I have had issues with my two the Argus 4 Pro and have found out that push notice rarely works and also the animal/person detection really su**s-Since most of the detection take place at night or in dark the camera needs the floodlight for this and the light spread is poor and also quailty suffers...Some of the animals are detected (10% of the times) and push notice for this usually dont work at all. I have done all the checks recommended for the camera and adjusted almost every setting without any success. (Stable Internet YES!)Very disappointed with the funtionality and video quality during the dark hours, Will there be any improvment in the detection for this camera and especially the push function?
Yeah, like I said, 30 ft is about right. 8-10m is about right. PIR sensor is the same sensor your home flood lights run off of. PIR isnt the greatest unless it's fairly close. It seems like you're barely out of view of the sensor.
@user_968844101275875_968844101275875 I have my reolink cams linked to HA server and you can manipulate the camera deeper than the standard cam settings.
@zoom996_284685177532577 Look into intergrating them with Home Assistant Server.

You will need a NVR. They have 3 models.
Its local storage. They do have cloud storage for the 4G cameras.
They have this
They have POE and Direct Connected Flood Light Cams
They have 180 cams also with flood lights. They do have PTZ cams, I would recommend to look at the TrackMix
They have 4k and 2k cams.
They do have solar power cams and direct powered cams
They do sell wifi cams. I hope you have wireless backhaul bridges in place? Point to Multi Point links. If not, go look at Ubiquiti UISP Airmax product line.
Going on around the farm? or your home?
Yeah, so it runs on a PIR sensor. I only get about, MAX 30 ft of detection from the sensor. You may need to turn the PIR sensor up and turn the Animal Sensitivity up. So with the ColorX models, you need some light present for it to work really well. I like the POE Color models, they can take in more light in their sensor. You could also turn on Motion Mark and see where the motion limits hit or miss. Thats what I do to guess-timate the range.
@user_951542971412610_951542971412610 By chance do you have the firmware update on both the NVR and track mix? Which model is the 8 channel NVR?
@user_650388602073200_650388602073200 Best bet run it against Home Assistant Server. Then you can rig it. Or get a Track Mix against Home Assistant too. Rig it again.
@user_828616743243981_828616743243981 Are you running it on RTSP stream or ONVIF? Go with the RTSP stream over ONVIF.
@user_672090474369107_672090474369107 The ones that are connected to the NVR, did you add the NVR to your phone app per the UID?
@user_828616743243981_828616743243981 I have used Blue Iris with my reolink cams for a long time. If you change the i-frame intervals to 1x, it should work.2x or above throws it off... I switched to Frigate and had to do the same. x1 worked for all my cams with Blue Iris.
@zackster Really weird... Have you tried a reboot? Then a factory default?
@user_828616743243981_828616743243981 Since you use Code Project AI... you would know these models take a lot of memory, cpu, and space. The cam probably doesn't have enough mem, cpu, space to run the higher model with a larger list of animals. Saying that it wouldnt have the option to eliminate certain animals from that list. It probably has enough to run the super basic model list, which its all animals like objects. Code Project AI uses GPU (nvidia Cuda or intel VAAPI) horsepower to run these higher level models. That's why you don't see the higher models on the camera's SoC. I just don't see this happening on the camera.
@joseph_1979 I can test it tomorrow AM. I will let you all know.
@csonni_539229371113636 Does it pixelize while watching it through the Cam GUI?
@williamsdr_940722652856529 This was added to the RLN NVR like a normal Reolink cam.I have added it to Frigate also... and it runs like normal. `over onvif.
@Chopstix @joseph_1979 So far, I think this cam is worth the $200. It def needs more instructions and information online for all its features. I know it's new and early. It has been fairly easy to figure out and run through.Reolink @Reolink-Alyson would need to take some notes:More info on the product, I'm sure it's coming.VMS APP is nice. Nice I can add the cam to a RLN NRV's (the new AI features are not there, I understand why, just pointing it out)30 FPS and WDR works... even the AUTO WDR works pretty well too. It tries it's best. I have a spot on my front door that the sun rises and my door is dark and everything is lit up in front of it. I always had to tweak and toggle to make it look good. But the Auto WDR senses it and turns on. When the sun moves further into the day, the WDR auto's off. It works like it should. All the AI motion recording features work so far. It is heavy and gets hot to the touch. Doesnt seem to hinder the device functionality. Would like a rubber cover for the Alarm connector on the wired bundle. I understand I could get the mount for it and coil the cables in that. I didnt. I forgot lol. There is a slight lag of 10 seconds when entering the Surveillance Rule section... in the Windows and Mac Regular APP, iphone app, and VMS windows APP. Sometimes it fails and I have to retry. the 2nd time it always comes on. Weird.IR clarity is better. I have a 811A, this Pro cam is a step above it. a huge step. the AI recognition works beautifully at night. The response is very fast... the Smart Night LED option response is very fast too. It's a hair brighter then the 811A. I do like that its a warm color then the bright white LED. So far this cam has operated and functioned like it should and better than my other non pro cams... I think its worth the $200. I always liked the 1240A for the large diagonal FOV. its a huge square. This this FOV is a nice large wide screen (rectangle) view. It's just like the 811A view but BIGGER. longer and taller. Feel like an 811A on steroids! My first impressions is good, I cant hate it. I'm still testing it, this is will be my 2nd night with it. I will keep you all updated! Also I uploaded some nice pics above... My daughter is a photographer and took them for me. I cant take credit for them!
Per @joseph_1979 Request... I downloaded the new VMS WIndows APP. It basically looks like a regular Reolink Link APP on steroids. Has way more user/management panels and features. But the live streaming part looks just like the regular app. This app gives you the AI search feature. I added the Pro cam to it and I could set a static on the cam. It does say Trail version? I wonder if this will be a paid sub app after a while? I hope not. It looks promising.
Over night features worked.LED is a hair brighter then the 811A. IR coverage is great. the Smart Night for the LED worked as normal. I do like the RULE set this has. I have not tested the AI Search feature. MIC is a better quality version then previous non pro models. The Zoom is crisp and responsive.
@idaho947_952681509867726 AI recording worked for me. All of them. the push works for all the AI motion too.
so far this cam operates like a normal cam. All the ai recordings work. 30 FPS is nice and WDR IS AWESOME!it has surveillance rule section and it is super nice. Can customize recording rules. works with home assistance like usual.it does get hot and very hot to the touch. It is fairly heavy too and large. more info coming after tonight…
