@paul_321739826311380 I haven't got this model and cannot tell. However, I suggest you to post this at Reddit Reolink. Maybe someone did a 3D design.
@trctr Vista, Win 7 and 8 are history now. And most PC are on 64bit CPUs. We are in 2025.
@user_849934267441399_849934267441399 No API for battery operated cams.
@user_951542971412610_951542971412610 With your smartphone, can you go in front of the camera and see if it zooms on you?
@crimp-on_62210811129 yeah, these fit well on vertical wall. Thanks.
@ahmed24_792373287792775 Normally they are meant to be mounted to the ceiling. But there are some like the RLC820A which can be mounted on a vertical wall and then you can rotate it.However, there are mountings like which allow you to mount dome cameras.
@kimchigun But if you reboot the camera and the client is running connection is not re-established from the client side despite receiving the message on port 3000 from the camera. This message is the same as the response to the aaaa0000 command sent by client when run.
@user_654729016328224_654729016328224 Yes the issue is on the client side. So after restart the camera sends messages to the client with its IP, UID, name, etc on port 3000. The client is failing to process this message. Please report it to support on support @reolink . com. I will report it too. Note that I am a customer like you and the more complaints the more pressure we put on them to sort it out.
@jfcouture007_645096358552133 Are you using scrypted nvr? Try the cameras on their own using Reolink Android client and see if resolution is maintained.
@p-resses_920264448946420 Yes this is required. Thanks to share it again.
@nick_26792935116 Normal spray you find at the DIY store.Have a look at https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/comments/1bjvjju/i_painted_my_camera/
@divtemp52_523299661136020 Did you enable triggering on any motion? This should be off and triggering shall be used on persons, vehicle and animals only.
@divtemp52_523299661136020 CX cameras like the Argus 4 Pro, CX410, CX810, E1 OD CX, etc are good if and only if there is sufficient light in the background such as street lighting. If there is total darkness then you either opt for a camera with IR or add an external IR illuminator. Some customers leave a lamp on during the night. As Kimchigun stated, battery cameras rely on PIR which detects the IR emitted from the object. Immediate detection is when the object crosses the PIR rather than approaching it. PIR is triggered if object crosses two adjacent paths.
@infected_1001635108659405 Wherever possible try to avoid battery cameras and opt for POE. WIFI cams can be jammed by a 20 buck jammer. I used two battery cams in location where I cannot reach them through any cable. They have lots of models but before you start to check them out ensure you know your requirements. In particular check the field of view. Recent cameras have lower vertical field of view. Note also that not all the cameras can be connected to the cloud and on the cloud they only store short recordings. So best option is to have the recordings of the events on their internal SD and 24x7 recording on the NVR. This is what we normally do. At https://www.reddit.com/r/reolinkcam/, you can find a comprehensive comparison of all the models (click on Welcome too the official Reolink.....). This might help you in selecting the proper models.
@bill-doria So camera one is assigned to logical zero and so you get the nvr_00 and camera 2 to logical value 1, so you get nvr_01.
@markjustmark_989272468070601 How big is the file? Unfortunately from the client you can download them. No API access to do this. What is the upload speed at the camera location? Could be that the mobile data uplink speed is low.
@miguel_757048710041829 Try to delete one of the camera from the Win client. Exit client and re-run.See if the client adds it. If not add it through its UID. I am running this version since it was released on 15 cams and never had this issue. I run the client on both win10 and Win 11.
@steven_738981743145089 unfortunately rich message notification is available on battery and dc powered WIFI doorbell cams. I have no idea why they didn't provide on the POE version. You may provide this through Home Assistant.
@nick_26792935116 if you are watching playback from the Android application, the default is that the recordings are being played from the Home Hub (HH) HDD. However, there is the HH icon (enclosed in red) and if you click on it you shall be playing recordings from the SD of the camera (icon changes to SD).Yes, if you click on any thumbnails in event history, the playback resolution is fluent. This is normally used for a quick look. If you need higher resolution you need to go to the respective camera on HH. We told them to provide the clear mode on history too. Have a look at https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000646203-How-to-Playback-SD-Card-HDD-Recordings-via-Reolink-App/
@user_828616743243981_828616743243981 Which camera models are you using? If you set the fps as 20 and i-frame 60 then you have a full image every 3s. This is too much for the details. Should be 1s at the expense of some increase in bandwidth.
