Hi, y’all,
NVR's new firmware v3.0.0.200 is available on the download center now. In this version, there are many changes including the new product support and some frequently-asked requests.
I see that some of you have already downloaded and tested the features, you can know more about the features with this post or tell me any feedback on the firmware.
Models: RLN8-410 & RLN16-410
Hardware version: H3MB18, N2MB02, and N3MB01
Download via https://bit.ly/3wtdIS6.
How to upgrade: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900003659286-How-to-Upgrade-Firmware-via-PoE-NVRs-New-UI-
Please remember to check the "reset configuration" when upgrading the firmware.1. Support Duo 2 & TrackMix
TrackMix can display as Picture-in-Picture or dual-view. Yes! PIP finally comes back.
You can choose to view wide-lens or detailed images in the big picture. Just left-click the mouse and you will see the PIP setting.
Duo 2 will only occupy one channel of the NVR. For the NVR with H3MB18, N2MB02, and N3MB01, after the upgrade, the NVR can live view up to 6MP. So if you want to view the Duo 2 in the NVR, you can set the mainstream resolution as 4096*1536.
But you can view an 8MP video of the Duo 2 via the APP/Client if you connect the NVR to the APP/Client.
2. Added pet detection
You can use the NVR to detect and record your pet videos with this new update. But please note that the camera needs to support pet detection first. The Duo 2, 8MP, or 12MP cameras can support pet detection.
3. Optimized multi-screen display mode up to 13 windows/24 windows.
This display mode is to support the new products like Duo and TrackMix that may need up to two windows to display. The 8-channel NVR can still work up to 8 cameras and the 16-channel NVR can still work up to 16 cameras.
4. Added resolution HD, recording, or detection icons status reminder option(system>>general)
Finally! This is the setting requested by many Reolinkers. You can choose whether to display those HD, recording or detection status icons or not.
5. Support access to NVR’s H.265 video using ONVIF.
Now you can access the NVR’ H.265 video using RTSP stream in some third-party software.
6. Added Fixed Frame Rate Settings(camera>>stream>>fixed frame rate)
-If you choose “Fixed frame rate”, the frames will be fixed and not be automatically adjusted for night vision.
-If you choose “Auto frame rate”, the frames will be automatically adjusted for night vision to guarantee the image quality in dark.
If you meet the problem of the smearing image or missed AI alarms, you can choose to enable the fixed frame rate.Only the AI cameras have this function now. If you don’t see this setting, you can try to upgrade your camera to the latest version.
7. Added person/vehicle/pet option for the spotlight(Choose “Auto” mode)
8. Added the function of the Day/Night switching threshold
Camera>>Image setting>>Advanced>>Day/Night switching threshold
9. Added push test and the settings for the interval time(push test is only available in the APP.)
10. Added the siren schedule in the NVR and was able to set up a custom siren via the APP.
11. Added the function of keeping video recordings for 2 days, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, and 30 days.
You can choose the time that obeys the privacy rule or your own requirements.
Surveillance>>Overwrite>>
12. Added zoom function for playback and full-screen playback function
13. Updated Web client
14. Solved the problem of pixelated images in complex scenes.
15. Fixed other known issues.

@kneilon_529804993618165 NVR doesn't support the smart home currently. If you want to connect the camera to the Alexa and record them to the NVR at the same time, you can try this method. https://community.reolink.com/post/13124

@marc_279562978566293 Can you check if you need to input the password of the camera? You can click the "incorrect password" on the screen and then input the password. If it can't work, you can give some screenshots to the support team to check, Submit a request – Reolink Support.

Are nvr cameras supported/viewable on a Google hub display? And if so, is there an update for it?

I'm also asking for the RLN8-410-E (hardware H3MB16)... update?

@Reolink-Fiona In the NVR's Maintenance settings, Auto Update is turned on, and when I click on "Check for Latest Version", it says "This is the most current version available".
If Auto Update and Check for Latest Version don't work, what's the purpose of these features? Is this a future capability?Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@reolink-fiona All good. I sorted it. Just had via the app turn push apps on and off a few times and hit test button and it worked. Weird?.
-
@warnzie_464572544110774 That's odd. I will tell this to the R&D team to check more.

I updated my 16 channel NVR, but there is no good viewable modes for the Duo 2, it crams the wide view into a single camera window instead of taking up two slots to get a normal wide screen picture. The only option is to do a full screen view of a single camera.
also, the Duo 2 still does not work with night time person detection. When will this be fixed?Reply QuoteShare1- Share this Post
