A recent fire at our church highlighted the need for real-time cloud based security/video storage. The fire melted our Reolink POE 5MP bullet camera, along with the memory card it held, so no help there... All the camera sites can be POE connected,eliminiating the need for battery, solar, Wifi, etc.... A single WiFi camera in our situation would be appropriate, but for the most part, POE cameras are just easier.
About the only Cloud solution I see with Reolink cameras is the Duo POE camera, along with a DVR. Are there others? We had 6 cameras in our system, and would like to use the remaining 5 RCL-410 cameras we have... Is cloud storage an option with any of the Reolin DVRs?Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@bakkenkl_524424574742716 Our PoE cameras don't support Cloud service now. You can also look at our wifi wired camera, E series & Lumus. They can support Cloud services. You can know more about the supported model and available country here, https://cloud.reolink.com/.
If you use the NVR, the video can record to the HDD of the NVR. You can put your NVR in a hidden place. It can be safe. -
@reolink-fiona Hi there,
We bought and installed 7 POE Reolink cameras recently having seen all the publicity about Reolink cloud. It didn't occur to me that it wouldn't apply to the whole product range.
The whole reason for going for them was the additional security of cloud backup. Are you going to be adding this feature in a firmware update? Was this an active decision against it? I can't fathom why you'd leave out cloud options on these. -
@bakkenkl_524424574742716 I believe all of Reolink's RLC cameras support FTP, which copies motion recording to an FTP server which can be ANYWHERE.
i.e. you can build your own "cloud". Not as slick and fancy, but certainly more secure than having an NVR on the premises. -
@user_679517071716589_679517071716589 All you need is Filezilla/Cerberus ftp server application running on a PC and allow the cameras to upload the recorded files via FTP/FTPS. Moreover there are cloud FTP hosting services which you can subscribe to until Reolink upgrade their cloud service to accept all Reolink models.

@crimp-on_62210811129 Thank you both for these suggestions. That will be useful!
It would be nice to know from Reolink what their plans are regarding integration into their in-house cloud solution is though. I've put these cameras in for a client precisely because their previous NVR was stolen by thieves;it's going to be much harder explaining FTP to the customer than it is pointing them at your cloud subscription service!
Need large building, POE, Cloud solution.
