Infrared lights on off triggers motion alert RLC520A
-
On a RLC520A, light changes from dark to light or light to dark, including turning on or off IR lights automatically and manually, triggers motion alert..
Running newest firmware 3.0.0.177, but same in former fw. -
Hi Doc
Thanks for posting that, this was something I had been wondering for a while. I have the RLC520 which also suffers from motion alerts due to light changes and had been wondering if the cameras with person/vehicle detection have the same problem, sounds like they do. I think if we could set a maximum change on the motion detection it might resolve this problem.
Thanks! -
Please note that if you only enable smart detection, day/night mode switching will not trigger the person/vehicle alarm. If you only turn on the person/vehicle alarm and still receive the alarm caused by the change of light, please report this problem to:https://reolink.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Not sure I understand the comment regarding smart detection vs person/vehicle..
I have all three checked, but it is quite evident, that when picture turns from colour to blck and white, and ir is turned on automatically, I receive an alarm - at that time specific
This seems like something that would be easily fixed with software? -
Could you please report this issue to our support team at support@reolink.com and attach an alarming video in the attachment? They will consult the engineer on this issue. We will try our best to help you with this problem.

Any update to this? The motion alerts due to change in lighting drive me nuts. The Arlo cameras i replaced with this system never did that.

I don't see my D500/B500 cameras in the download list. I also can't find my camera info in the app or desktop client. The selections available to me in the settings are not the same as shown in the support instructions.
