@md Thanks md, Yes I have the most recent version, which makes me think it may be a NVR Issue as I have also tested the web version using the IP address of my NVR.
@md Hi is this the screen your on? Just wondering if it's an NVR issue.
HI I have upgraded the firmware on my RLC-823A to version V3.1.0.1584_22120968_V1.0.0.30 and rebooted my NVR.I have also updated the Android app and also the direct web app and windows app. There are no options for Horizontal Range showing.Am I missing some thing? as I cannot find it, thank you.
@reolink-fiona brilliant can't wait to test the new functionality on the RLC-823A . Thanks to the team for implementation of many of the suggestions put forward previously.
@user_626464031416438_626464031416438 What make and Model is your NVR?
@alanphillips40_523450861056162 Apologies Alan, I did not notice your reply until it was bumped up today. As I'm in the UK, these are the new ones I'm currently using and are fantastic. Search Ebay for "130 meter infra-red Nightvision iluminator, use with CCTV cameras, PSU optional"If your in the US I have attached an images of the types I am using.
@madasapala_468289809531009 My RLN8-410-E Started doing exactly the same thing about 3 months ago, I ended up swapping the HDD, but 2 weeks later it started all over again. I had updated the firmware, I was getting jerky play back, not seeing HDD and telling me to format it. Eventually last month it stopped seeing the HDD all together.I contacted Reolink on Amazon where I purchased it, they replied the same day sent me out a brand new unit next day delivery, Reolink also refunded the postage for the unit straight away. The new unit is a big improvement.
@jasdjensen_307202154205435 I feel your pain, I ended up replacing my old NVR just out of warranty with the new model. just so i could use all the features of the new cameras like spotlight/tracking/two way audio. They look identical from the outside its only when you open the thing up that you find the system boards have been changed.Although when I had an issue with my new one a few weeks ago, I contacted Reolink via amazon (They get issues sorted in no time if you purchase via amazon) and accidentally selected my old box they did offer to replace my old one which was out of warranty for a new one for being a good customer. How ever I informed them I selected the wrong purchase and they sent me a new replacement the very next day for the new one.
Add-on sensors, for Reolink camera / doorbell /Floodlights.I currently have and still use a very very old system of remote PIR sensors and standalone doorbell box/strobe unit (which are no longer produced), I keep in my main window visible to any one coming close to my house. Which I use to back up my Reolink system. The sensors are all hidden outside and in my outbuildings that detect people entering my property via gates/drives, looking in out buildings or entering my vehicles where the CCTV cannot detect them due to being behind walls, bushes, inside sheds or vehicles etc. Which will immediately alert me and the person entering my property or buildings with an alarm and blue strobe light from the main unit, that they have been detected. Which is very effective to prevent people snooping around, putting of potential thief's before they enter the property or just notifying me I have a visitor before they get to my door. Both CCTV and Video doorbells need a clear view, but with remote sensors they can be places any where. As these are old and are not fully weather proof I have them in sealed clear plastic bags and have done for over 8 year (but they still work). The small square batteries last for usually 1.5 - 2 years with a range on these is around 100m and they work flawlessly through thick stone built houses in this country.I have been wanting to replace the system with new drive /path way alarms building alarms, to compliment my CCTV set up but it seems as though only either very expensive or DIY systems systems are available. So having some thing that links up with the Reolink system would be great. If you could develop a number of small stand alone sensors, that can be places outside, that link up to your other products would be prefect. Especially if they can be placed near gates, cover drive entrances and in sheds etc. Where detection via CCTV is not always possible. The ability to install sensors are hidden from view or hard to spot, that notifies people they have been detected especially if they are out of sight of the CCTV cameras is a very effective way of putting of potential intruders. Add-on sensors also have the ability to add extra functionality to cameras such as PTZ cameras alerting them to movement when they are facing a different direction, and providing an invisible barrier to your property.
@david-kane_473527378469048 There used to be this file to download from Reolink not sure if they still have it on the site.
