      Hi all,

Reolink PoE switch is ready, and best fits your Reolink ecosystem.

Links to the Reolink PoE Switch :
      AMZ US: https://amzn.to/3HJQZqD
      Official website US: https://bit.ly/41fc9Ut

      What is good:

      • 8 PoE+ Ports: 8 PoE+ ports (10/100Mbps)

      • 2 Gigabit Ethernet Uplink Ports (10/100/1000Mbps)

      • 30W Per PoE Port: Compliant with IEEE802.3af/at standard and has a total power budget of 120W for at most 8 PoE devices.

      • Power Management: when the total allocated power exceeds the power budget (120W), the PoE ports will be powered off one by one starting from Port 8 until the total power is below the threshold that the PoE switch is capable of supplying.

      • Auto Detection of Adaptive Devices: automatically detect whether the device connected to its ports is a PoE device and whether it needs to be powered.

          120W provided power is impressive.
In the wild you will find only 60W for small switches.

But why you provide only 100Mbit on this ports?
1GB/s ist state of the art.
I know that is sufficent for the cams but so you are a little bit restricted.

          Regards Chris

@christian 100Mbps per cam is way too much. For instance a 12Mp camera utilising H.265 (high definition) needs a bandwidth of around 24Mbps.

What planet are you living on ? It's 10/100/1000/10000 , so if they would have fitted it with a 10mbp port from the stone ages, you would have said "10 mbps is way to slow , now it's only going to let trough half the speed of my 12mp H265 camera" ? Seriously ...

And in reply of the switch, well it's lacking VLAN, for example I use Netgear GS305EPP 120W Plus. works like a charm.

              Regards

                @joseph_1979
You are missing the situation, where other clients have to be connected to the same switch too (constraints), which might have a higher transfer rate...

@burkm_172321696190677 Missing what? For the pupose of cameras it is more than adequate to have 100M for each poe port and 2G as Uplinks.
