@reolink-fiona no
@reolink-fiona Hi, It is the RLC-410WS. It had been removed and re-added yesterday.The support guide says it is applicable to all modelsTazzy
So, until now, I have not really needed push notifications.... but things have changed.I have it all set up, and it all works! The only problem is...the most annoying sound going.... and I can't change it.I am running an iPhone 12 on 15.3.1, using Reolink app 4.29.2.1I have googled a million permutations of "iPhone Reolink push notifications", and there appears to be a fair few threads on it, including from Reolink, who suggest going into the app menu>settings>message sound settings..... but the last bit doesn't exist! This guide, which says it applies to all cameras (updated 5 days ago) shows the phone layout.... which mine does not look likehttps://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000624666-How-to-Enable-and-Change-the-Sound-of-Push-on-iOS-PhoneIs there any way to change the notification sound? Notification sounds on my iPhone 12 are app based/changed (except Reolink)This is my version of the layout compared to Reolink's:Thanks Tazzy
@reolink-fiona you seem to have left my name out of the list. Would you like me to resend my details?
@tucker3738_367076416745686 that's what I said
@schonuf Ah gotcha... Never thought of that, but sounds like a useful function, So in a sense, individually controlled detection zones
@brian-r-schober_492005980741811 When you mention detection zones, do you mean - Alarm settings>detection zones in the menu? If you go into that menu, you can draw as you want and it will show as grey (although they are technically - non detection zones)like this below (sorry, had to blur my 'view' out, but it shows the grey I have drawn 'non detections' for
Thanks for the update, some useful features.What would be really useful is if the PZT function 'zoom' and 'focus' had a bar on it, so you know how far you are e.g. zoomed in or out. Initially, I sometimes wonder when using this if I have reached maximum or notSomething like this....Tazzy
The "ReoTrail" or "ReoTrail Cam"
.... a doorbell that chimes
@reolink-fiona not sure if you already have this, but the ability to recognize and read license plate numbers would be great!!!I love my outdoor 5x optical zoom Reolink camera. I get some great videos of deer and wild turkeys in our backyard.
You want to be able to read licence plates on the deer and wild turkeys?
what's happening today then?
Hi, Have a system with single camera RLC-511WA (and previously another WIFI camera) recording FTP 24/7 and permanently connected over WIFI including to an android tablet with client app - using as a monitor. This has been working fine for about a year, no issues, including recordings.All are running latest firmware's, and apps are latest clients etc. Home network set up has not changed....Camera reboots every day at a set time, as setup in the settings.For about the past 2 weeks live view keeps freezing... the client app is on android, but also does the same on my iPad - the image is still there, but freezes after a few hours. I have to close app and restart it or come off live view and go back into it. It starts straight away for a few hours again, and then stops. Both devices (android and iPad) do not lose WIFI connection.It does this about 3-4 times in a 24hr period, including on the auto-reboot of the camera. As stated, this is on android and apple. My windows desktop live view does not freeze.No issues with recordings, even when live view is frozen. Does it on fluent and high res. It never 'unfreezes' when this has happened, I need to intervene. Any thoughts as I have pretty much exhausted things I can try?ThanksTazzy
@reocam_448003255267488 can't answer when this particular one will become a full release, but presumably when Reolink are satisfied that the bugs an updates are working as expected. This is not available for all hardware versions - just IPC_523128M8MP models.I am using this 'beta' on a different camera with no issues Tazzy
@ivan_488740454707352 when you say 16 wires, do you mean cables? Why do you have 16? Can you upload a photo?If it is 16 individual wires (onto 4 plugs) then that could be the issue as PoE will generally need all 8 wires (4 pairs) terminated into the RJ45 plug. Can you confirm....So when you put cable tester on cable in your house, you are putting the remote tester unit on the other end? You need to put the remote unit to test the cables and provide loops etc and check for for cross pairs.I don't know your experience with testing, but if you search on YouTube "how to test ethernet cable" there are some useful guides. Have you tried this with one of the other 3 positions where the cables go to?The other possibility as I mentioned before is that there is another intermediate panel somewhere? It is highly unlikely that both the camera and the tester are going to show nothing for all of the cables. Is it possible that someone has done some DIY and cut through the cables? Major rat issue? rats love chewing cablesquite intriguing..
@reolink-lorenz ok great. Do you have any information available on them yet?
@reolink-lorenz No probably not, but I didn't know if you had been working on this previously. In a previous life I commissioned comms systems, some of which took up to 2 years before being released, so I appreciate things can take time.
@reolink-lorenz I take it this missed the recent v3.1.0.764 update?
I have filled out the questionnaire. There are loads available, but many have poor size capacity for memory cards i.e. max 32gb. In this day and age, I would like to see 256GB upwards as standard....
I think that's quite unfair on Reolink. Failures happen, and it could even have been a poor batch....but again, these things happen.What happens next is the level of customer service you get, and it would appear from your own words (and Reolink's) that there is a solution. The world is experiencing mass delays across all sectors of industry for various reasons. I don't think a 10-15 day wait is unacceptable. I have no affiliation with Reolink. Tazzy
