@boomish_893913578897601 Submit your request to support on support @ reolink . ComSo far only android/windows/Ios and Mac. We are asking for Linux client too.
@user_811568924922088_811568924922088 Apart from reset and start all over you have two more options.1. Change the ssid and password of the new router to be the same as the old ones.2. From your smartphone change the ssid and password of the hotspot to be like the old ones. Then from a pc access the doorbell camera and change the wifi network to the new one.
@user_798430758453403_798430758453403 If this cannot be retrieved from the router then it is difficult. Use the arp -a and get the IP and mac address of camera. Would you see it under the 2.4G and 5G on the router side? I took note of your request and have asked support to pass it to the sw dev team. I am not using WIFI 6 as otherwise I would certainly have checked it out. With 6e we have 6G band but again the higher the frequency the lower the wavelength and thence less penetration. So we need more WIFI 6e APs.
@ebaruk_673045617504343 You need to ask Reolink. Perhaps email them on support @ reolink . com. I have no knowledge of Reolink's plan. I am a customer like you providing support based on my skills.
@grod777_275772032561320 I guess you have disabled the Recording Folder Size. I have seen customers on Reddit and even here that the Client has memory leaks. Seems that memory is allocated with malloc() and not freed up. When this happens again use the task manager to see the memory size being used by the client.
@user_798430758453403_798430758453403 Take note of the IP or the MAC address of the camera. Then log onto the router and check which devices are connected to 2.4G, 5G and WIFI 6.Have a look at https://reolink.com/blog/how-do-i-know-if-i-have-wifi-6/?srsltid=AfmBOorrdCk-sbME3bclkjRrupl6w4XsmTtvyfc-Ens9h24bLNi5u5CqAs long as you have a good WIFI signal at the camera location, you don't differentiate between WIFI 5 and WIFI 6 as the camera only requires a bandwidth of around 12Mbps. The assumption is that there aren't a lot of devices on 5G requiring high bandwidth. It's here where you will see the difference. To check the signal strength at the camera, install WIFI Analyser from Playstore on your smartphone. The ideal WIFI signal strength is between -55 dBm and -70 dBm, depending how close or far away from the router/access point you happen to be. -30dBm is par Excellence. The max you can achieve.

@user_829609175638167_829609175638167 they are connected to the NVR WIFI and the settings you are showing belong to the NVR. Can you connect to the NVR WIFI and add the camera using its UID? If you can do this then you will have access to the camera configuration. I know that on the Home Hub you cannot access the camera directly. You need to delete it and add it to the application. And to have access to the individual cameras, they are connected to a switch rather than to the NVR directly.
@grod777_275772032561320 Do you think it was a space issue? Maybe you had more events and subsequently more recordings. Could be a client issue too.
@gr I don't owe any of these entities and cannot answer you. However, you can come to the Reddit Reolink community and there you will definitely find customers who have these units.
@ebaruk_673045617504343 1. Version Differences:V2: This version introduced remote configuration of chime ringtones, lights, and other settings via the App, and set up different ringtones for various events (such as motion detection, human detection, and visitor alerts).V3: It features a replaced sensor and improved noise reduction algorithm compared with V2.2. How to Identify: The most reliable way is to check the doorbell's label Hardware. If it doesn’t have a hardware version listed, it’s V1; otherwise, it’s V2 or above.3 There is no guarantee that you will receive V3. You need to ask for it when ordering. @Oskar Please add your input to the queries raised.
@user_905557223534806_905557223534806 Never encountered such issue. Can you install VLC (freeware) and go to Tools/media information and click the stats tab? Paste it here. What is the duration indicated on the lower bar of VLC?
@carlton1s For the battery doorbell they have to push the new fw and then either let it update automatically or force it manually. I do not use any NVR. I use SD, ftp and HA.
@user_829609175638167_829609175638167 choose other network and add the 2.4G SSID. Maybe it is hidden.
@user_897611227021462_897611227021462 what is your smartphone model and which version of the client you are running?
@reolink-oskar Wishing you a successful, joyful and healthy 2025.
@carlton1s First check that your Doorbell and NVr have the most recent fw. For the NVR go to reolink download center. For the doorbell it is v3.0.0.4430. To get the recent fw for doorbell you need to email support to push it to your UID.Check notes on https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000602543-Hardware-Version-of-Reolink-NVRs/
@joseph_1979 this is me....I try to avoid in depth technicalities except when teaching.
@kimchigun they need to add a fully fletched IFTTT and it would be easy to instruct what other cams to perform. Maybe they are relying on 3rd party appl like HA to do this. But if I am Reolink SM I would do it in house. Programming is fun...@Oskar Can you add Kim as a moderator to support customers. He is an experienced engineer too.
@kimchigun thanks buddy. You should be a moderator too to assist customers as you are a technical guy too. I am in networking, telecom and software development. Try to manage time. Compared to the network elements I work on...this is a peanut. But I am a customer like you and have no knowledge of what is inside. But when it communicates with other entities I can fully understand what's going on.
