Doorbell Videocall

Hey out there.
About the doorbell. i wish it will make a video call on my phone when someone is using the doorbell.
Can you pls. make that happen. it is not good it is only send a push message.
My old video doorbell make a video call and it was great. but the rest of the doorbell was shit.
i have 11 cams from reolink and thats why i buy a doorbell from reolink. so it was the same system.
but it annoys me that it doesn't make a videocall on my phone when someone is using the doorbell.

@brian-nielsen_442682315796643 We have requested the support team to inform dev team that a lot of customers are asking for the doorbell to do an outbound voip call to the smartphone with possible actions as is being done by other brands. Other than this we need the full profile T support with full duplex audio.

+1 to have the video call feature. The HikVision cameras has this in their app and it's great! You receive a video call, as you receive from WhatsApp / Facetime, etc. You can answer the video call, see and talk to the person at your door.

We will add a distinguishable sound to visitor notifications when someone pushes the doorbell button and this new feature will be released within a month. Speaking of video call, our team is still seeking the best solution. Stay tuned for the updates.

1.) Reolink should have added the Video call from the get go of release of the doorbells.
2.} the call screen when doorbell is pressed haa been a feature that has been asked for for well over 7 months now why is it taken so long????
3.) what was the point in releasing the doorbell to market when it doesn't act like all video doorbells on the market today? all it is, is a video camera with a doorbell attached to it and doesn't perform like the ones on the market today. the reolink so called video doorbells is what you would see from the late 90's early 2000's that does $h|t all and isn't worth what people have paid for.
4.) Reolink just admit you don't know what your doing!
5.) stop selling the video camera with a doorbell attached to it (not a real video doorbell so I cant call it a video doorbell)
6.) refund all existing owners with a FULL refund plus allow them to keep the useless crap.
7.) if and only if and when you come out with a proper video doorbell is when you should start selling a doorbell again.

@reolink-lorenz can you give us an update on when video call functionality is available? We need capabilities similar to Dahua and Hikvision, they both do video calls when you ring the doorbell. Reolink Remote access to the doorbell is useless via only a notification, most people ignore their phone when they hear a notification sound during work etc which is why a video call capability is needed, it also makes the other person on the doorbell side wait longer too hoping for a video call pickup.

I have also bought reolink video doorbell nearly one year ago because I have many cameras from the brand, and still no news about this fonctionality which is basic.

Relink released this video doorbell too early with a very basic features (even worst for Poe to Nvr)

Same push notification for the rest of your cameras as when somebody presses the doorbell this is just terrible

no Alexa integration for Poe to Nvr

coming up 8 months since a firmware upgrade

very poor compared to the rest of their products

@renaud-hx_437082136477858 So far the calling feature is based on push notification. Still awaiting improvements or the Ctual implementation based on VOIP.
