@chopstix I have it added to RLN-36… the normal settings are there and work but the new ai stuff isn’t there.
update:Not digging there isn't a waterproof / rubber cover for the alarm cable off the bundled dongle.
@idaho947_952681509867726 So far i cant set a static on this camera... on the reolink app or into the GUI. They both say it fails.@Reolink-Alyson This cam def needs a firmware update... but I have not installed it yet. I have it on my test bench.
got it in!will be installing it tomorrow… wish me luck!
@user_827561404055684_827561404055684 IM running this version on my Mac Mini M4 and it works... I have not had any issues. I have it live displaying 6 cams with the app. at all times.
@nick_26792935116 Bruh man... there is a whole lot of apps that's not apple silicon native. Also there is ARM64 native and apple silicon native... Some trick with that lingo. The difference is the use of the GPU and NPU. Most app do not run against it, it just runs and reads CPU cores. I have a Mac Mini M4 running the MacOS app and it runs great with 6 cams. It can run 4k in high and 16mp in high. Its ran against the CPU cores.
I have quite a few 1240A and I love them!Very large picture and very crisp. The spotlight is a warm brightness.
How do I ask? I cant DM anyone...I guess I could tag her?@Reolink-Alyson Could I be a moderator? Per The 2 awesome guys in this thread. Thanks,KG!
It will be here tomorrow... I ordered some more non pro cams with it. I took Friday off to install them. The price isnt that bad... im looking forward to the 30 FPS and WDR. I ordered a SD card for local recording and AI testing. It's going to be installed on a regular RLN-36 NVR also. I have my fingers crossed.
I have a mac mini set to auto log in with the Reolink to launch. It saves the cam layout. Also with a WIndows PC. I have 6 cameras layed out in a certain way and it hasnt moved yet. I noticed I have to click on the 1st cam in the list, click the 6 box lay out, and move cams around. When I click on the 1st cam, click the 6 cam layout, it's there. It stays there after a reboot, autologin, and auto launch.
@reolink-alyson new track mix?? @joseph_1979 @Chopstix looks awesome!
I will post my experience here... I have not seen any reviews as of now. I have 1 spot that this will work for. I finally dropped the hammer on it.I will keep you all in the loop... @joseph_1979 and @Chopstix Kinda sucks I can't DM you too in a group chat.
@mgolczak_455919485563133 I hate to be the bearer of bad news... but you bought one of the cheapest cams they sell and complained about "mid-class reliable" and "premium" product? Bruh! They were nice enough to go the extra mile for you. Your assessment/review is way off base. You bought one of the cheapest cams they have and EXPECTED more than what you paid for.
I messaged an agent over chat and they said yes...
Ive read the non pro cams can be added to the pro NVRs.But what about the other way around? Pro Cams to Non Pro NVRs?ThanksKG!
@user_956463287464132_956463287464132 The late response is from the PIR sensor. That's how it works. Main reason I do not like battery powered cams. Sometimes you have no choice. But it still sucks tho.I have a PT Ultra too and do not have the issues everyone is talking about. My cam returns to its set point.
The event history is only shown when you have a monitor hooked up to the NVR. It doesnt show in the APPs, which I dont like, but hey it would be a great idea.
@reolink-alyson Ok.. I think I read It wrong...
Capture a full 4K wide view for situational awareness while the second lens delivers up to 6× hybrid zoom for close details (faces, license plates, or package labels) without losing the big picture
So its clear enough to read LP's but it will not record/snapshot, right?
@reolink-alyson I read that this cam does LPR... will that be written to the SD card? Or does it need the new NVR for this feature? Also can this be written to the current NVRs?Will there be a POE version?@Chopstix @joseph_1979
This is what I'm talking about. It's not a switch being compatible. It is a feature that makes the lag. IGMP Snooping, Loop Detection, STP, Multicast/Unicast feature... these are the things off the top of my head that I would investigate. I've been a network/wireless engineer for almost 20 years. I added my cameras manually to the NVR. Per a static and I entered the static into the NVR. IGMP Snooping would help with the scanning of devices across switches and VLAN. Maybe enabling that will help?
