@don-gato_805086213865620 Does your app show the camera thumbnails with their last good images, but with "Device disconnected" appearing on each? If yes, then that UID switch is likely turned-off i.e. that's what my app shows if my NVR's UID is turned off. Next time you go there be sure once you've turned UID to On that you can turn-off Wi-Fi on your phone and still access the NVR and cams using cellular data, as if you were anywhere in the world. We had two houses1,500 miles apart and one of them was Up North such that we had to be concerned not only about security but also possible failures leading to freeze-ups. I put an electronic keypad in and the first year we had it our HVAC failed, which I knew because my remotely-accessible thermostat showed the inside temp dropping. Was able to give the local repair company a passcode to get in (and the code also to our security system) and they fixed that problem. At the very least hide a key somewhere. Stuff happens.Oh, a final thought. If you spent $1,000 on installation you ought to be able to send those guy(s) a key and have them fix this for you.
@joseph_1979 Ah I see that. Yes I too have that de-selected for all my cams. What about my MD Sensitivity slider question. This is all so confusing. Also, why am I considered a "new user" after a couple years such that I can't post here without some sort of time delay between?
@don-gato_805086213865620 Before you left the installation, did you test your setup by disconnecting from local Wi-Fi and using your phone's cellular service to verify the app worked, and would work from "the outside"? Did you set-up a hotspot on your phone and use your laptop/Reolink Client to verify that it also worked as if you were "back to New York"? If not, that was a mistake. If Joseph is right that your UID is not enabled, you should be able to walk someone locally (at the NVR) into fixing it.
If that is already ON and it still doesn't work, that may mean your router there is blocking it somehow.
@joseph_1979 Joseph I don't see either a way to "disable 'others'" with my RLC-810A cams. What I do see under Detection is "MD Sensitivity" which has only a Low/Medium/High slider and no OFF position. Then there is another category to the right of this called "Sensitivity for Smart Detection" with similar sliders for People, Vehicles, and Pets. Can you (or anyone) explain please the exact relationship (if any) between the MD Sensitivity slider and the three Smart Detection sliders. Does MD Sensitivity slider affect Smart in any way???
Following the update of my RLN8-410 NVR's firmware to v3.4.0.293_24010832 the Camera Name field under each channel/camera's Display tab can not be set to None. EVERY ONE of my 8 channels' "Camera Name" fields appears as one of Top Center, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Center, or Bottom Right, but none appears as "None" nor can I select None in the drop-down and have it stick/stay in place. Thus far this is only an annoyance, because selecting "None" causes the camera's name to disappear in the various displays, but it inspires questions:
Any feedback is welcome.
@andgab81_426516035567839>Anyone having the same problem?Yeah Andrea I noticed this a couple days ago (all my cams showing not their Name but instead channel0x) but this morning their proper names are showing again. Probably fixed with Version 4.45.1 just today? Both iPhone iOS and iPad OS now working again.
I updated to .7 from .6 and nothing has broken afaict.
@joseph_1979 And it worked. After uninstalling 8.8.5 completely, the install of 8.15.6 needed only the NVR password and that was it. I did have some trouble getting on of my 8 channel cameras to appear in my preferred Multiview, but after some significant fiddling-around it did start working for me.
@joseph_1979 Thank you, I will try that.
@joseph_1979 I tried upgrading from 8.8.5 to 8.15.6 and:
Do you think the error was caused by the 8.8.5 installation? That I need to uninstall that first, and then add everything to the NVR "from scratch"? Is there a "how to upgrade" somewhere here?
@joseph_1979 Hmm I didn't know there was a "manual" having only seen the Quick Start Guide before. Thank you for that.
@leonard-eagleton_249733963833481 What version are you trying to use? I have 8.8.5 on my W7 pc and it works flawlessly afaict. I tried to update some (many?) months ago and it didn't work at all so I dropped-back to 8.8.5.
@joseph_1979 Well, 8/2.8 is not 3, it is actually 2.86, but I appreciate the clarification.
I just looked at my E1 Outdoor Wi-Fi and my E1 Outdoor PoE and... well I don't know how you determined "1.8x" vs the 3x advertised. What is the math involved, or do you aim them at some sort of chart, or... what???
So disappointed no one is interested in this. The cam I mentioned with a "loose connector" appears instead to be flaky and I'm having a hard time troubleshooting it. It certainly doesn't help that every time the NVR loses contact with it, all its settings are gone and I have to <try to> get all of them back to where they belong "by hand".
This is such a basic need, I can't fathom why this wasn't built-in to the software from Day 1 of product release.SKIP TO NEXT RECORDING |>SKIP TO PREVIOUS RECORDING <|
Umm, a detailed description of your needs would be a good place to start. Where you want to put it, what you want to see/accomplish with it, etc.
@user_747401694544069_747401694544069 My E1 Outdoor "stays put" just fine. To my knowledge only Auto Tracking would do that, so make sure it's off. I never have tried PTZ mode but that's another place to look.
I have an RLN8-410 NVR system with mostly RLC-810A PoE cameras but one W--Fi. I have had a few problems over the past few months, once where a camera lens was cracked (a tree branch probably) and took-on water and failed, and recently one where the Ethernet connector became loose and lost contact. Each time I was able to repair, but each time too the NVR "lost track" of the cams' settings and I had to re-do everything from scratch! And yes, there was a lot to do in each case and it takes a while to get them all where I want them again. If there is a way to export NVR and Camera settings anywhere, I surely do not see it. I do see an "Export" button on the Wi-Fi camera BUT NO 'RESTORE'.This is just mind-boggling to me. Please someone tell me that their is a way to Export NVR and individual Cam settings and then to Import them again after (in my case) the camera is restored to operation, or in the case of an NVR HDD failure, to get-back all the proper settings for it.
