Is UID enabled checked on the Network / Advanced section of config and is 3G/4g/5g switched on the client settings of the app ?
Hi Martin,I'm sure the moderators will correct me if I'm wrong but I reckon if you plug a laptop into the NVR, pickup a DHCP (if it serves one) or use a static in the 172.16 subnet you should be able to use the cameras inbuilt web server to access the device from a browser.. just http to it. From there you can enter config and export the file out to the local disk and import back in after a firmware upgrade.. That's the theory behind it anyway.. I don't have an NVR and use this method for upgrades.. The only thing i'm not sure about is whether this works as I described but worth a try .. Cheers
Just fitted one for a customer and it was louder than I expected.. once in an enclosure it quietened down a bit.. I think they are loud by nature..
Hi Bob, This is good news, I've just received the mailshot for this device and these specs fit my requirement perfectly as I'm looking at a dome style to cover the front door of my property and give a better angle (more acute) viewing as people approach.I did quickly scan the headlines on the mailshot I just received and there's no mention of an SD card and was specifically looking for it, similarly the webpage, a more detailed overview of this device only mentions this in the specifications page.I'm assuming the SD slot is not populated with a card at point of sale like 410s & 411s?Might be worth getting marketing to include this feature in the main body of the advert as I'm sure many users will find this feature useful. If I hadn't read your reply I would of probably missed the SD card feature until it popped up on a review etc.Cheers
yep agreed, for me it's the SD card I'd like to see.. I don't run an NVR at the moment (due to cost when I put my solution together) I converted an old PC into an FTP server which works a treat. I like the SD card concept for the fact that if the NVR gets taken or the FTP server and they don't have time to steal the cameras you should still have some evidence available.. sort of belt and braces approach.
Quella, nice work on the review, very well presented and informative... defo think they made an improvement with the night vision..
Glad you got it working again, would of been gutted if it was beyond repair.. Here's a shot at the back of mine from the new 5MP.. Imaged scaled down somewhat for upload..api.cgi_.jpg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxGgDfe5AjASome good ground fighting moves from these young foxes..
Nathan F, yeah good idea, i'd be interested... I reckon they could program it to react over a larger area.. for instance a moth is say 2 inch square with motion blur and light reflection, a person is a larger area. Not sure how the current sensitivity works but don't think it's done of size of light change, probably intensity..
Quella, glad you noticed that with the code as well.. I mentioned it to support and they said the white balance had been adjusted to compensate for bright sun glare on day vision.. I rolled back and am happy with the results.. hope they fix what they done in the next release..
Ok, if that's the case I'd do what Bob has suggested, looks like the camera is pointing towards the wall it's mounted on as you can clearly see the IR reflection off the building so the LEDS are working. Try and tilt it away from the wall of the building but still retain the image area you want captured. I'd still expect to see more of the grass illuminated so double check the defaults on the settings..
Hi, how are the settings on the camera picture basic and advanced settings? looks to me like the shutter speed is too fast at first glance.. what I normally do is dial in the picture for night vision as its a bit more tricky then check the day vision.. if the camera is not set to default on basic and advanced I'd do that first to see if the night vision improves then fine tune to preference.
Hi, I don't think it's necessary to update firmware for the sake of it unless it's billed as correcting a particular issue or feature addition. Generally, you need to update the corresponding NVR software with the camera software to ensure compatibility. If you're happy with it i'd leave it unless instructed by Reolink in a support call scenario.I'm one of those people that can't help themselves and update the firmware when it's released regardless of current performance. However, I rolled back the latest software to date to the previous version as I didn't like what they done to the white balance which was apparently done to correct situations where sunlight glare was causing issues. In most other cases it might be an improvement but for me it wasn't as it messed with the settings for night vision. Regards
Just tried a wireshark trace and can only really see data when the liveview is open and trying to connect to the camera and subsequently when the stream is running.. if you drop the app to the background the stream appears to stop.. there's a few other packets here and there but not a stream.. hopefully someone more technical will confirm this..
Have you tried accessing the camera through its web server locally.. and subsequently re-initialising the SD card.. I think you need to do that if you up or down grade the firmware.. obviously if you cant see it you won't be able to re-init..
Hi,Is there a way I can get the UID of the cameras attached to an NVR remotely. I didn't take photos of the individual cameras before installing and have a couple of issues that may need RMA. I'm remote from the cameras but have full access to the NVR via client apps ..thanks in advance.
I think this is possible, the NVR should see the cameras and assign them to individual channels on the NVR...
Hi,Try this link, it's for the 410s https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/firmware/RLC-410S_843_17061502.ziphope it works
Hi,Sounds a weird problem you have there.. I'm running v2.0.0.843_17061502 on my RLC-410s as I don't like what they've done to the white balance with the latest code. even if the overwrite got switched off you'd still see the card, or the schedule got screwed it would still be visible.. it looks on the face of it that the SD card went offline for some reason?I use the cameras web server to access (locally in the same subnet) when i'm doubt as the clients when used remotely give me a few hassles, especially if bandwidth is a problem. The only thing I can suggest is to re-init the SD card at some point ... but of course all the previous data will get wipedCheers
Yeah know what you mean.. sort of semi intuitive I just tried every button to see what occurs..
