Hi,I have updated my Reolink App for Android to the latest version v4.5.1.0 and I found a glitch in this release: - When I switch from potrait mode to landscape mode, the PTZ icon is showing on IPC that have no PTZ feature, when I press that PTZ icon, it goes away for non-PTZ IPC.New feature in this release:I notice that it will not automatically Live Stream if detected running on Mobile Data. I will have to manually press the "PLAY" button to load the Live Stream. It's a bit annoying to me as I don't have the ability to turn on this feature. Hope in the next update, it will have the setting to allow me to Live Stream on Mobile Data automatically.Thanks.
Hi,This was asked in one of the thread before but I have lost that thread...and I believe the REOLINK dev team are aware of this and may consider implementing this feature in the future.Let's just wait.
jworrin,You need to submit your CV in order to do that... Just let the dev team do their magic.
Oh, if this is doable in the firmware, why not?Hope to see a new firmware with this feature.
Wow, I'm amazed with this DIY!
Hi,It's not a bug, it is as designed for mobile devices. The reason is because mobile processors are not capable to handle it as compared to desktop processor.Maybe in the future Snapdragon 10950 series will be able to cope with it...hehe
Maybe this is down to setting the "sweet spot" for the Sensitivity level.
Hi,If you are considering to record continuously for 24h in a budget way, you may choose to setup your Linux box to become the FTP server and point your camera to it. Make sure to select "normal" in the FTP Configuration page on your camera. The second thing is to take care of the loop recording. You will need to make sure your recording will loop over when your hard disk is reaching full. Hope this helps.
Hi,I have 5 REOLINK IPC cameras and they are all recording constantly to my FTP server (vsftp).I have used "slurm" to check the bandwidth usage of it and I don't see it's taking up alot of bandwidth, only about an avg of 5000KB/s (equivalent to 5MB/s) over my 1Gbps ethernet network at home.Theoretically, a 1Gbps ethernet can reach 125MB/s. So, it's actually only taking up about 4% of my home network bandwidth.Hope this helps.
Hi,Please go to NVR >> Menu >> IP channel, and re-arrange the camera channels. The new arrangements will apply to the views on Reolink Client as well as Reolink App.Thanks!
Hi Bob,I do not have an NVR. Can I do that in Reolink Client and it will reflect it to my Reolink App?Thanks.
This is what I like about REOLINK team; they are constantly doing their jobs to satisfy customers with their updates!Kudos!
Hi,I would like to suggest to have a feature to allow setting up the Motion Detection Zones Alert Notification. For example, For Zone 1, I would only like to record Motion Detection to the SDCard; and for Zone 2, I would like to record Motion Detection to FTP Server and Zone 3 to ONLY send E-Mail notification for Motion Detection.Hope to hear from REOLINK what they have to say on this.Thanks.
Hi Chuck,I don't think this is possible over SD card. But if you setup a FTP server on your local PC running Linux to upload all the video footages, you can then setup an SSH service on there with your cron job. This is currently my setup at home, running Ubuntu 17.10 64-bit with running vsftpd and SSH enabled. Hope this helps.
It is highly advisable not place your camera behind a window which can cause reflection of the IR lights.
That is just one awesome DIY job there!I admire your work.I too use junction boxes to hide those cables inside for my outdoor IPCs.It's so fun doing that!
Hi Bob,From my RLC-410S, I don't see this option "Device Settings >> Recording >> Option" to set Pre-Record.Selection_033.jpg
I'm not expert in shutter speed, but I always have the impression that the smaller value of the shutter speed, gives lesser motion blur? Can anyone correct me on this?
Hi Laurence,I am more referring to the Android App here, not NVR Client app.
Hi,This is something I requested in my other post, https://reolink.com/topic/re-order-camera-view-in-the-android-app/But I have yet to get any reply on it...
Hi Brendan,I am too would really love to see REOLINK will consider this.
