      With a powerful built-in 20,000mAh battery, the Altas PT Ultra features provides uninterrupted performance even during the coldest, darkest months. Thanks to the remarkable battery life, the camera can work up to 500 days in standard Motion Trigger (PlR) Mode.

      Don’t let freezing winter become the hindrance of monitoring your property, check more details here:

          @reolink-oskar I have been testing/evaluating the Argus PT Ultra Motion Tracking version. I am curious, with the negligible price difference between the Altas and the Argus, why did Reolink decide to test motion tracking in the Argus? The Altas seems like an easy upgrade choice if you want motion tracking.

            @chopstix eh... it is not Atlas but Altas. The objectives of this cam are being CX, having a higher battery capacity and able to provide pre event detection recording. I think this is the first on the market to provide this pre recording. WELL DONE.

              @joseph_1979 spelling comprehension is important. Edited! Thanks!

              That is exactly my point. For the price difference, I am wondering why even test/add motion tracking on the Argus PT Ultra. The price/feature difference makes the Altas an easy upgrade choice.

              To that, I think I read somewhere (maybe Redit) that the Altas with continuous record ON (required for pre-detection recording) only has maybe a week of runtime on battery alone. And that the always ON schedule does not allow for a full 24/7. There is a daily limit. I will try to find it.

              Regardless, I think the Altas PT Ultra will be my next purchase.

                @chopstix That means that we are reading what you write :). Joking. Sometimes I text while in a boring meeting which I don't chair and won't check my typing....

                  Reading on the FB group, that the current Solar Panels can not keep up with the unit on full time recording is a question mark for me. if its full time recording and the panel has a long period of sunlight, it can't keep up. I know it's probably outputting more power than taking in... Small part of me hopes they would make a bigger panel for the Altas. However, I wouldn't mind buying a bigger panel for it, if I could get more energy pushed to it.

                    @kimchigun Let make some calculations.

                    20,000mAh is 20 Ah. The battery capacity, volts times amp-hours, is about 3.6 x 20 = 72 Wh. The maximum input power is 5 x 1.2 = 6 W. Assuming a 10% power tolerance from the panel (regulator) the charge time in bright sunlight, continually facing the sun, would be 72/6/0.9 = 13.3 hours. However the charge might taper the charge current towards the end of charge so it would actually be longer than that....say 16 hours. Therefore we need a higher wattage solar panel .... at least a 12W panel which yields to 7 hours of bright sunlight.
