That's a step-by-step guide! Thank you!

After updating the NVR's Firmware I'm having problems viewing the cameras away from the home network. I also can't view the clear stream on home network but can view fluent and balanced fine on the latest Android app. But on the windows client I can view the clear stream just fine.

@curls You can disable the hardware decoding on your APP first.
Refer to this article to disable it: https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000587506-How-to-Enable-Disable-Hardware-Decoding-on-Reolink-Android-App

When downloading this, it says it's recommended to Reset Configuration, which seems pretty annoying for a minor firmware upgrade (3.1 to 3.2). Is this really necessary. I imagine I will have to reconfigure everything on my NVR if I do this...

@swrobel It is not necessary to reset configuration. But it would be better to check whether the configuration is still normal and effective after the upgrade.
-
@reolink-fiona It would be really nice if the firmware itself could validate settings, and highlight things that might need attention after an update.
-
Thank you for this! My RLN8-410 wouldn't let me configure either of my Duo 2 PoE cameras until I applied this firmware update.

While this firmware did resolve some of my problems, unfortunately now I haven't been able to get push notifications working again at all. Nor does FTP upload appear to do anything aside from create a text file when I click the "test" button. Also, one of my cameras says it is constantly detecting motion even when I have the sensitivity set very low. Rebooting my NVR doesn't resolve any of these issues.

@user_599858181599299_599858181599299 Sorry for the problem. May l know what's your NVR's hardware version?

me too facing the similar issues.

Use the same computer where you saved the firmware file to access the NVR. Using any web browser, type the IP address of the NVR into the web browser address bar. Log in to the NVR with your user credentials. Navigate to Setup > Maintenance > Maintenance > Local Upgrade > Select NVR.
-
Step 1: Download the latest firmware to your PC. Step 2: Extract the digicap. dav file (which is the actual firmware file) from the zipped file you downloaded. Step 6: Scroll to the bottom of the screen you'll see Upgrade Firmware.
