Argus 3 Pro vs Argus 2 ( vs Argus PT (2K)

Hi,
I use Argus 3 (pro) and Argus 2 cameras.

The Argus 3/has a better resolution, can detect people and vehicles, etc.

The Argus 2 reacts much faster than the 3. I also noticed that "high" recordings start later than "low."

Argus 2 are also recognized small animals, which unfortunately remain undetected in the Argus 3.

Now I'm considering getting another Argus PT or PT 2k.

Can someone give a rating and name advantages and or disadvantages?

I read that PT is comparable to the Argus 3 (without pan&tilt of course)

Does this also apply to the accuracy of recognition?

There is new firmware for the Argus 3 pro and Argus PT 2K. This has improved AI detection a lot. If you want, you can try to contact the support team to get.

My Argus 3 Pro detects cats, even when they are not close to the camera. Do you have smaller animals (mice, hamsters…)️

As for the startup time, it's the same here: about 2 seconds for High and Low.

as an example i got an argus 2 at one corner of the house and an argus 3 pro at the other corner, with the argus 2 i can see a rabbit hoppeling in direction to the argus 3 pro (and past). The argus 3 pro sees nothing.

I have four Argus 2 cameras and an Argus PT (2k). I replaced one of my Argus 2 at the same location with the PT (2K). I mainly use them to capture critters that wonder into my yard.
 
Argus PT (2K) vs Argus 2 Pros:
. Better image detail and better night vision.
. Smart Motion detection (Person/Vehicle). Great for limiting alerts and works well.
. Pan and Tilt. Great for alignment of image where you want it.
. 16x digital zoom vs 6x for the Argus 2
 
Argus PT (2K) vs Argus 2 Cons:
. Slower to wake up and record.
. WIFI connection seems a little bit touchier.
. Larger in size (Not a big deal for me).
. The battery is not replaceable.
 
The PT (2k) is superior except for the slower wakeup time to record. Which is a decrement in capturing the quick moving critters moving thru the image.
