Hi,I have several cameras that look at a scene from different angles. Now I noticed that when an alarm was triggered by one camera, whether person or vehicle, it not necessarily triggered the alarm also on the other camera, maybe because of sensitivity settings, distance, object size, whatever...Personally I would find it very useful if you could link some cameras together, so if one registers an alarm it can tell the other camera to record also. Two viewing angles = better identification of intruder or whatever. That should not be a big issue in the same network, as the app for example can register cameras in the same network, so cameras could surely do the same. Or give the opportunity to put in specific IP adresses of linked cameras.Or maybe some kind of "broadcast" the camera sends to the local network and other devices can react. This maybe would also be helpful for an app notification on e.g. mobile phones if you use your cameras only within a local network or with VPN.So that's my wishlist
@reolink-fiona Most important question: same crappy gears inside like 5MP E1 or can this one manage to keep a guardpoint?
Hello,in my country there are quite strict legal regulations about video surveillance. One is that it is not allowed to store data for longer than a certain period. Common jurisdiction states for example 72 hours. So that would mean, for a totally legal usage of the cameras, you would have to check for and delete data everyday that is older than 3 days.I would therefore like to see an optional function, that deletes those footage after a specific, editable period (preferrably in hours). So you can decide whether to
Thanks for reading.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Well whats the little Siren Symbol then? The third one in scene mode?First is Push, second Record, third siren, 4th email?https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026049414-How-to-Set-the-Scene-Mode-for-Your-CamerasJust curious without having checked by myself, because intuitively it means for me disable/enable siren...
@reolink-fiona Doorbell, definitely, this is the next thing I personally need in the very near future. Motion tagging is surely helpful to understand in uncertain situations WHAT actually triggered the alarm. But this feature should be ON/OFF-able I think, if everything is clear than I don't really need a frame or whatever around the person in the picture.12MP Bullet with two-way and big FOV sounds also interesting, especially for long driveways or corridors...You know what... just send me everything for betatesting
Furthermore:
So far some input from my side too...
@wleibrook_480642943336579 For example if you have a sidewalk in your far view and want to exclude all people there, so you set the minimum size box accordingly so only people that for example come up your driveway trigger the alarm. Those are naturally "bigger" than the people on the distant sidewalk.
OK guys, speed up! Whole wiring is already in place, just waiting to hit the "purchase" button Current doorbell malfunctioned again today, so it is really getting a hot topic here .
I don't know whats going on here, there are already more spam topics than ones concerning Reolink. Are there still any admins on this forum? I have the feeling since a couple of month that the users are pretty left alone, except for Joseph who tries to support as a customer himself.@ReolinkShayla or whoever is probably active yet: it's pretty weak for a tech compandy to not being able to get rid of such obvious spam. Please be more active and show some presence, so the users also do not feel left alone. Thanks for listeing.
@user_63_633151097208875 Well it's not that surprising as it is a cloud doorbell. This means quite simply said the doorbell connects to a cloud server where the IP is stored. Then you connect to the cloud server with your phone and request the IP of YOUR doorbell, so a connection can be established. I am not a network technician though. If you don't want it to work outside of your lan you have to restrict internet access for the doorbell on your router for example.
Veeeeeery nice . A small chance to get it even earlier. So application form sent
@joseph_1979 Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your effort and acknowledge you can't be online all day It isn't your job to do so. I would only like to see more activity from "official" side. In the past, there was more interaction with Reolink employees (at least I guess that's what they were), they participated more. Nowadays only some news are posted, but not much interaction with the customers. Currently it is pretty useless being here and searching your way through pharmacy ads.
Hi,I currently experienced that high stream viewing was stuck on Android app. It either didn't load or if it loaded after switching back on forth on cameras, it definitely was not high stream with around 400 kbps instead of the usual 6000 and more. This occurred both on live view and playback, and also on Wifi and cellular.PC app worked fine.I first deleted all the data of the app so I had to add all cameras again, but it didn't work.I contaced support and they were eager to help but so far to no avail, more of some general checks in the app.Ultimately, after calling for same experineces here in this community, I decided to delete the whole app instead of just deleting data, cache etc... and this seemed to have solved the problem. So I convert this topic to a FAQ So in case you experience the same issue, give it a try. Unfortunately you have to re-add all cameras...An import/export function of the settings and cameras in the app would be fine by the way Thank you!
@reolink-fiona Sorry did not get a notification about your answer, but thank you very much for your feedback!
@reolink-fiona That is all very nice that you ask for opinion, but you forgot the most important opinion of the users: bring back the stretch view! At least an option to toggle it on or off. Why was that abandoned anyway?
@user_679856370167979_679856370167979 same issue here. Have you tried setting the new threshold level under display settings? I'm curious if it works for you. It made no difference for me unfortunately
Hi,So I finally received my doorbell and it is good so far except a few needed tweaks But my biggest question is: when will be the chime available separately and at approximately which price as I need at least another one for better coverage. Thanks for quick reply
@seb_526812765704330 because they are not available yet.
@canterbury_444229323972785 you know that POE stands for "power over Ethernet"? Meaning the power for your doorbell will be transmitted via LAN cable. Your TP-Link switch definitely does not have POE, nor will your standard router have. My guess based on your info is that you simply do not have powered your doorbell yet. What you need is to power the doorbell either with wires for auxiliary power supply, a POE switch or a POE injector.