@reolink-fiona Done
HI Reolink I have been testing the V3.1.1.1169_22091308_V.1.0.0.30 on my RLC-823A I have found a few issues with the tacking now which are still causing random issues. Fist of all the cameras now and again will blind themselves with the flood light against the wall when trying to track people with the floodlight. Also occasionally the cameras will track people, but if they are wearing grey it some times does not follow them. Lastly the cameras occasionally will detect a person walking to the left for instance then suddenly pan to the right, completely taking the person out of the shot. Some of these examples I have posted here. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vtbKqBCu3IfpA8pOeEG3uxXDkSmp1zDh?usp=sharing
@big_ted Front I have an IR flood light about 3 meters apart, Rear I have IR flood light around 2 meters apart.
@reolink-fiona Thank you for the beta test, the tracking is very much improved from my perspective. But some thing has seriously gone wrong with the Night Vision on my RLC-823A with this release.I have had to swap between the official version of the firmware and this beta numerous times tonight and the new beta test has various intermittent issues with detecting and showing IR light. I have done factory resets in-between all firmware versions and reset both cameras and NVR.NEW BETA V3.1.0.1137_22072210.v1.0.0.30Image 1. Showing all IR light sources as purple when the floodlight comes on.Image 2. Not detecting IR light at all from either from RLC-823A, IR floodlight and it does not even pick up IR light on my neighbors camera across road or their alley way.PREVIOUS VERSION V3.1.0.850_22032205.v1.0.0.30Image 1: With flood light fine.Image 2: B&W with IR sources fine.
@big_ted I use IR floodlights separately for both my reolink cameras and turn off the cameras IR. There are numerous advantages to this first Its a lot easier to read number plates and less reflections on images. Secondly Spider webs are now no longer an issue, Id honestly say I have a 95% reduction in issues with spiders and webs. It may be down to them attracted to IR or just the camera no longer picks them up at night but a huge difference.
@reolink-fiona Hi Fiona,This is not a video driver issue, I have had this on two pcs with different graphics cards one AMD and one NVIDIA, I have attached a screen shot of the graphics card details on the latest PC I have just done a fresh install of windows 10 pro. This is my gaming PC and it runs Virtual reality head sets also with zero issues. It was only until the latest iteration of the clients I started having the issues. As I said i can replicated the issue, if I go to play back and jump around a little through play back of different scenes.RTX 2060 6GB Graphics card with latest drivers.
Would it be possible to add, short cuts or links to the display screen on the NVR and Client for rotating cameras such as the (RLC-823A) for up to 3 preset points.Often I'm checking the camera and some thing occurs quickly or I need to quickly view a preset point, that is not in the cameras view. By the time I have opened PTZ / Preset points and located the one I want its too late. If we could add 2 or 3 Preset points to the main screen, that would be awesome. This would enable me to point the camera to the right or left etc. if I need to look at some thing urgently rather than messing around to manually try to rotate the camera or try to find preset points through the menus, wasting valuable seconds.
Would it be possible to set a boundary on the auto tracking. Possible set via rotational degrees or something.I have my cameras at the front of the house when it detects a person it will turn to face all the way down the street, and follow my neighbors right up to their front door. It would be very beneficial to set limit to auto tracking to say track up to 150 degrees at the left and 30 degrees to the right, then it stops tracking. My neighbor's a few doors down it tracks them In front of the house then turns all the way round right up to them entering their house at the side and they have complained. It would be good to set a limit how far the tracking can turn when tracking, so I could set it to stop tracking as they enter their front gate and stop following them.
@chuck_529633235447953 Fully agree, I have multiple instances where the camera has detected a person (usually a dog shitting), then as soon as they stop moving it goes straight back to guard position and all the video of them is lost. I have auto return set to zero purely because the tracking is not working great, often it will notice them at the edge of my guard area (say righthand side) and move the camera out of guard area (to the right) and the subject walks back into the guard area (on the left) with out detecting them and its facing the wrong way (still sat at the right hand side).
Im getting the Black screen constantly too, on Win 10 pro. I had the opportunity to do a full install of windows 10 and it still occurs.I can get this to happen 100% of the time when playing back videos .If I'm using play back and jump to different times around 5 times the screen goers black.I have also found since the last update, on my Google pixel phone if i leave the client open for a period of time it crashes after around 15-20 of being left open.
