So the description says it works with some third-party apps. Does that mean that it has ONVIF support? That wasn’t explicit in the product details that I read through.

@ph13 Yes, it supports ONVIF. So it can work with the third-party software.

Do you have the dimensions and mounting specification for the doorbell? I am planning where to mount the doorbell while finishing some renovations and it would be good to know the location of the power / poe connector and mounting bracket.

Can multiple doorbells (for example, one POE and one WIFI) and three chimes work together? For example, press on either doorbell and all chimes will ring? Thanks.

@ckam_ca_242158725816541 Yes, they can work together. And one doorbell can work with up to five chimes. One chime can work with up to 5 doorbells. If you press the doorbell, all the chimes will ring.

@reolink-fiona Prefect! Only problem is, I have been waiting, waiting and waiting...

@reolink-fiona I have noticed some updates on the shop page. Can you tell me the length of the power adapter and extension cable (overall run length) that is supplied "in the box"? Also are other extension able to be purchased when available? Thanks:-)

Any news on the release date? If it's not coming out this mom and instead coming out nearer to the end of the year, I'd rather know that than having the date be pushed back constantly.
-
I saw the doorbell already prepared on the shop site, but not purchaseable yet. Convenient price if it stays like this
Guess there are only a couple of weeks left til final sales release.
And then please take my money ASAP!!!!! -
$6 price increase since yesterday on the POE version to $145.99. Can't recall the wifi price yesterday but up to $159.99 now.
Disappointing, but they must be close to launching sales.Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

Yes! We are preparing for the presale soon.
Before the launch, everything on the page may change based on the real situation. The price change is caused by the exchange rate, logistics cost, etc. So it may change a little. Thank you for your support and we will make the price more stable! -
@user_595035309715496_595035309715496 my price stayed the same. So it may just be your region

I am waiting for the doorbell but now I cannot decide which version to get. I can be setup for the WIFI or the POE. So maybe someone can help me or which way would you go? The pros of the WIFI is that it has rich notifications but the con is its WIFI. The POE pros or that its hardwired and good connection but the con is that it doesn't have rich notifications. My router is close so having a connection issue shouldn't be a problem. Is it worth spending the extra money for WIFI or not? I'm not sure how I would like the notifications as well. If someday soon, all cameras will do rich notifications, i would go POE. I have an E1 Pro inside on WIFI and it seems to do well. If I go WIFI, should I put the doorbell and E1 Pro on the 5Ghz? I do not do any other WIFI streaming. I have a Nighthawk R7000. Any thoughts? I cannot decide now. Maybe someone can help me!

Hi Mark, I am in the same situation as you, have a POE port ready for the doorbell, however the wife really likes Google Home and wanted the doorbell to function on our Nest Hub, so I have no choice but the Wifi version. Also the rich notifications was something that intrigued me and I'd rather have a sure thing then waiting for it to come on the POE version. - 8 days later
-
@viet-fob_543326224933058 So I have been mislead. The rich notifications are only for cloud customers and you have to pay for it. Before the website said rich notifications would be for the wifi version only, but now it says for cloud customers only. I dont want to pay just for one notification. Knowing this, i probably would have purchased the POE version.
-
Hi @Reolink-Fiona is it possible to have 2 way audio on the Google nest hub like the nest doorbell works? So I can use the nest hub as intercom?
Is that possible with both the Poe and wifi version?Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@r-reolink_484846949159092 Now it can only live view, but we will develop more functions.
-
@reolink-fiona sounds like it's on the roadmap? Hopefully it gets zijn the full Google assistant integration.
-
@reolink-fiona is there a problem with the site? The wifi doorbell is longer available or the page is missing. There is only the Poe option and then there is an option for two doorbells with no chime. Any idea?

Hello Reolink!
Love your stuff, Cant wait for the doorbell!
I have one question.
I understand the wifi version can and will eventually connect to google and alexa, and allow answering on those devices and id imagine also ring out too when pressed.
My question is if i go for the POE version and connect it to my Reolink NVR can it still be used on those services?
Thanks
Dylan
@reolink-fiona -
@Reolink-Fiona can you confirm that the extra chimes not available are for presale jet?
-
Updated on August 23rd:
The doorbell will be available in US/EU for pre-order because of the limited stock. We distribute the doorbell stock according to the subscriber number first. We will try our best to make it available in other countries asap.
For the chime as an extra accessory, considering the limited stock, we have made it into the package with the doorbell first. We will make it available as an extra accessory if there is enough stock.
Thank you so much for your understanding.Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@reolink-fiona How about some extra coupon or coupon code for the Reolink community and loyal customers, also for the doorbell like you did with DUO 2 with 15 off with the coupon code (cmreo5D2) ?
-
@reolink-fiona
ahhhhh that’s why. I’m in Canada.
I’ll patiently wait
-
Disappointed that we're not being offered the privilege for early ordering as a member in this Reolink Community.

@user_602247015034913_602247015034913 There's no way to correctly say how far the signal will work, it depends on each house and how strong the wifi signal is.
-
Hi Will there be a transformer available or is there a transformer to suit the wired Doorbell Camera to avoid plug in power supply as in box? especailly as doorbell will be at the front gate entry. Thanks

@katshep06_548412444582115 Reolink does not sell transformers. The transformer power needed for the doorbell camera is shown in the specs. If you have electricity at your gate you'll need to buy your own transformer, a waterproof junction box for it and maybe conduit to protect the wires. If your gate is close enough to your house to have a strong enough wifi signal then you'll be able to use/hear the plug in ringer that comes with the doorbell camera, otherwise no. If you do not have electricity at your gate, maybe a battery doorbell camera would be better for you, but they are not as reliable as wired ones.

Thank you. 12volt cable to gate (pull through installed by electrician already as release of reolink door bell delayed when entrance was being constructed) Wi Fi is not a problem. Want to utilise cloud storage subscription for storage to add cameras from reolink around property as well. Reolink wired was best option (and no battery available). Avoiding having different brands thus multiple type storage subscriptions. Will look for a third party transformer for the electrician to install (it appears ring have same specs for power supply and have a transformer).
