Anyone have ideas how to zoom in on an image? For instance, how to zoom in and read the license plate? Or how to zoom in to see a persons face? We have 4 RLC-823A which do good capturing the image but we can't make nothing out.
Anyone know if a Uniview, Model NVR301-08X-P8 NVR can be added to the ReoLink Client? We had one added to our church and it would be nice if I could see all the camera's in the same client.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 I've reset it multiple times and the setting no longer appears, even when logging in from the NVR. It just disappeared.
@ginny No go, I hate to have to reset it to default and start over but I don't see any other way to get web access back.
@ginny Thanks, I'll give that a try when I get to the church today.
@chuck_529633235447953 This is the switch I accidentally turned off, what it doesn't say is how to turn it back on once it's been turned off and the switch no longer appears in that screen. Any help please?https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900004435763-How-to-Set-up-Reolink-Ports-Settings-via-Reolink-Client-New-Client-?source=search
@user_650388602073200_650388602073200 The last setting in the picture they linked says export/import settings. That is how you'll save then restore your configuration.
I had logged into our RLN8-410 (N3MB01) via a web browser and was trying to see if I can get one of the camera's to stream outside of the NVR.I went to turn off the RTMP switch that I had enabled to test and accidentally turned off the HTTP switch at the same time (I don't see either of those switches in the client or directly on the NVR). Now I can't find the switch to turn it back on? Anyway to re-enable web access without resetting the NVR to default?
@vigy_591093180735512 Not sure about the others but I have motion turned off and just use people and cars for alarms. I don't have your problem.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 This is the setting I was referring to under alarms. For some reason it is always active when I log back in and I'd like it to stay off. I checked and I don't have pet detection active anywhere to include push, record etc... This seems to be more of a bud than a feature?
Anyone finding pet detection keeps turning itself back on? We have 3 RLC-842A and a RLC-823A, all with the latest firmware and each time I check the settings I notice pet detection is back on. We'd prefer it stay off. Anyone finding it turning itself back on besides us?
Google Drive won't let me download the files. I keep getting an error about third party cookies on Firefox that I don't know how to get rid of?
@violino1980_552450169454759 I agree. The language on their website is very unclear. Perhaps if they just said something like "These cameras are only compatible with the newer RLN8-410 model and not the previous RLN8-410-E.
Even more clear than that, with all the letters and numbers that exist, why call them both RLN8-410? Couldn't they have chosen a different model number to indicate this is a different device?
@bearhug To answer your question about how the light will impact it, the light will make the picture change to color at night if it's bright enough which I believe it is. Not really a worry, it's actually a better view at night.I found turning on the IR at night causes a messy and distorted picture. You may find the picture looks a lot better with the IR off.
Just thought I'd throw this out there, the new firmware seems to be working as advertised.I would still like to have auto tracking while patrolling.I would like to have 4 preset patrol points but have it auto track and stay with any moving targets (person or car) in those zones.
@big_ted Post a short clip so we can tell you if yours is like ours. I can definitely read a license plate that close.
@big_ted It just means the change in quality isn't detectable to the human eye. The same thing happens with audio, after while the change in quality isn't undetectable to our ears. In this case I would keep the bitrate up since it might make a difference when you zoom in on something you want to see like a face or a license plate etc...
@rob-vallone I don't know, I will give it a try but I thought with them being waterproof this shouldn't happen. We have two others of the same camera's that isn't doing it. My real question was how to open the lens since I can't catch up with the guy who installed them. I want to make sure I have the right tool before I go up the ladder since I'm deathly afraid of heights.
I do see a true weak point in patrol mode is the absence of autotraking with such mode. Is this already raised to developers and maybe included in an upcoming firmware? Thanks for you reply
But to not have it autotrack during a patrol is to have it see something while paroling but ignore what it sees, just keep patrolling???To also not have it stay with what it sees during autotracking it to have it see something, then go back to it's guard point instead of staying with what it's seeing.
One of our camera's, RLC-842A got all fogged up inside during yesterdays rain storm. I thought an outdoor camera would be water proof. What does it take to get the lens off so we can wipe the inside out? What do we need to do to make this camera less prone to fogging? Our other three camera's including one mounted next to it are looking fine.
