@tomsreolink Exactly! For example, why was the N3MB01 hardware version even available to be bought on Amazon when the N7MB01 version existed or was about to be released? Why wasn't there a note on the product page warning that the N3MB01 version was not the latest version? Unacceptable.
What is the most recent hardware version of the RLN8-410? Is it the N7MB01? I want to make sure I don't again buy an outdated version from Amazon.
My RLN8-410 (bought in August 2022) crashed for no apparent reason. Any recommendations on how to fix, or should I just return it to Amazon? First, the NVR stopped sending video signal to any monitor--I used different monitors and different HDMI cables to trouble shoot. Thinking it was the firmware, I updated the firmware. Now there's also no connection to the client or app.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Thanks I'll look into the donolomo bracket. But basically Reolink's response is "We don't make a necessary accessory for our own camera, so you're on your own. Look somewhere else or be MacGyver with an aluminum sheet." That wasn't on my bingo card for 2023 and is absolutely not a good look for Reolink.
@Reolink-Fiona any update on my question from 3 months ago? Any plans for a corner bracket for the Trackmix?
@md I bought a corner bracket for the Trackmix and the bracket is so big that it completely defeats the purpose of the Trackmix's small size. Would be great if Reolink made accessories to support its own cameras so customers can avoid taking risks with other manufacturers' accessories.
@Reolink-Fiona In the client's settings I have "Automatic Client Update" selected on two computers, but the client never updates. Based on your post, it has been 5 days since Client v8.8.4 has been available and v8.7.1 is still running on one of my computers, and v.8.8.2 is running on another computer. What's the point of the "Automatic Client Update" setting if it never works? But it gets worse. In both v8.7.1 and v.8.8.2, when I click on "Upgrade", I still get an erroneous message that says I'm running the latest version. This problem should have been fixed by now, as it is extremely bad UX (user experience)--especially since it's giving a false message. What's the point of the Upgrade button if it never works? Were these problems fixed in v8.8.4?
@Reolink-Fiona In the client (at least for MacOS), the "Check Updates" feature doesn't work. I have 8.7.1 installed, but the Check Updates feature says "This is the most current version available." Clearly not the case if 8.8.2 is available.
@reolink-fiona Yes I see the Trackmix POE on Amazon now. Thanks.
There seems to be some problem with the RLC-842A or its interface with the NVR. I had the same problem with my RLC-842A when I installed it, although I had tested it before installation, non-stop for at least a week by connecting it to the NVR. Installed it, and there was no connection/connection lights. Then it randomly started working again.
@reolink-fiona Any update on Reolink selling a corner bracket?
@reolink-fiona Hi Fiona, any update on Trackmix availability on Amazon?
@pierre-gielen_288801745879289 @fiona_270938327945410 There seems to be a flaw or quality control problem with some of the RLC-822As as we need to do this to fix the blurriness.
@user_602266887921788_602266887921788 +1I provided exactly this feedback via e-mail. The package options are too limited and inflexible. Ironically, the packages doesn't allow customers to take advantage of Reolink's diverse assortment of cameras.
@Reolink-Fiona As of Sept 3, the Google Play Store still has only 4.31.0.4.Edit: I'm in the U.S.
@reolink-fiona Since the Auto Upgrade feature isn't active/available, a much different message needs to be on the system, as "This is the most current version available" is currently misleading and very bad UX/UI. And the Auto Upgrade feature shouldn't even be selectable--also very bad UX/UI.
@bearhug I have an 822A installed about a foot above a light (the light isn't extremely bright) that has no effect on the camera. In fact, that light and another on the other side end of that side of the house are not bright enough to trigger the 822 to turn off its IR. And I think if the light was any brighter, it would just trigger night color.I also have an 842A immediately below a pair of bright flood lights that provide color night footage to the 842.So depending on the brightness/wattage of your light, it might not be an issue. If you can change the bulbs in that light fixture, you can always swap in a bulb with a lower wattage if the current bulb interferes with the camera.
@reolink-fiona OK thanks.
When should we expect the Trackmix camera to be available on Amazon?
@Reolink-Fiona In the NVR's Maintenance settings, Auto Update is turned on, and when I click on "Check for Latest Version", it says "This is the most current version available". If Auto Update and Check for Latest Version don't work, what's the purpose of these features? Is this a future capability?
