I am getting frustrated with every update to Reolink software. It seems that more often than not, you break something that was working fine.
For me, I was using app version 4.28.0.8 for Android. It was OK and everything was working fine. Unfortunately, my phone automatically updated the app to version 4.29.0.5
and now I have a set of new issues to deal with. I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled and had to add 11 camera's back on. Don't ask me to try changing this setting and that setting, because everything was good the way it was
with the previous version. It's whatever changed in the new version that created these issues.
Issue 1: "PIR" button is too small, in my opinion, to see. It's also hard to see if it is set to "on" (Blue) or not because it is so small. The old button was much easier to see. Please revert back to the old way.
And do we really need that stupid symbol in the middle of the screen. The words "Not connected" is sufficient enough.
Issue 2: When rotating phone horizontally, this is what happens most of the time...
Then when I rotate back to vertical, this is what happens most of the time...
Please test updates thoroughly before you release them. I would like to also see a way to revert back to the last good working version
be made available to users if they would like to step back into the last version. Is there a way to install the previous version software?Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@starfish21_37513982370005 I agree the PRI button is hard to see with 4.29.0.5 also it disabled the sensor in the camera and the only way to make it work again was to reset the camera.

Hi there, for the PIR sensor change, I will collect your request and forward it to the team for consideration.
For the horizontal view and the vertical view problem, could you please reboot your APP and try again?
If you want to go back to the previous version, you can download it from our download center. The version is 4.28.08. -

For the PIR icon, you can still enable and disable the PIR sensor by clicking the PIR icon. You don't need to reset the camera. -
@reolink-fiona It disables the PIR sensor and it wont turn back on even if you try on the pc client the only way to make it work again is to reset the camera (Argus Eco). works like it should with 4.28. I have reported this to support.

Worse than that for me. Android app no longer connects to ANY of my cameras: Argus (original), RLC-4105MP, RLC-420-5MP, TLC-510WS.
NONE of them will even connect.
The Windows Client still works, but the Android app is now officially "broken".Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

Do you view via Wifi or cellular? You can try to change the stream mode from high to low. We may need some information to check the issue. I have sent you the message via Chat. You can check.

Similar problem here. After the last app update my cameras are slow to connect and keep zooming in on their own.

You can now try to change the stream mode to high and back to low to figure out the issue. Thank you for reporting the issue to us. We are checking the problem now.

Update: I tried the Android app again this morning, and it now connects to all of my RLC and Argus cameras. Perhaps what I assumed was a problem with the Android app was instead an issue with the Reolink Cloud. The version remains 4.29.0.5 and now it works. Thanks to Fiona for prompting me to take another look.
