      Hi.

Ok I think I found quite a disturbing issue with the doorbell person detection, I would like to share with the audience here to verify or keep an eye on it.

It seems that the person detection suddenly stops after a certain period of time. I experienced this 4 times now as I could double check with a 510A on the same location. The doorbell was not able to detect a postman walking right up in front of it between 0-7 meters, full sensibility. After a restart,.the detection worked again.
The doorbell itself still works, shows a live picture and all. But all person detection stops.

Please report if you have experienced something similar or if it is an individual problem.

@kristof I have installed the WIFI video doorbell for a month and still able to detect person. What is your firmware?

@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 it's the version v3.0.0.1459_22102808, the one it was delivered with. I haven't found any more up to date firmware yet.

@kristof That's the version installed on my video doorbell. I just rechecked and both the doorbell and the RLC511WA detected the same persons.

What I am observing is that sometimes the two chimes are not being activated when the doorbell button is pressed. I think that either the doorbell transmitter is somehow faulty or they need to increase the power of the 433MHz transmitter. If chime is in close proximity with no obstacle in between it works most of the time.

@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 it is not about the chime. I don't have evidence whether if visitor detection also doesn't work, that occurs too rarely. The postman drops the mail in the mailbox just below the doorbell, so it is solely about person detection for now.

I will deactivate auto reboot, then I might have a chance to keep the doorbell in the "fault state" to do further research on that.

@kristof I know that your case has nothing to do with chimes. This is what I encountered. Maybe the cam is faulty but try to check if the visitor is triggered when the person detection fails.

@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Ok I misunderstood 🙂 I noticed also something: sometimes the wall socket is a reason that the chime does not work, even if it is in very close to the doorbell, something seems to disturb the signal. So it might be an idea to try different sockets.

But anyway, my intitial problem has been forwared to support, let's see if they can work it out.

@kristof There is no 433MHz harmonics. I think the 433MHz signal from the doorbell is not strong enough.
                        I opened a ticket.

@kristof I know this is an old thread but someone may still find it. I have a POE Reolink DoorCam I have found that motion detection is very unreliable. I can only quote situations I am fully aware of but my camera fails to detect people (house occupants) leaving and arriving at the door where the cam is mounted, probably 10% of the events. I know because it registers clips of people leaving and arriving and over the course of a day people arrive when there is no record of them leaving when I know they left (because it was me). If it misses people 3 feet from the camera what else does it miss? I have discussed with support, updated the firmware, and changed the settings with no real improvement.
