Hi everyone, now our tech has considered one feature in the webhook. Do you have any ideas or opinions about this?
Q: Does each event type(person/vehicle...) correspond to a URL? Or that multiple event types correspond to one URL, and different event types are distinguished by load information?
If you have any requests, please let us know.Reply QuoteShare4- Share this Post

@reolink-fiona each event type corresponds to a different url. But to make this solution reusable (could be used in different integrations) please add in body of the POST request those informations:
camera-name
uid
event-type
event-time
Is there a chance that those events would be propagated to mqtt?
PS. it is crucial that webhook will be able to call https URL's -
@t-maciek_382830390239374 Thank you. For the MQTT support, I have told the product team about this to have further evaluation.

+1 really, really. Reolinks products are really interesting and I have 3 cameras, the only caveat is that general interoperability is so-and-so.
The new floodlights look awesome, exactly what I need for around the house. But I need to get PIR-detection into HA, control the light from HA and the sirens as well.
Get the openness going. People today require OPEN and LOCAL API's to integrate products with systems of their choice - if you fix this you will sell more! -
Hi everyone, we have updated the API recently. For the webhook, we are still working on it. You can check the API here first, https://community.reolink.com/topic/4196/reolink-camera-api-user-guide_v7-update-in-sept-2022.

@reolink-fiona Any updates on the webhook support?
-
@reolink-fiona Just got the new POE doorbell. When using the NVR there is no way to get rich notifications which are extremely important for a doorbell camera. Webhook support is pretty much a necessity for the doorbell. Any updates?
-
Maybe we can just add MQTT to their "tell us what you want thread" https://community.reolink.com/topic/4308/get-to-know-your-customers-day-tell-us-what-you-want we just need to all upvote it, I already added it as a request

Any news on this? Just got the doorbell and mqtt with picture would be awsome.

+1 - recently bought 2 510a's. Really enjoying them, but holding off replacing my other cameras until the home assistant integration works properly with AI detection.
-
+1 to this!
-
+1 this is a must for Home assistant
-
+1 yes pleaaase!

i have been using reolink AI detection in Home Assistant for 2 years and working good, not perfect but good. I have 2 811a, 4 510a and 4 B500(these only work in HA connected to the NVR) cameras and everything works in HA using a custom integration via HACS. Theres only 1 catch, you can not set them up using the NVR. the NVR only refreshes all at data when the camera in channel 1 detects movement. You need to set the cameras directly to the LAN using POE to them. that way they can be integrated in HA and have all sensors/switches(spotlight/siren/etc) and all commands including the option to zoom in/out. BTW in Home Assistant release 2023.1 they are adding an official integration for HA for Reolink cameras.

Wait, how are you doing this? Doesn't the NVR act as a gateway for its own private net, with no direct access to the cameras? Can it be configured to allow direct connection instead? Can they be configured that way and still record to the NVR?
That seems like it would simplify things, at least until the webhooks and everything get straightened out.

@matthew_635366143033465 Yes, but you have to connect your cameras via external POE switch (or switches), means, you give each of your cameras LAN accesible addresses, and then you connect your POE switch (or switches) to your NVR ports, you can add your cameras to your NVR giving the IP of each camera, the port (9000), user and password. Then you add each camera to home assistant with their directly accesible IP address via the new add-on or the HACS integration........ but that's not a solution at all.
I say switch(es) because i don't think more than 4 cameras per NVR port will be good, the math say its ok, but .....

@Reolink-Fiona Any updates in this topic? Can we expect new firmware ?
-
Hi All! Any updates here?
-
When can we expect web-hooks ?
-
New NVR firmware release (2023/02/09) and there's no trace of webhooks or any kind of solution. Implement an UDP push message, any message, "hello", what ever when any AI camera detects a person, pets or what ever, then we can interrogate the NVR via API, a preliminar solution is that simple.

I'm strongly de-recommending anyone who's interested in buying Reolink cameras and wants to integrate it with third party tools like Home Assistant. Alarms are not propagated and camera are not integrating well.
️ Reolink is not integrating well with Home Assistant! ️ -
I deeply regret the deafening silence on news about the webhook or an update to the API documentation with the new commands found in the latest camera firmwares. Reolink really does not help the developers of third-party solutions for the integration of their cameras.
-
Still no update on this? Cannot be so hard to fix..
-
Any new about the webhook update? I have 6 RLC-810A and at the moment I am not so happy about the firmware updates. Latest is on April 2022 and there's still a lot of false positive in the AI detection, mostly due the shadows during the day. But the most important thing is the lack of the integration with home assistant (webhook). Cheap competitor cameras have this feature and I think if will have a great value added also for reolink.

@jonas_3602 No news, Reolink is not a good chose when it comes to Home-Assistant integration
-
Hey, I'm not getting person/vehicle/pet detection sensors in HA (pic below). Does this issue relate to this discussion?

@watson_455618418065656 Did you confirmed that all AI detection are received by HA?
With the current state of firmware for my camera rlc-820a it does not always happens because of the pull not push model implemented, what sukcs because you can miss important event - like burglar -
@t-maciek_382830390239374 Nar they just cycle between 'off' and 'undetected'. Normal 'motion' detection works perfectly though.
