For information about firmware supporting HTML5, please contact https://reolink.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and provide system information.
13 days left, and I still don't have firmware for my NVR and cameras.pls cut the bullshit that we are still working on release....bla-bla. if you wanted to release it (ever) , you should have done this for now.I'm really disappointed.
Please submit a request to https://reolink.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and provide the system information. Our support team will help you find out the correct firmware.
I made a request to support. They refused me for new firmware for C1 Pro (3816M), motivated that this cameras is old. That's all that you need Know about Reolink. Also they offer compensation 5% for further orders. They really think that i'll buy anythig else from Reolink after this refuse? )))))
Ok, Ok, Ok,You engineers have been working on a solution for Flash going away at the end of... let me see, oh yeah 2020 (you know 13 days from now). From what I've seen in your forums these "unnamed" engineers have been working on this for at least 3 years and still haven't come up with a meaningful solution for most of your cameras. Really!!!??? For most corporations if you cannot come up with a solution in 18 moth (max) you behind the curve. I guess your products are obsolete as you cannot come up with a patch in over 3 years. So, here's my question for you (and maybe you'll actually anser it): I purchased an E1 and an E1 pro camera, how do I get a refund?
May I know why you want to return the camera? Do you meet some problems when you use the products?
Cynthia, I'm not sure why your approach here is to direct those of us with many IPC_3816 cameras to contact support. Is it so you can dismiss us without an audience? They are providing the same answer you are, that there is no plan to support these discontinued cameras which is not what Reolink has been telling us since 2019. You've conveniently discontinued these now 'unsupported' cameras and replaced them with a new model, thereby abandoning support for those of us who have purchased both old and new.Two questions for you. You said above that the problem is hardware and that the IPC_3816 cannot support HTML5. What about the C2 Pro? This is a camera you have discontinued recently. It is a IPC_51516, just as the new HTML5 supported camera revisions are. Do you have HTML5 support for this camera? Surely it can't be a hardware issue, since the hardware revision is the same. Please advise.Secondly, what ever happened to the earlier beta version of the IPC_3816 HTML5 firmware, back in 2019? Those that had it said it worked pretty well. Why was that beta not completed and why are you now claiming the hardware cannot support HTML5?Let me know about the C2 Pro. Since the hardware version is the same, the only reason I can see you not supporting that camera would be if you've made the decision to abandon customers who are using your older equipment (and by older, we're talking 1-2 years). I sincerely hope this isn't your final position on the matter.
For the C2 pro with IPC_51516, we have beta firmware that supports HTML5, but it is not released on our website now. If you need, please contact our support team. They need to contact the R&D team for the beta firmware.
Its now new year, flash is officially dead. And I'm left with bunch of RLC-410 here without an option to use them. Thanks Reolink
mine has hw code of IPC_3816M, so it wont work. I'm really pissed of, as I bought some of them like 1.5 years ago.
We are very sorry for the customers who use the camera hardware IPC_3816M. We suggest using the camera with the Reolink client or APP. You can contact our support team to see if our support team can provide you with a satisfactory solution. For the other hardware version, please download the latest firmware from here: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/categories/360001053634-Firmware-and-User-Manual-Download
I have several IPC_3816M cameras (RLC-410S) as well. After upgrading my NVR, they won't even work with the NVR (the NVR shows channel loss). It seems the IPC_3816M cams need to be updated as well to work with the NVR, but Reolink doesn't seem to be supporting the IPC_3816M cams?
We have been using our cameras with the promise that fix was coming because your "engineers were looking at it." At this point to say "sorry" and suggest that someone use the client or app is inexcusable.
Cynthia,If you haven't figured it out by now, it's because you cannot fix the problem of flash. I purchased these cameras because I work in my basement (for reasons that do not need to be explained here) and wanted these to keep an eye on the outside of my home while I work. The flash issue is a problem because I work for long hours on a work computer where I am not allowed to install your client. Hence, I was expecting that you would have solved the flash problem by now. Which, I guess, was too much to expect after 3+ years of your engineers working on the problem. I no longer have flash on my work computer and therefore cannot utilize these cameras for security viewing. In other words, they are now dead cameras.Soo, how do I return them...
Where is the new Firmware for the c2 Pro and the E1 (not Pro or Zoom)???
We do not have firmware for IPC_3816M cams currently. If you have a technical issue, could you please contact our support team at support@reolink.com?
@Andy, please send us a screenshot to show the system information of the cameras, then we can find th proper firmware for you.
It doesn't look like you intend on providing updated firmware for IPC_3816M cameras stating they are 'old' This issue with flash isn't something that happened over night. This was planned for YEARS to be desupported yet you took the stance of waiting till the last minute to update cameras and to leave 'working' camera models broken. You deployed the IPC_3816M for example KNOWING it had a short shelf life due to flash yet now you are unwilling to fix it. I've begun modifying all my reviews on amazon for all the cameras I've purchased over the years. I encourage others to do so as well. Telling your customers they need to replace the cameras because you implemented a DIVEST technology when they were built is unacceptable and a PURE money grab.
Adobe announced the upcoming end of Flash support in July of 2017. Reolink waited 3.5 years to start rolling out HTML5 firmware and did not make any exceptions regarding not to be updated IPC_3816M models until December 3, 2020. All along customers were lead to believe that an update for this older hardware was forthcoming. This was very poorly handled on Reolink's part and left many dissatisfied customers.
Sorry for causing you dissatisfaction. We understand that it is an unhappy experience. Could you please contact our support at support@ reolink.com? We will see if they have a better solution for your issues.
