Greetings everyone,
We just introduced our latest innovation, the 16MP series – cutting-edge security cameras that take surveillance to unprecedented levels of detail with its remarkable 16MP image output. Let's dive into how this impacts your security quality!
What is a 16MP Security Camera:
A 16MP camera boasts an impressive resolution of 5312 x 2988 pixels, delivering approximately 16 million pixels per frame. This means unparalleled clarity in both close-up and distant visuals, setting a new standard for security imagery.
Key Advantages of 16MP Security Camera:- Clearer imagery: The stand-out feature is its exceptional high resolution, enabling the clear visualization of fine details, such as logos on clothing. With twice the detail of 4K and a staggering 16 times more pixels than 1080p, the 16MP resolution ensures crystal-clear video quality.
- Less blind spot: The high resolution allows for a broader and clearer field of view, reducing the need for multiple cameras to cover extensive areas. Our 16MP cameras offer a 180° field of view, capturing details with utmost precision and significantly minimizing blind spots, whether surveilling a spacious backyard or a broad street.
- Detailed Identification: Offering complete details of objects or individuals, the camera facilitates precise more identification, making it a valuable tool for security purposes.

@reolinkshayla
The 5312 x 2988 pixels is really good for recording of more details. TheOwlHouse -
@reolinkshayla current Reolink NVR’s will support 16mp cameras? Currently in description of every NVR is mentioned that ,,supported cameras max 12MP”

I can find nothing about any new NVR requirements to support these 16MP cameras. Can I use my RLN8-410 with hardware version N2MB02 with these new cams? Any restrictions at all in re: older NVR hardware?

@joseph_1979 Thanks Joseph I surfed & surfed and couldn't find this.
Says "Reolink NVRs with hardware (Hw_H3MB18, Hw_N3MB01, Hw_N2MB02) do not support 16MP, you will be prompted to switch to 6MP resolution." which implies the cams will FUNCTION with my N2MB02, but only if they are set to the reduced resolution am I right? And thereby still record but at 6MP not 16MP?
If yes, maybe I would buy a 16MP camera and use it in 6MP mode until I upgrade my NVR.
