@reolink-oskar Well, 8K cameras make it possible to capture the smallest details that 4K videos cannot see. Facilities that require bolstered security measures benefit from a 8K system. The surveillance system's particular requirements determine its feasibility. One of which is a network infrastructure that lets you stream and record large video files. 8K cameras demand a large investment in storage and bandwidth. Especially for many customers, when the current 4K systems already sufficiently meet current security needs without additional expenditure, these elements can make the upgrade to 8K unaffordable.Face recognition and LCR is already being detected by competitor with 4K cameras and so far we haven't seen these on Reolink. What are Reolink plans to introduce these detection types with the current models? Personally I prefer higher fps both in day light and at night and a higher vertical FOV. And we have issues to watch in clear mode on 4K cameras let alone the issues we encounter on 8K. Today when we switch to CLEAR mode on our smartphone, we hear the audio for a few seconds and then muted. So before you proceed to 8K ensure that all issues happening at 4K are sorted out.

@onlooker_890638347890931 search for my input using P2P relay servers and you will get the answer.
@vodkan_410792752525441 Check with support that your camera has the most recent fw. Email them on support @ reolink . ComMoreover try to change the speed under ptz.
@tewald32_510960214966459 Go to Reddit Reolink community and there is a customer who painted DUO in black.
@jack85_886088460013698 if it is connected to the NVR, it could be that the NVR has assigned a new credentials. Check it out.
@reolink-oskar This camera has potentials. Augment the vertical FOV. Why new cameras are having lower vertical FOV? Is it a sensor or processing power?
@user_628934015619111_628934015619111 I suggest you to email them again and again on support @ reolink . com
@user_711725607157890_711725607157890 I wholly concur with your last statement. I do like criticism as long as it is constructive. This is the way to learn, earn and grow. I do recall you complaining some months ago :). Still awaiting features we have asked right
@user_890148614500524_890148614500524 Follow what we have stated herein and report it to support.
@ruben-rms_333406151225538 Maybe you uninstall it and install a previous version. Then upgrade to the latest.
@westhaven-tcotu_847788504817806 Submit your request to support on support @ reolink . com. The more requests they get the higher the probability of being implemented.
@reolink-oskar In order to be in line with your competitors you need to implement actual calling feature based on VOIP or XMPP. The one implemented is merely based on push message notification. And to go the extra mile, implement face recognition. And what about IFTTT, matter and webhook? Not all customers have HA for automation and I see that IFTTT is very basic. You may include the door lock too as competitors did. There are more and more features to add. It depends on one's imagination and creativity. Just read the customers requests here, at Reddit and in facebook and you will have an idea of what they are after.
@user_628934015619111_628934015619111 I have already raised this issue with support but so far didn't get a solution on choppy audio when connected in Clear mode. It is not a bandwidth issue as you stated but something in the decoding process. So I suggest you to take it up with support so that are aware that this is a widespread issue.

@ken_197973053927635 Using the Windows client, log onto the camera you are going to share and select SYSTEM and then USER MANAGEMENT. Click on add USER and you are prompted to add the user credentials. Select USER type as USER and not ADMIN. This is for you to have full access to the camera. When you are on the camera go to INFO and take note of the UID (I guess you have enabled it as it gives you remote access to the camera),Then ask your friend to install the client and there is a + sign to add camera. Click on it and you are prompted to enter the UID and then once entered and you click OK, the client tries to communicate with the camera and here he is prompted to enter the credentials.....i.e. username and password.
@ken_197973053927635 Create another account as guest. Keep the admin to yourself.
@jcmelchert_886275826479285 Check NVR version against the list provided at https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/16279637037081/And ensure you have the newest fw .... go to Reolink Download Center.
@user_684656311869595_684656311869595 Maybe these cameras were part of a kit in which case they don't have UID. Thence you cannot connect to them remotely.
@chopstix_887064913674433 Put devices accessing cameras and the cameras themselves on same vlan. Otherwise media flows through AWS/Azure P2P servers. This is their design which I don't concur with.
