I'm currently trying to resolve some issues directly with the support. They ask multiple times for camera settings - screenshots. Why? Isn't there a way to retrieve such information in a complex way in form of an export? Or bar code or QR code that would contain crucial information about camera settings? - excluding personal information in regards to GDPR.
Can you please add next/prev [censored]ons to video player (windows client). Thank you
I wish there could be an option to force re-upload all or selected videos to FTP server.
Hello. I would like to have advanced wifi settings where I could define a secondary/backup wifi. I have my primary wifi and this is backed up by my secondary wifi. If the camera fails to connect to the main wifi, It could search for any other known (used-defined) wifi and connect to that. Wifi would switch to the one with stronger signal. Can this be done?
@reolink-fiona thank you, I see it. Does this feature work also on motion detection recording or just on continuous?
@reolink-fiona I have the latest firmware. I will contact the support team.
@reolink-fiona I know, but this is a wishlist Can the idea I'm suggesting be implemented somehow? It could be useful. Especially the time-based scenes (scenes that have expire time and after this time they revert to other scene / scheduling)
@reolink-fiona Hello. Yes I have the latest firmware and I can see the push interval. It's unfortunate that I can set only 20,30,60 and 120 second interval. I would be great if there could be a custom interval. Or maybe even a 5 min interval. Anyway, the original idea was a temporary suspension of all notifications for a camera or a certain set of cameras. You usually want the interval to work as set up, but my idea was to suspend all notification in case you encounter a friendly activity. If you monitor a certain area and for instance your family is there and you know they will be in the picture for a while you probably don't want notifications every two minutes, right? You could set up a privacy filter or detection zone, but then you would have to keep that in mind and not forget to revert that setting.
@reolink-fiona Hello. I have the latest firmware. Upgrade of the firmware was the first thing I did when I powered on the camera. I have the false alarm videos and also the non-detecting videos. I can provide them later.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 this is doable if there is a constant sound, like machine buzzing in the background. but even so, i would let user the an option - the ability to override such feature and manually set equalizer to the user's need.
Hi. I own RLC-542WA camera with motion detection and I'm not sure why such a thing like FTP postpone exists. Can anybody explain please?I've set up FTP upload as a security measure against physical damage or camera theft. To my surprise, videos uploaded to FTP server were missing the beginning. It's important for me to see what triggered the motion recording and what was happening. If the camera was stolen I wouldn't have a chance to see the footage. Maybe it's just how I am used to compe[censored]or's system where after a video is recorded and finalized, it's uploaded to FTP server. That also may not be the best approach, but at least when I review videos from server, they are complete and not trimmed like from Reolink. What's the point of having incomplete footage on FTP server? If users could define how many seconds of pre-motion video is recorded, that would probably solve the whole issue.
Thanks, I will be looking forward to it.
@email_525317533946102 yes, that will work for blowing wind, but for other noises no. If there is a device generating noise in form of a certain frequency (like fans in server room, ac unit, heavy machinery, etc.), simple equalizer does do job (can mute frequencies, boost other frequencies, turn whole amp down or up).
Hi. It would be great if you could add options for microphone adjustments like manually set amp level, boost, noise reduction and normalization, manually specify frequency to remove (useful for industrial areas with constant frequency noises from traffic or machines like AC units), etc.
Hi, is it possible to implement more advanced scenes? Advanced in a way that I could define perhaps custom privacy zone in each? Or maybe also other settings as well? This would make it very easy for me, and others, to simply switch to a scene where I defined other privacy zones so easy. Also, It would be great if I could define a time interval when a scene is activated/deactivated (scheduling). Also mentioned in other thread as well, temporary scene - defined by time and after this time passes, scene reverts to different (or default, or user defined) scene.
Hello. It would be great if there was a possibility to silence the notifications for a period of time. For example - if I get push notification that camera has detected motion and the activity in the area is friendly and expected to last some time, I would like to suspend notifications for that particular camera (or set of cameras) for a certain period of time. After selected time (from a predefined array of times), all notifications would resume to normal. Suspend notifications for camera 1,2,3 for 15,30,60,120 minutes... etc. This could be also implemented in form of a scene, where upon selecting scene a time period for that scene would be applied. This way, users wouldn't have to worry about forgetting dis/arming camera. So if I select a scene named "no alerts" with time 60 minutes, that would revert to previous (or default or user defined) scene.
Hello. I've seen this in many products and services - ability to define custom text. Can Reolink do something similar? The custom text could be applied in both push and email notifications (separately configured of course but with same principles). This would benefit even non-english speaking users that could define custom text + variables (system variables like camera name, date, time, etc). Everyone could define the text as they please.
Hi, I've recently obtained RLC-542WA (running latest firmware). For now, I'm just testing it in interior. Camera is watching main entrance and is sitting on a bench approx 2m from the door. About 2/5 of the picture has been marked for privacy (whole left portion of the picture). If I just swing by, right in front of the lens, nothing happens, no alert. Even in max sensitivity. If I stay in the picture for a moment or if I gain a bit distance (stand by the door), alert is finally triggered. I played a little with sensitivity, setting it down to medium (24). I entered the interior through the door and I was shocked no alerts were triggered. Mind the fact the door is 2m away, basically covering half of the remaining picture so opening the door and me entering the premises was quite a frame change. On another note, I get false alarms all the time. From another room there is light that affects the camera's decision the turn IR on/off. Whenever IR is on/off the picture is changed (technically yes, but actually no). So I get pointless false alarms and zero actual alarms.I just ditched 26€ consumer grade camera (Tapo C110) with basic functionality that had zero false alarms (even with switching IR LED on/off) and awesome accuracy on real motion. Regarding IR LEDs I made a post so hopefully that will be addressed in that thread.Anyone same problems? I don't know how to mitigate problem of max sensitivity not detecting my 0,5s movement in front of the camera.
Currently, my RLC-542WA (and probably other cameras), has 3 types of motions that can be set to detect. Any motion, Person and Vehicle. I suggest adding sub category to Any motion - checkbox with name "Include/Exclude technical alerts". That would include
For example this would mean, after I zoom, camera disables generating alerts at the beginning of action (zoom start) and enables generating alerts from new base image (after zoom stop & autofocus adjust stop).
Hello. How was this issue resolved? The feature user is suggesting is pretty cool, I also would like to see it in my RLC-542WA.
