Hi, y'all,
Exciting to introduce our new camera CX410 to all of you who like amazing night vision!
We always listen to your voice and attach importance to night vision technology. This year, we created the ColorX series, the next-gen color night vision camera series, to provide full-color night vision even in the darkest night.
CX410 is our first true color night vision camera with an F/1.0 aperture & 1/1.8’’ sensor. With ColorX technology, the camera can capture more lights in dark night
What is ColorX technology:
F1.0 Large Aperture
1/1.8’’ Super Sensor
Powerful ISP Technology
We will introduce how ColorX can realize full-color night vision in the next post! What other do you want to see about this new CX-410? All ears.
BTW, ColorX is on presale now: https://bit.ly/43NGwTM

@reolink-fiona Do you have any details regarding the in focus depth of field for this sensor + Lens + Aperture combination.
I ask because I currently use another Reolink camera mounted quite low down to record nighttime wildlife and the animals can be quite close to the camera.
Hence requesting the nighttime distance from the camera where the subject will be in reasonably good focus. -
@robert-hammond_315369854550200 Hi there, this camera is with 4mm focus.

Very interessting. How much light is needed to get a bright and colorful Image from this camera? Is a open space with starlight from above enough like Tapo claims for its C325WB?

@user_728982352179385_728982352179385 For this type of CMOS sensor, it needs a low light sensitivity of 0.0005lux to produce colour vision.

@joseph_1979
Hi Joseph, thank for your reply. So according to Wikipedia a typical clear night with stars has a illumination of 0.001 lux.
Do i understand you correctly that this should be more than enough light for this camera to produce a bright and colorfull image? -
@user_728982352179385_728982352179385 Have a look at an independent evaluator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtQLgdGmpOQ

@joseph_1979
Hi Joseph, i have see a few videos of the CX410. But all of those images from the camera are from city areas which are heavily lit by artifcial light (homes, street lights, cars, etc.) like in the video from "Life Hackster". I could not find a video from this camera which shows how it performs in pure starlight.
Hence my question: is starlight enough for the camera to produce a usable image? -
@user_728982352179385_728982352179385 Better that you get the answer from Reolink who are the manufacturer of these cams. Send them an email.
