So far so good, I approve...PS... One question, I guess we don't get time laspe if we have a NVR? Is that why I never see the feature?
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Only thing I would suggest is in settings turn off Hardware decoding. This made it work much better.
Where is the setting for hardware decoding?
@robert-leyzerovich_519547077562499 Thanks but that would leave the camera in position for 5 minutes even when a car speeds through the zone. Here's what I'm looking for, lets say a person walking their dog comes across our grass. The camera will track them up to the guard point setting them return to the set point. I would like it to keep tracking them as long as it can so we can see whose dogs are taking dumps on our grass. That way we can get the owners to pick it up.Suppose a robber walks through the guard point on their way to a window. The camera will track them up to the guard point setting them return to the set point. I would like it to stay on the person and film them intruding our premise so we have evidence to give police.Otherwise it's working just fine returning to the set point for things that move quickly through the zone.
@robert-leyzerovich_519547077562499 How did you get yours to stay with the target while in view? Mines goes back to the guard point after xxx and no longer tracks the target even while they're visible to the camera.
@svensk-svagströmsteknik_264796796358863 I agree, I kept getting false triggers at night and it would have been nice to know what the camera was seeing.
@crimp-on_62210811129 Great review, too bad the camera doesn't automatically zoom to what created the motion. That means we still won't know what kind of car or your neighbors address unless you happen to manually zoom it at that moment.
@chuck_529633235447953 In case anyone else is interested I found 8.5.2 here https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012466173-All-Reolink-Client-VersionsSo far it's not as choppy when watching the camera's.
@ks How can we download that stable version?
How do we tell the official firmware releases from the ones being beta tested? I would like to put our camera's back on the official release since there seems to be quirks and anomalies in these versions I have loaded that wasn't there before. What is the official firmware versions for;RLN8-410 (N3MB01)RLC-823ARLC-842AAlso, what is the official PC client release? The video played more fluent and less choppy before.
@reolink-fiona Thanks for adding that to the latest release, just a thought...I would like to be able to use the arrow keys to move forward and backwards like with most media players.
@john_350143387672724 I third this request, it would be nice to have the guard point on the building at night and on the parking lot while we're open.
Just wondering if there are any shortcut keys for navigating the live playback in the client?I tried using the left and right arrows but nothing happens. Is there a simple way to advance it up to the time or frame you're looking for? The phone app has little time tabs that help you get where you're going but the client seems very limited as a video player. Also, is there a manual that explains all the clients features (hidden or otherwise)?
@chuck_529633235447953 I use a LOGITEC M310 and it works very well.
Thanks, that's what I wanted to know, something that's known to work.
@chuck_529633235447953 There is a compatible issue between the firmware. You can try to upgrade your NVR firmware to this version v3.0.0.2. For RLN8-410 with hardware version N3MB01: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KFOOcHHMen1oDJJM0i9WD-VNwcnJjMYD/view?usp=sharing
Thanks, the new firmware fixed the problem with me seeing the alarm settings. Will I get future production updates if any are ever sent or will I have to update manually?
@reolink-lorenz I wonder if auto-zoom can also be added. Its nice tracking can detect a person but zooming would might make it possible to see their face.
@grimed Thanks, I'll have to look for the USB port on the front. I only saw the one on the back. The desktop client is limited compared to the one on the NVR. I made the mistake of loading the beta firmware in our camera's and now I can't even adjust the alarms.
As for the parked car issue...It seems the return to the guard point is seen as the vehicle moving. Then visa versa, as it returns to center on the vehicle, it's seen as the vehicle moving. So it sits in a perpetual movement between the guard point and the vehicle being centered. How do we go back to the official firmware? I don't recall it doing this before.
Hello,Has anyone tried a wireless mouse with the RLN8-410 (N3MB01)? Is there one that works extremely well and has a long range? We have the NVR downstairs in the boiler room since that's where the wires left the building. But the monitor is up one floor in the office. I'm trying to figure out a way to control the NVR from the office without the expense of moving it upstairs. Also, there's only one USB port? How do you upgrade the firmware when the mouse is in that port?
