Re: App update
7/23/2024 it has been a couple days since the update, I thought they would have put a NEW update to Fix this, But Nope! as soon a I change the Stream that camera Locks up! the time fizzes, you can't zoom in or out! you have to click to another camera and then you can click back and it's ok.
I whish I could go back to the previse ver.
How about allowing us to have All the Cameras set to clear or Best Res. and I don't have to change it!!!!

@doug_287588879077543 Just use the scroll wheel on the mouse and you can zoom in and out.
You can download a previous version using the following.
https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.16.8_0.exe
https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.15.7.exe
https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.15.6.exe
https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.14.2.exe
When using the Windows client from an external network, the stream always default to FLUENT when you open any camera live view. This is because they are using 3rd party service (Azure/AWS) to forward the media from the camera to the client. The bandwidth is not infinite.
Note that we have requested support several times to leave the stream setting as set by the user even when using the client on an external network. You may email support on support @ reolink . com and endorse your request. -
@doug_287588879077543 thanks you for that information life saver !!!!!!!

Just updated my Windows 7 Client to 8.16.8.
This version cannot display video from any camera. Watermarks are gone. Every camera window is blank.
The Client log file (p2pc_mem.txt) has the same fail entry for each camera:
Q fail:r=-3,h=0,c=0.5.11.16 'h' is the camera number. What do the 'r' and 'c' numbers indicate?
Have to go back to a previous version

@cl3375_429632933294267 I guess you have audio but no video. You may need to install the DirectX redist. Which previous version you were running?

Every time Reoilink releases a new Windows client version or Android app, I personally always find problems and malfunctions. All this is unacceptable especially when these programs are designed for video surveillance and therefore should be properly tested before being released!. I suggest that Reolink include a function for exporting the configuration file, in order to facilitate the reinstallation of the program in case of malfunction by installing a previous version of the app or client without going crazy or wasting time especially when there are several cameras to configure . I tried, but Reolink never reads or listens to users. Reolink just sells.

@mamymam2013_465350299701478 Well, I upgraded from v8.15.7 to v8.16.8 and didn't get any issue.

@mamymam2013_465350299701478 You have valid points, I'm also quite disappointed with the software updates and firmwares.
However, for the first time since long, this windows app update works very well. The video's are now correctly decoded with the GPU in my case, but I guess you just need to get lucky if you're running reolink software.

After updating Window client to v8.16.8 I am getting a lot of flickering in clear when playing back a video, my TrackMixWifi. I do not see it if I download the videos, play it in the fluent mode or view it on my phone. It looks like it jumps between live mode and playback mode. It does work correctly once in a while. I have gone back to version 8.25.7 and don’t have any problems.
PC: Windows 11 Home Version 23H2
Reolink client software: V8.16.8
TrackMixWifi Camera:
Build: 23100001
Hardware no: IPC-529SD78MP
Fireware: v3.0.0.2769-23100901 -
Appears to be another version now out which may fix: https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.17.5_0.exe

@big_ted This may apparently be a beta version since they haven't yet announced it. That's the folder where they store the clients. You can find all previous clients. I would rather wait to see what has been added, deleted and improved.
