@Reolink-Fiona It would be a good idea to design a camera in the style of E1 outdoor or RLC 823a (rotating) but for the interior of the vehicle.This would be powered by a battery that could be charged to the USB-C of the car and the data could be processed via 4G or 5G when the car is off and via the car's Wi-Fi when it is on.It could also equip a solar panel that could be left on the dashboard to take advantage of and charge the battery when the car is in direct sunlight.The fastening could be by suction cup to any window on the inside of the car or to the panoramic roof.As main specifications I think that about 5mpx would be adequate at about 20fps, but perhaps a reinforcement of the coverage (more powerful antennas) is recommended.It could also be equipped with a motion sensor, so if a hit is detected in the car, the camera proceeds to record what has happened and it could also be used as a sports camera, but there I would bet on 8mpx and 30-60fps. It could be a hybrid surveillance/sports camera.In terms of size, I think it should be a bit smaller than the E1 outdoor.I think this is an excellent idea and I would like this suggestion to be passed on to the appropriate department for feasibility.Thank you very much for your attention.
Hello @Reolink-Fiona I have already contacted the support service, but I would like to report the problem I have had here. On February 12, I updated my E1 Outdoor to version 3.1.0.1584, but two days ago I began to notice that the live broadcast of the camera was not going well. Not only that, this bug must hit something from the other wi-fi camera I have (the E1 zoom). When I was running the 8.10 beta desktop version, both cameras were malfunctioning, to the point where the E1 zoom would broadcast on the screen where the E1 outdoor was and vice versa, in clear mode it was restricted and closed at any time either camera .After doing tests I have come to the conclusion that the fault is in the firmware version 3.1.0.1584 of the E1 Outdoor.The solution has been to download the E1 Outdoor to version 3.1.0.989 and everything is perfect again.
@reolink-fiona great, looking forward to try it, but I don't have my PC with me until next week. Wait for me please!!
Hello @Reolink-Fiona I would like to make several suggestions for both the cameras themselves and improvements to the app.1) It would be nice to think of a third color for cameras, especially outdoor ones, such as the RLC-1212A, 812A, 823A. That color could be anthracite gray for example, and according to my point of view it is a color less suffered when it comes to being outdoors.2) Improvements in the app. Although I am testing 4.33.05, I think it is necessary to incorporate in future updates the direct access button to timeleapse in the lower bar where the image quality buttons, take a photo, etc. are, or even in the conversation bar, PTZ, etc. (As it is in the PC version).3) Improvements in the firmware of the Argus 3 Pro. I have FW 3.0.0.973_2205 and when I want to view the image the connection is cut and "operation failed" appears, other times it takes 5-8 seconds to load and is slow.An option should also be allowed in battery-powered cameras and that is that when it is connected to a solar panel, that the energy comes from the panel and not make the battery suffer or that the camera uses the battery between a certain range and from the solar panel in another range. So it could be "normal" display such as Wi-Fi or PoE.Consider these suggestions. Thank you very much.
Answered. Thanks you!
@Reolink-Fiona testing client 8.8.0, one improvement could be hiding the buttons of zoom, snap, record, etc. if the mouse don´t move for example in 3 seconds. Other improvement could be setting the image quality from the general settings. I am testing all and I have no problems yet.
@reolink-daisy Duo 3, Duo 3v, 2V, CX810 and ¿CX1210?
@etlefevre75_488062589780131 I encountered the same problem on my E1 Outdoor pro, overnight it stopped turning left and right, but zoom and vertical movements worked. The calibration did not work well either, it barely rotated. At first I contacted customer service and they provided me with a previous firmware version in case it was a problem with v3.1.0.2838_23102510.Days later I realized that the anchor was too tight and was pressing against the bracket, so I loosened that piece a little, so the screw does not make so much force. Since then the camera goes perfectly.
Hello Fiona. The truth is that these 8 cameras are very interesting. I have recently had the Argus PT Ultra with FW 3.0.0.2115 and it works very well.Perhaps the E1 Outdoor Pro to replace the E1 Outdoor (which is already yellow from the sun although it works perfectly, and can withstand hailstorms...).The Argus 3 didn't quite convince me since I wanted to put it quite a distance from the router but the antennas don't receive the signal well... if it is matched with more powerful antennas it would be perfect. And it can be hidden anywhere, so thieves won't see it.Note that my Wi-Fi is Wi-Fi 6.Fiona, it would also be nice to implement an option to disable the warning/reminder when it takes a long time to live view a camera (for example the Argus PT Ultra).
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Hello. So I'm moving from 8.10 beta to 8.8.4.On the other hand, the version of the E1 Outdoor was provided to me by the support of Reolink, attaching the UID of the camera in the email with the request, so I understand that the .pak they provided me was correct.Thank you very much for the clarification.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Hello. Yes, I'm testing the 8.10 beta since before I updated the E1 outdoor. I already realized the other day from the mobile application that something was not going well, since it took time to load. Once it loaded, instead of a sample of the e1 outdoor and another of the e1 zoom, I got 2 e1 zoom. I went to the computer and boom, just like on the phone. They were non-continuous behaviors. It was yesterday when I accessed the program from the computer, 2 e1zoom or 2 e1 outdoor were opened and the problem persisted.Today I downloaded 8.8.4 and tried it, and the same thing happened to me once. Seeing that, I have continued with the 8.10 beta and with the problem, because I knew that the problem was from something new that I had done (in this case, put a new FW into the E1 outdoor).For this I have disconnected the E1 zoom and added the E1 Outdoor, after that I have gone into maintenance and I have loaded the 3.1.0.989. It has been to do that and now it is perfect.
@reolink-fiona camera bought!
@reolink-fiona The most for me is the E1 Outdoor with PoE and the 81MA, the fisheye it´s very interesting. Preorder in EU when?Thanks!
Hello @Reolink-Fiona , I consider it good news to expand the range of dual-lens cameras, but I think that the 12-megapixel cameras that were announced months ago should arrive, or at least report availability on the web (for example: February/23 or June/23).It would also be interesting to plan a dual-lens camera like the RLC 81MA, but in a 12 mpx version. Like an RLC-833A but in a 12-megapixel versionFiona, we need some great news on RLC-1212A and 1224A please.Finally, do you know if the firmware of the RLC-1210A (current 3.1.0.861) will continue to be updated? I think it is a good camera that I have in service and it gives a very good resolution.
I bought the argus 3 pro a few months ago via the Reolink website and now I can give my opinion and some suggestions for possible improvements either via firmware or the launch of new products. To begin with, I consider that the size of the camera is correct, the battery is within normal parameters, the quality of the image and the management from the mobile application is also correct, but from my point of view, it needs to be improved. I detail those improvements below.I have the camera located on the dashboard of the car, when the car is parked in the garage. Since the Wi-Fi connection of the house does not arrive, I have to settle for it recording the movements when someone gets very close to the car, but I see that even when the recording is turned on and the PIR is activated, it does not make any recording. The microSD is in its slot.I also think that it could go up to 5MP but above all have more powerful Wi-Fi antennas.I have yet to install Wi-FI6 in my house, but it has to go through a fairly thick wall, which is the garage.Several improvements could be considered in the argus 3 pro: first a version with a SIM slot, a second is the modification of the firmware so that it can record even without being disconnected from Wi-Fi and a third is to introduce more powerful antennas for Wi-Fi reception.For the accessories section, you should consider selling other support and base options.Please take these suggestions into consideration. @Reolink-Fiona
