I am having no luck at all with getting "Client" to work with my NVR.
1 year old system. POE, Ethernet cable from NVR to my router. If I disconnect the ethernet cable I get a warning on screen that there is no connection - so I assume the NVR is actually connected. I install Client on my PC and it never connects to the NVR. I have deleted and re-installed, entered the NVR UID when asked by Client and keep getting ERROR.
I have updates available but cannot install because of no connection from Client to NVR.
I'm at witts end and there was never a lot of witts to begin with.
      NVR is N3MB01.
Any help will be really appreciated.

@zalmaflash_316143213592812 You can try to upgrade your NVR with the latest firmware. You can download the firmware v3.0.0.159_21122405 below.
          For RLN8-410 with hardware version N3MB01: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KFOOcHHMen1oDJJM0i9WD-VNwcnJjMYD/view?usp=sharing

@reolink-fiona Thank you for the reply. If I ever get "client" to work on my PC I will do the upgrade to the NVR.

Also the instructions for client do not seem to be downloadable.
I'm doing something wrong and do not know what.

When the NVR is connected to your home network, there should be an entry in the network management showing the IP address that was assigned to the NVR.
(I typically use a router feature to "permanently assign" an IP to things like printers, file servers, NVRs, etc. so that they will always have the same IP every time the router restarts or power is restored after an outage.)

I would try putting the IP address into the Client program to search for the NVR.

DDNS is a method used to connect from the Internet into a local network and is set up on the customer's router. It should not be required when the client software is installed on a computer on the same network as the NVR.

@zalmaflash_316143213592812 i TRIED THAT AND IT CAME BACK "NO DEVICE FOUND". Then I also tried the UID of the NVR in lower case. Didn't work either.
Now, I do have a home network that is just for my computers. But I don't think it has a name. Can you tell that I am confused?

What type of computer is the Reolink Client running on?
Can you open a command window and 'ping' the NVR by its IP address?

@zalmaflash_316143213592812 Couldn't edit to add the os is windows 10. I also have an HP with windows 10 and have the same problem. I do not know how to "ping" something. Both of my comps are wireless connected to my router. The NVR is hooked direct to the router with a cat6 patch cable.
