I have an RLK16-810B8-A. I have a gate that I would like to put a camera to monitor. It's difficult to run an Ethernet cable to it and it has no power either. So I thought that maybe I could put a battery/solar camera out there like the Argus with a solar panel, but my questions is ... if I do that can I add that camera to my NVR? I would like the NVR to record that feed from that camera and have it show up in my list just like all my IP cameras? Is that possible or is the Argus just a stand alone camera? Or is my NVR unable to add a wi-fi camera?

Hi, there. Reolink battery-powered cameras can't be added to Reolink NVR or accessed via any other 3rd-party software. You can only access the battery-powered cameras via Reolink Client and Reolink App.

@reolink-fiona Thanks very much for your reply.
So, just so I'm clear, I can view the live feed from the camera on the client or app (and I suspect the browser interface also?) but the NVR will not be able to record it to the NVR. Have I got that right?
If I want to record the feed from the camera it can only be done with an SD card in the camera itself, correct? -
@reocam_448003255267488 Right! You got what l mean.

@reocam_448003255267488 I think this shall suffice for your requirements. Go for an AI model to distinguish between various objects such as persons, vehicle and pets. And there is the DUO 2 with a field of view of 170 degrees. Just have a look at the website. If there are questions let us know.
Possible to add wifi camera to NVR?
