@tomselbyuk_331910860959874 I just wanted to add that whilst there is a setting on the Android app to synchronise with the phone time, that only works if you first connect to the cameras via the phone app after a time change (either wrong change or correct change). When Reolink wrongly changes to DST and you connect via the PC app, you just get wrong times. And then when accessing the cameras on the phone the times still appear wrong (this is my understanding)Please note that the UK rules for DST are very simple and haven't changed since 1971. The clocks go back the last Sunday in March and go forward the last Sunday in October. It really isn't difficult!
So here in the UK daylight saving time doesn't start until the last Sunday in March. Only my E1 Outdoor Pro seems to recognise that. Both E1 Pros and the Trackmix have all decided that it is now summertime - a week early. And yet the settings seem the same. Network protocol time, synchronise, etc Al my other smart devices get it right - eg Hue, Samsung Smarthings, the smart central heating etc but it always seems to be Reolink cameras that I have the problem with
@joseph_1979 I feel I should add that the problem is very intermittent. Many days can pass without any issues but then the problem re-occurs frequently over the following days and then back to normal again. Intermittent problems like this are obviously very difficult to solve
@joseph_1979 I only have access to one smartphone. I have Reolink on the phone, table and win11 PC
@mlodge87_607028518432873 I frequently have a similar problem. I have a matrix Wi-Fi system (BT Whole house). Whilst watching TV I will often have the Reolink's Wi-Fi cameras on display on my Android Samsung Galaxy Tablet. But then one or two cameras will drop. After about an hour they will usually reconnect. But sitting in the same position, typically I can call the reluctant cameras up on my Samsung smart phone. On other occasions I try and call up a camera on my phone and it will not connect. I turn off Wi-Fi on the phone and the camera then displays via 5gI find all this very irritating. But it always seems to work OK on my Win 11 PC which is connected via ethernet
I suspect this camera has an inbuilt reboot schedule for the early hours of a Sunday. Because afterwards it is always significantly out of focus. Typically around 119 when it needs to be 132 on the PC app manual refocus So I have to manually adjust the focus on the appBecause of its location, I have the camera on maximum zoom
Very strong angry words against Reolink. I can understand the frustration. The problem with the previous version was that it thought my tablet was a foldable device which it isn't and it was pretty poor. I am hoping that this current release is a first attempt to resolve that problem and it will be followed up hopefully with a better layout. I agree the layout looks bad
@big_ted I am running Win 11 and sometimes Reolink works but quite often it doesn't. My two oldest cameras always work on this client but the Trackmix WiFi and E1 Outdoor often don't. They are all shown as Connected but not necessarily show any picture. The wifi for all cameras are good and all show up on my phone. So I get either two cameras viewable or four cameras viewable. I can run Reolink and find everything working fine then close it and a few minutes later reload it and two of the cameras are no longer viewable. The Trackmix has 2 channels and if one not showing then the other also not available (although it says connected)
Reolink on my Samsung Galaxy Tablet S6 lite is stuck on horizontal viewing for live view and playback and rotating the tablet to vertical position does not rotate the picture. There is a green playback button but there are no options on the screen to choose the playback scene. It simply playbacks the last recording for that camera. Rebooting the tablet does not correct the problem. Other apps work normally. However the app 4.41 does run correctly on my Samsung phone S21 FE but my preference is to playback recordings on the larger screenPlease adviseTom
@joseph_1979 Thank you but I have Windows 11 installed which will have the latest version of DirectX so there should be no need for me to install anything else
@reolink-lorenz I can confirm that the PTZ button is visible with the beta version. No actual video though
An earlier update to the Windows client prevented camera E1 Zoom from being shown. Now the latest version 8.12 has dropped E1 Outdoor. I have the latest version of Windows 11 installed. I am dreading the next release which could see me loose my other two cameras from the Windows app. Everything works on the Android app so please don't update that!
I have 4 cameras - 2 x E1 Pro, and E1 Zoom and an E1 Outdoor. All are the wi-fi versionsWith the latest release I cannot show all 4 cameras on the same screen. The E1 Outdoor is not shown. It says "connected" but no picture. I can show the camera output if it is the only one to display
@jim_347899965276291 I am running Windows 11. Reolink tells me a new version available - I choose update. But I have to do that everyday I run the client app. If I choose Cancel, Reolink will not run. So I have to update everytime
@reolink-fiona Thanks but on my PC client V7.2.2.33 I cannot see under settings a System option. But surely I should never need to set the time. I don't need to set the time on any other network connected devices
I seem to remember that there was a problem with this in October last year. This week two of my Reolink cameras have switched to daylight saving a week early here in the UK. Tom
@reolink-fiona Further to my post, i have now succeeded in connecting to WiFi. I first connected to my network by Ethernet cable. The device then appeared on my tablet as Uninitialised. I then gave a password and subsequently it invited me to add the WiFi password. I then pressed Save, and disconnected the Ethernet cable and the camera connected by WiFi. This seems a far better way to set up this type of camera. Perhaps you should add it too the set-up leaflet
@reolink-fiona Thank you for your suggestion which I have now tried a couple of times. However having scanned the QR code on my tablet, after message "Connecting your device..." after a delay I get the Connection Failed message with option to retry or cancel. I have also repeated this a few times on my smartphone - same result
I have 4 Reolink cameras one of which (410W) had failed. Transformer OK but camera dead. Decided to order a new RLC-410W from the Reolink store as replacement (Order #2017640)But irrespective of how many times I scan the QR code by either my phone or tablet, the result is always the same - connection failed. For a further test, I connected the camera by Ethernet cable. The camera output can now be viewed on all devices. On the PC, under WiFi settings, I can enter my WiFi password and press Test. The test results produce a Success message. The camera is now listed on my routers list of WiFi devices but with a Null IP addressWhen I unplug the Ethernet cable, the output can no longer be viewed on any device. Efforts to connect to WiFi continue to fail. Can you please explain how I can connect this camera to WiFi or should I return the product for a refundTom
Thanks Cynthia. However, Google drive said the file was too big to check for security issues and my tablet settings currently don't allow for installing applications from that source. With an abundance of caution I will instead wait for the weekend when presumably the time setting will be in line with the end of DST. Presumably you will be updating the app to correct the DST problem along with the ability to re-sychronise the clocks
