Hi I have a Argus Pt solar wireless camera along with a Duo 2 camera. Both are connected by WI-Fi. The problem is that the Argus keeps showing disconnected in the app on the camera screen where both camera views are displayed. I can select connect and it takes me out of the dual screen display to its own screen where it connects and states connected. However, when I switch back to both camera screen display window, it immediately shows the Argus disconnected. Prior to the second camera install, the Argus stayed connected I had them both connected by a 2.4 connection when I first noticed the issue. I did switch the Duo over to a 5 g connection but didn't help. The only thing I found besides the ip address are of course different, was that the default gateways are different 101.1 for the 2.4 and 102.1 for the 5g. I don't know if this is normal or could be the problemAny suggestions appreciatedThanksRick
My experience is that the Reolink battery powered cameras show "Disconnected" in the app until the user presses on the disconnected message. Then the app connects to the camera.Fully powered cameras, such as the RLC models and the powered Duo cameras will remain connected all the time.Cameras receive their network information from the primary router. That includes the IP address of the gateway. Every brand of WiFi router is different. Perhaps your system puts 2.4G and 5G devices into different subnets?
Thanks for the reply. If the app shows the battery one is disconnected, will I still receive a notification from it? Do you think I should place them both on the same 2.4 G . I was trying to limit congestion on the 2.4G is why I went with the 5G on the DuoThanks again for your help, much appreciated
Thanks for the replyThe wireless don't have the 5g capability option. Would be great if it did. Somehow, I think I got it figured out. On the app, just below the 3 dots there is a little box, If I press that I have the option of a screen with split windows windows and a full screen. I selected the windows screen and now they are both connected. They're little bity screens, but at least both are connected. Thanks again to all that replied
