Downloaded the latest firmware update for the RLC-810a camera V3.0.0.177 (RLC_810A177_21012103) from the website that had a release date of 06/01/22. I can no longer connect to the camera with either the client or app. Reset button and disconecting power does nothing.HELP!!!Clip2.lvp
I have four Argus 2 cameras and an Argus PT (2k). I replaced one of my Argus 2 at the same location with the PT (2K). I mainly use them to capture critters that wonder into my yard. Argus PT (2K) vs Argus 2 Pros:. Better image detail and better night vision.. Smart Motion detection (Person/Vehicle). Great for limiting alerts and works well.. Pan and Tilt. Great for alignment of image where you want it.. 16x digital zoom vs 6x for the Argus 2 Argus PT (2K) vs Argus 2 Cons:. Slower to wake up and record.. WIFI connection seems a little bit touchier.. Larger in size (Not a big deal for me).. The battery is not replaceable. The PT (2k) is superior except for the slower wakeup time to record. Which is a decrement in capturing the quick moving critters moving thru the image.
Don't believe you can download your timelapse videos using the client software. I believe it's because the timelapse video is stored on the device the app is being run on and not on the camera itself.
I can not reorder my preset points. It only allows me to reorder the patrol points. The above information is misleading and shows reordering of the preset points (Can not reorder them).
I would like to see this request implemented too! I have a need for different views at different times during the day.I would like to have one guard point to start at 7:00 AM and then a different one for nighttime to start at 7:00 PM. Currently I need to open the client and manually change them twice a day, every day.Having a starting time stamp with each preset would automate the process.
@john_350143387672724 Generated the google app password for all four of my Gmail accounts. Everything works as stated it would. All my cameras are now sending Email alerts using Googles two step verification. Thanks for the help!John
@reolink-fiona OK, thanks! I'll try that. I do not want to lose the Email alerts to my gmail accounts.
@ks I don't know, you may be right. I hope it will stay working because I use it heavily for all of my 6 cameras. It would be a big mess for all 3-rd party Email apps/clients if Google blocks them. Just posting to let Reolink know of a potential problem.
@john_350143387672724 I assume the above post means that Email alerts sent to our gmail accounts will no longer work unless Reolink makes software and firmware changes.
To help keep your account secure, starting May 30, 2022, Google will no longer support the use of third-party apps or devices which ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your username and password. Please note this deadline does not apply to Google Workspace or Google Cloud Identity customers. The enforcement date for these customers will be announced on the Workspace blog at a later date.Special Note on Apple Device Sign-Ins. Users who have not recently signed into their Google Account using only username and password will be able to only make new sign in attempts using the Google account type starting from February 28, 2022. Existing users may continue to sign into their Google Account using their username and password until May 30, 2022.If an app or site doesn’t meet our security standards, Google might block anyone who’s trying to sign in to your account from it. Less secure apps can make it easier for hackers to get in to your account, so blocking sign-ins from these apps helps keep your account safe.
@reolink-fiona Client version 8.5.2 has also fixed the scaling problem I was having with the download window and not able to see the download button. Everything now fits and I'm able to click on the download button. And I like the new changes made to the download window(s). Thank you!
That's it, it's set for 125%. I'm not going to be able to change it because I need it to stay at that. Your software is the only one I have problems with. I've already uninstalled the 8.4.0 version and reverted to and earlier version. So I'm able to download now an I'm going to stay on your old version of the client software. Its strange that its the only the "download" window that's effective and not the main window. Something still doesn't seem to be scaling properly.
@reolink-fiona I'm using the recommended resolution for my display of 1920 x 1080. Yes, the main screen adjusts to what ever resolution you are using but the secondary popup screens like the download screen doesn't. Please verify this by testing on a display with a 1920 x 1080 display resolution.
Can't get to the download button on the download screen, it doesn't fit on my 1920 x 1080 display. And there's no way to resize or move the download screen to get the download button to show so I can't download any videos.
Somewhat helpful links on motion detection. I just purchased an RLC-511W camera for the outdoors. I’m trying to determine the best Sensitivity setting for motion detection. Finding it to be overly sensitive to light. Everything light related ... Car lights, turning on a light in the house, shadows changing on sunny days etc. I have a corner lot and whenever a car turns down my road it triggers a detection. I want sensitivity enough to detect critters entering the motion zones. What sensitivity setting are people using at night to avoid car lights triggering detection? What sensitivity setting are people using during the day to avoid changing shadows triggering detection?
