@smarthaus_seb you can add a custom sound without background sound (that sounds as though as you just uploaded actual sound file) to your DB or to any other RL camera by using 2 devices that has headphone jacks and a 4-pole Male to Male audio cable. Stick each end of cable in each device play audio file from 1 device and record using reolink app on other device and send to device. Sounds just like the actual audio file you wanted but can't upload to device.

@reolinkshayla how about allowing us to upload our own audio files up to I say 45 seconds per DB device alart so we can upload our own audio file to let's say motion alart or person or welcome message when db is pressed. Why add to the firmware when the space for firmware can be used to add or improve device??

@reolinkshayla Hey reolink you just proved to all of us that you seriously have NO CLUE what you guys are doing: call screen without live view or even image capture once doorbell is pressed (with microphone on receiver side muted but actual doorbell microphone isn't muted) so we know who is at door before answering??? the point of a video doorbell is to see who is at the door before answering the door or doorbell.

@reolinkshayla when will we see fw for doorbells?. Is this app the Jan 10 update?? If not I hope you fixed the wasted screen real estate on tablets!!

@user_746623229407444_746623229407444 even with a firmware update it probably wouldn't work as it also needs to be implemented in app as well and we all can see their devs have no clue what they are doing.

@davesch_751554035114200 I made a post a few days ago talking about it and even talked about screen real estate being wasted on tablets in portrait mode also the live view and watching recorded footage in portrait mode has gotten smaller. Reolink doesn't know what the f they are doing.

2.) never trust Re(al)o(Crap)Link. the wording is their to make people believe that they actually added to gain more customers but it really isn't there. just like the changing notification sounds for separate devices such as doorbell that they said they added to jan 10 ver but isn't added at all.

@user_780368661364940_780368661364940 by the way it looks this feature that should have been included will NEVER be feature on both the current Wifi, POE Video Doorbells but looks like they are coming out with a new video doorbell. and if that's the case everyone with current wifi,poe video doorbell owners should and better get a FREE upgrade to their new version as they led to beleave the current versions were actual video doorbells which is considered a criminal and suable offence of false/misleading and deceptive advertising in some if not most or all countries.

you must have a dev team that is st**id?? look at a tablet and look at wasted screen real estate that can be used to see video stream on main in portrait mode. small screen = devs don't have a clue at what they are doing. fix the f-ing thing NOW! to where it looked like in portrait mode before they changed it. doorbell ring on devices (other then on dbell & chime) dosnt work you st**id m0r0ns. also you m0r0ns still can't change notif sounds to tell what is a motion detect & doorbell pressed

@reolinkshayla new beginnings will start at CES when consumers like me because I'll be there to begin showing off why people shouldn't buy reolink and will put reolink to shame with showing off reolinks false promises, false/misleading & deceptive advertising products such as the reolink's so called Video doorbell that isn't even a video doorbell, showing off how there is next to no support and both R&D, hardware dev, software dev teams know noting at what they are doing, showing off mods names that argue with customers. reolink if I were you I wouldn't show up to CES because you will be embarrassed and put to shame! so do yourself a favor and SKIP presenting at CES!

@reolinkshayla what are my expectations for Reolink?

start supporting current device's and keep the promise's that were made. like ifttt (in 2018 was said ifttt would be supported in 2019 yet here we are in 2024 and still no damn ifttt!!!), separate notifications categories with separate notification sounds (again was promised yet never delivered) i can mention more but i think you already know the rest. stop saying you'll be supporting whatever when in reality you have no plans on actuality delivering on things you say you'll deliver its just false promising to gain customers and i think we all have cought on to your dirty ugly tactics.

@joseph_1979 but what have they done to improve their current issues with current products other then making them worse and even their apps on all platform's worse?? just seems like they dont care and and only care about pushing more products that will again not get support just like current products dont get support.

and the proof of what I said above is (2018 was asked to have IFTTT support and in December 2018 was told it will be available in 2019 and here we are in 2024 and still no support for IFTTT)

Reolink is the worst Chinese manufacturer for security cameras. you would think they wouldn't be considering the fact that china is basically the hub of manufacturing. (guess when china stole ideas from companies they stole from a company that didn't know what they were doing)
