Are PoE pre-orders still planned to be shipped by October 17th?
Do you have the dimensions and mounting specification for the doorbell? I am planning where to mount the doorbell while finishing some renovations and it would be good to know the location of the power / poe connector and mounting bracket.
@reolink-fiona with other SD cards I have not had this issue. But this one should still be within the specification?
I have a RLC-520a with a 256GB Class10 U3 micros SD card installed. After using this for about a month I have noticed several times the SD card becomes corrupt and must be reformated (see screenshot). I suspect this occurs when the camera is powered off and on. I don't do this, but I also don't know for sure if the camera stays running 24/7 (I know someone else posted requesting a log of the last boot time).Currently I have my camera set to record on detection only. The issue can be resolved by reformatting the SD card in the camera, but this of course loses all the previous data and is frustrating as I never know it's happened until I need to see something that is not longer available. @Reolink, is it know, root cause, fix available? After formatting, everything working normally (until next time it gets corrupted...)
@reolink-lorenz This does not answer my original query. I am observing that the reolink camer microphone level is very low. Even with all volume settings of my device/app/client set to maximum level, I am finding it very difficult to pick up any of the sound around the camera. This is either a fault or s low quality of the camera, and is very disappointing.
@reolink-fiona Thank you for the article. Is it possibe to include some additional tuning like this for general motion detection. Right now I've had to disable motion detection as the false detections are too much. This makes the motion detection feature unusable and redundant.
@tomcrean One additional point, I only see alarm delay for Person and Vehicle detection. My false alarms are for general motion detection.
I purchased the E1 Pro last week having been satisfied with other Reolink cameras in my home setup. I have been disappointed by now with the E1 Pro microphone, the volume picked up by the camera microphone is very low and tinny compared to other similar cameras I have used. I'd this 'normwl' or is my device defective?
My primary use case choosing Reolink cameras is the integration with Google Assistant and display on the Google Nest Hub. This works for me with both my RLC-520A and E1 Pro, but I find the video stream to be inconsistent, often buffering or deactivating after a short time (10 minutes). It's important for my use case to have the camera stream uninterrupted for several hours continuously. Is there any optimisation I could do, for example to change the resolution / frame rate sent to the Google Nest Hub to reduce the bandwidth utilisation? I don't see any settings related to this 'Cloud' stream. What are the options to optimise here?
@reolink-fiona I have a RLC-520A and did upgrade the firmware recently. Is there an instruction for how the alarm delay can help avoid this day/night false detection?
I am still observing this issue daily. Has there ever been any progress by Reolink to eliminate these false detections?
Hi. Are there any plans to list the detection notification events in the app? When I have several detections I often have several notifications on my phone, but going to the app I have no possibility to see the actual time of any other detections. Instead I would need to scroll through detection recordings. This seems like a missing feature of the application compared to other systems.
@reolink-fiona Thank you for looking on it. Please do consider if it's possible to split the 5 minute video to a shorter clip at the alarm detection event.
Some features to suggest if not already considered; - 2-way audio to Reolink app - 2-way audio with Google Assistant / Android platform - 2-way audio and video stream with Google Nest Hub - 2- way audio and video stream with Alexa - bell press notification to Reolink app - bell press noficiation to Google Assistant / routine integration - bell press immediate video stream display on Google Nest Hub - bell press alarm to Google Home audio devices - bell press alarm to Alexa - 3rd party routine link e.g. press bell will trigger Shelly relay to open a gate (option to toggle this setting enable/disable) Looking forward to seeing your next product.
@tjbreen01_498691379241137 Here are some screenshots explaining my difficult with the Timer Recording & Alarm Recording in parallel.Alarm recording, easy to find detection event and time. When a detection event occurs during continuous recording, the Alarm is flagged on a full 5:00 segment. I do not see at what timestamp the detection occured, I will need to watch all 5:00 of the segment. With the clip filter, during continuous recording, still it is shown as the full 5:00 clip.
@reolink-fiona Hi Fiona, yes I know of the detection filter. When I have alarm recording only, this works well. But my question is about continuous recording. During continuous recording, any alarm detection is only part of a 5:00 minute segment. I would prefer to see that the detection even is isolated to a shorter clip.
I've recently purchased the RLC-520a as an upgrade from my Amcrest camera. I've been playing around with the settings to find the right fit for my needs. What I would like to have is the camera recoding continuously (5-minute clips), and for any detection alarm to be segmented into a shorter clip (30-45 seconds). The app filtering of detection events is ideal to work though this, to focus on the actual detection, but also have countinus recorded data available to seek if needed. This could mean storage of a series of clips of e.g. 5:00 | 5:00 | 3:45* | 0:45** | 5:00 | 5:00* Detection occured** Detection clip (15s-pre + 30s-post)If I enable alarm recording only, I do have the shorter detection clips I'm looking for, but obviously missing the continuous recording. This is my best option for now to see exactly what's happened, but not ideal. If I enable timer recording and alarm recording, I do have the clips marked with detection, but the clips are all full 5-minute clips and it is difficult to determine the detection trigger event. I could also have the SD card recording the detection clips, and timer recording going to an FTP, but this is not convenient to access the recording while I'm outside of the home. Does anyone else have a similar need or solution, or is there some operation setting I have missed? Thanks community.
