@marius_ss_846431955587247 Here is a Reddit thread on the topic that may or may not help...https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/comments/1en3t2v/ftp_recording_doesnt_work_450_unknown_error/
@user_924771673063632_924771673063632 open a support ticket and reference the specific firmware you are looking for and they will supply a download link. Think of this as patched firmware and not a global release. This is not uncommon in the software industry.
@gene-vigelis_483550958342399 you can sort on the iOS app. No option like this on the Android? Here you can hold and drag to rearrange.
@cancs We need more info...1) Model of the NVR and cameras?2) How are the cameras connected to the NVR?3) Where are you seeing 2 IP's? Are the addresses 172.16.25.x?4) Is the NVR plugged directly into your router?5) Did you assign the DVR an IP address that's on the same subnet as your router and laptop?6) What is your NVR address?
@user_628934015619111_628934015619111 If I am not mistaken, grab C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\reolink\
@john-williams_475020431753444 I am running client 8.17.6 on Windows 11 24H2 21600.3476 without issue. One thing you can try is to temporarily disable the Windows 11 firewall and any 3rd party anti-virus/malware software to see if that is blocking the client. Since the Reolink client is P2P software, it could be getting blocked.
@mmacsuga_921991513252006 see above. Hope it helps.
@user_826396035408031_826396035408031 these cameras loose tracking sensitivity as the object moves farther from the center of the screen. Try increasing the movement detection sensitivity. Also keep in mind that an object can easily outrun the tracking if they are walking/moving too fast.
@jemccr_277079163437207 are your cameras setup as standalone with the app or did you set them up using the DVR? You have to set them up using the DVR. Also make sure that you have the DVR connected toy our switch via the DVR's LAN port.
@davideotto with regard to your #2 above. It does indeed support those detections. Must be an advertising oversight. As for #3, yeah I think the smart playback replaces playback. And I can tell you from experience, smart playback does not work more than it works.
@reolink-oskar soooooooo, camera name change because not a mailbox cam any longer?
@user_600965065629823_600965065629823 Wi-Fi signal could have dropped due to environmental interference. Are you using 5GHz? Switch to 2.4GHz. I have mine on 2.4 and speeds are stable. NOTE: Be advised that with mine when I switched to 2.4, I had to factory reset and reconfigure.
@chet_587162280353916 there has been debated discussion if connecting permanently to the USB-C will provide adequate power. The camera will still pull power from the battery, not the house power. House power will feed the battery, the battery will feed the camera. If you live in a cold climate, the battery will not charge resulting in the same issue you are facing with the solar panel. 3W panels are known not to provide adequate power if you have many daily event triggers. A 6W panel will perform better. This also assumes that you have the panel facing in the correct direction, obtaining 4-6 hours of direct sunlight per day.I am in SE Michigan. In the winter my Argus PT does not charge due to below 40F temps. About every 3-4 weeks I have to pull the camera down and bring it indoors to charge. This is going to be normal for any solar charged battery camera.
@eduram_186899155153142 as previous suggestions, attempt to reset the camera once again. If that does not resolve the issue, record a video of the behavior and submit to to Reolink Support https://support.reolink.com/requests/
@mannyf_917625001046227 agreed. The lack of a simple click to paint is frustrating. The click-and-drag is not always feasible. As with all of these systems, they have their pros and cons. You just have to determine if Reolink has the features that are most important to you. I have plenty of friends with other brands and they each have their own challenges. Give it a chance.
@joseph_1979 it's a shame because I would have really preferred dome cameras for my application.
@joseph_1979 I had a 2V but found the VFOV too small so I switched to the standard Duo 2. Actually has both a 3V and 2V at first, but both of them got replaced with standard Duo 2.
@reolink_332252861841648 it does not appear to be a crack---too symmetrical. Likely just a cosmetic from the casting mold. It's a service access panel. I removed the screws from one of my cameras (RLC-1240A) and had to pry the plate off as it was also attached with adhesive. There is no reason to attempt removal yourself.
@user_865954023559356_865954023559356 sensitivity as @joseph_1979 mentioned, and I will add object size. The pains taking part is finding the right balance of the two for any given type of detection. And you will find that on some cases, you have to compromise on one detection to better tune another. Yes, light reflection will give false positives. My driveway cam will sometimes process a the headlight reflection of a car going by as a person or animal. When we have snow/rain, the same camera will re-detect our cars in the driveway with a vehicle alert. You will find this with all camera brands at this price level. My recommendation is that you start with sensitivity to find a setting that works with each detection type you want. Do not worry about it actually detecting the object type just yet, you simply want it to detect movement. This will be indicated by the circles icon during detection. Once you get the right amount of detections, you can fine tune the object size (if necessary) so that the camera correctly identifies the object type.
@sams-sealcoat-and-striping-llc_757408999772347 do they reconnect when you click on them? If so, that is normal for solar batter cameras as they go into a standby mode when there is no activity. As for solar power performance, the panels should face the direction of the sun (might be south, might not be based on where you live). Are you using 3W or 6W panels? 3W panels won't keep your cameras fully charged if you have a lot of activity. Also temperature is a factor... these cameras will not charge when it is cold out. Mine stops charging around 35F or colder. This is not a Reolink issue, rather batteries in general.
