@claytonrice_397473179595004 I thought you already did the deletion and creation of the devices like the previous customer. I did ask Reolink support to include older firmware and clients as this is requested by many customers. I am a customer like you and I am here to give support based on my engineering/software skills.
@claytonrice_397473179595004 Check this https://home-cdn.reolink.us/files/client/electron-release/reolink_setup_8.11.0.exe
@claytonrice_397473179595004 Check if you have it in the download folder?
@jjacq You're welcome. Enjoy.
@user_726829142737134_726829142737134 Depends on the bitrate and the frequency of detection.https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008997773-How-Much-Data-Does-Reolink-Go-Need-in-Normal-Usage/#:~:text=Reolink%20Go%20Plus%2FGo%20PT%20Plus&text=to%20512%20kbps).-,Under%20default%20settings%2C%201%20GB%20of%20data%20can%20be%20used,a%20month%20should%20be%20enough.
@skeptouchous This is referred to as grouping. This has already been suggested by members and myself and I agree that this will be very useful when one has quite a number of cameras. This should even be extended to NVR.
@user_713404410871982_713404410871982 If you have connected the camera directly to the NVR ethernet port then on the client you should only have the NVR in the device list. To see the camera you need to get through the NVR menu through the client. If, however, you have connected the camera through a POE switch (if cam is POE) or a normal switch (non-POE camera) then you can have both the camera and the NVR in the device list of the client. In this was you have better management of the camera.
@fredrik_443121366618298 It is designed to work like that if you are accessing the cameras from an external network. Under this scenario, the media flows through P2P relay servers provided by Azure/AWS and so the bandwidth is limited and incur charges.
@jeffguad4_687165403890297 Indeed you should read the specs of the camera (or any device) you intend to buy and read some reviews to give you an insight of what you are purchasing. Reolink battery operated cams don't support ONVIF/RTSP for the obvious reason of battery consumption.https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004441753-Why-Reolink-Battery-Powered-Cameras-Cannot-Work-with-3rd-Party-Software/?gclid=CjwKCAjw5_GmBhBIEiwA5QSMxIT4fjSjt-6NZZo7Q_I-vuwmylRMJwNPj7RqG6vQwZxWzbfWIa3R3xoCLeQQAvD_BwE
@jjacq Can you delete one of the cameras which is not appearing and add it again? If you still encounter the issue try to disable 'hardware acceleration first' from the client main menu.
@r-c-maeder_691806499725573 I suggest you to take it up with support. With the current fw it is not possible to give such function to user.They need to re-engineer the user management part. They need to assign roles with selectable functions and these role ID assigned to the created user. This is how it is implemented on big systems.
@user_725429948465352_725429948465352 Reolink camera sends a dhcp request every 5 minutes to check that the router is available and this may have cause the issue. Assigning a static IP to a MAC address has mitigated the issue. You could have seen this through wireshark traces. But you need to know the protocol.
@jjacq Windows 10 or 11? Did you use the DirectX tool to repair the DX libraries? DX 9 is required.
@user_726524837326986_726524837326986 Grant full permission on the ftp server. Try to install cerberus ftp server on your pc and check if this is triggered. A wireshark trace in both scenarios can help you identify the issue.
@user_726534656405690_726534656405690 Replication of Google FCM and IOS APNS is a bit complicated and why wasting time to replicate something which is available and used worldwide. Better use the resources to develop your application. Maybe there can be some improvements in Reolink application server when it receives the alert from the camera and pushes it to the FCM/APNS servers. In the alarm setting, do you have alarm delay. If yes try to increase it to 1 or 2 seconds.
@geopisteur_560746898723094 I don't have the equipment to reproduce the scenario. I suggest you to submit a request to Reolink support on https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new/
@mg_349975036309755 This has to be answered by Reolink unless a security consultant does penetration tests to validate the security of the NVR. I used to commission consultants to do pen testing on large systems which are connected to the Internet. If they manage to access to the Linux of the NVR I guess somehow they can access the WAN port. To be secured you need to connect the cameras to a managed switch and apply port locking based on MAC and/or setup VLANs.
@mintz-doron_491232812843136 Unfortunately the application won't let you to record from particular cameras. It will instruct all connected cameras to forward the recording to the application other to local SD, FTP, email (if actiavted).However, I kindly asky you to submit your request to Reolink support at https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/requests/new/
@das-dos_208145718501556 If you are using email/push message notification the untag the motion as illustrated below. Similarly if you are recording and don't want to record any motion, just do the same.
@romu Good afternoon. If your requirement was a FOV of approx. 180 then you should have opted for the DUO 2. As I stated I have the trackmix WIFI and it's on front and had no issue with the guard position. It always returns to its configured position. However, I have this deviation issue on the E1 OD and sometimes it faces the wall and had to recalibrate. In this case there is a gear mechanism issue and I think a fw upgrade won't solve the problem.Could it be that your TrackMix is faulty. Tell support if they have received similar issues and if not try to replace it if it is still under warranty.
