@hjwedemark_272067637797095 Try to disable hardware acceleration either from main menu or in the usersettings file. Do a search in the community and you will find what to do. I did add it once or more.
@user_651490629161069_651490629161069 Absolutely good suggestion. Perhaps multiple monitoring points under the control of a schedule.
@carl_329417298338045 FTPS as implemented on Reolink cams supports both the explicit and implicit modes. Ensure you have the ports open on 21 (explicit) and 21 ( implicit) and data ports between 30k and 31k or as configured at remote. In your case since the folder was created then the control port is fine. So maybe the data ports are blocked by firewall along the path. Try to analyse a wireshark trace.
@vve_678585705922807 Can you report your issues to Reolink support? I am using Win version 8.8.5 on Win 10 and the only issue I have is that it doesn't store the resolution selected for each camera.
@user_620089981972582_620089981972582 Just the cache and data of the Reolink client you had to delete. Don't touch anything else. Can you activate any motion and person under RECORD and the same detection types under Push Notification and check that you receive the PMN? Don't forget to save settings.
@adamatis_678013717098701 In Rich notification you shall have the image attached to the notification message. You also need to have an account with Reolink as indicated in https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/10883740871833-Learning-Rich-Notification-Function-?gclid=Cj0KCQjwz6ShBhCMARIsAH9A0qUMg1ZcafAVmoeCCsCFP-6vsuCIQ44MXtAeE4szwbuaPMp0ra1kv48aAqnpEALw_wcB

@md Agree. One of the most common reasons for camera failure is moisture getting into the ethernet connection, the reset button and the power supply cable at the camera end. It can cause corrosion on the metal pins inside the connection which will interfere with power and data delivery. Or worst case scenario it can cause a short and completely ruin the camera with the firmware performing an endless loop. Therefore it is essential that this is well explanied in the manual and moreover proctected sleeves should be included as part of the accessories. Even if hidden under the shed or ceiling or even enclosed in a weatherproof junction box it won't harm putting amalgamated or electrical tape to add an extra protection. With a little extra care and attention, one can make sure that the cameras and connections are safe from water damage which shall prolonged the life of the camera.
@user_620089981972582_620089981972582 Hope you have notification allowed for Reolink client on your Samsung.Tap Settings > Notifications on your smartphone, and then tap Reolink App to allow notifications.Do you have recorded clips? Do you store them on SD, the cloud or the NVR?
@user_597493679579258_597493679579258 Correct.
@adamatis_678013717098701 I do have the WIFI doorbell and have no issue to receive push message notification. I didn't bind it to the cloud and so I don't get the rich notification. Just the normal push message notification. But if you want the rich notification then you need to subscribe.
@crimp-on_62210811129 Of course if there is power then undoubtedly the power fed cameras are the best choice.
@user_677627617915061_677627617915061 Only the PIR circuitry (typivally consumes around 40 microA) is always active if enabled while the other parts are in cold state. Once PIR detects motion then the appropriate hw and routines are activated. This is why battery operated cams are mostly equipped with PIR.
@singh321_161751909703858 Battery operated cams use PIR for motion detection. Have a look at this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000583003-Introduction-to-PIR-Detection-Distance
@user_620089981972582_620089981972582 Can you unbound it from the cloud and restore the doorbell camera? Then try the simple push message notification.
@reolink-fiona Can you please add a link so we will download and test out? As regards security I wish to see more features like the ones I proposed. Thanks for sharing with us.
@bob_659287768359038 I have the WIFI video doorbell and I have no issue to save the email settings and receiving emails when there is a detection. The most important is that you need to generate the password through your google account.Please check with support whether you have the most recent firmware version. They should reply within 24 hours (weekdays).
@user_662928766251024_662928766251024 The original Reolink wedge is angled at15 degrees. If you want a wedge up to 55 degrees then you need to search on the InternetIn this community I came across someone who fitted the wedge of another supplier. Have a look.
@rambo_gorilaz_416613421928616 Unfortunately the days when you have infinite resources and doing tests over and over again have gone. Even renowned international companies won't do the exhaustive tests and the problems will emerge in the field. Sometimes they take months to resolve..........and we are talking about equipment costing millions of Euros. I agree that as consumers we expect that everything work perfect. But it will certainly be sorted out by Reolink.
@ks This has been discovered when the client was made available to the public and has been reported to Reolink. That's what is meant when I stated........ a known issue.
