Hi all,
TrackMix PoE/WiFi firmware is available on the download center now. We have added the tracking schedule & tracking range in the firmware to avoid the blocking of the wall and respect privacy.
Besides the TrackMix series, these two functions will be available for RLC-823A/RLC-523WA/E1-Outdoor with the future firmware.
Only APP/Web have these settings now. The 8.8.4 desktop Client will add these settings. Stay tuned!
Download the firmware via http://bit.ly/3guiZUF.
You need to download the APP v4.34 to use the new features. Download the new APP via the Google play store/Apple APP Store.
Know more about the update in this post, https://community.reolink.com/topic/4522/app-v4-34-update-add-tracking-range-fix-sensitivity-bug.

-If you choose Auto Frame Rate(clarity first), the frames will be automatically adjusted for night vision to guarantee the image quality in dark.
5. Added preview images in Preset point. (PTZ)
6. Optimized the auto-tracking function.
7. Reduced the smearing issue when the camera Pan&Tilt.Reply QuoteShare5- Share this Post

@reolink-fiona I did see lots of improvement and have tested most of them. Thanks for sharing. Good Job. Please let us know if there are new firmware to test out.
-
@reolink-fiona brilliant can't wait to test the new functionality on the RLC-823A . Thanks to the team for implementation of many of the suggestions put forward previously.

Can you add a simple horizontal Tracking Schedule feature to the app/client of the Battery-Powered Security Cameras (like the Argus PT)?
It would give the possibility for example to turn the camera on an area at a certain hour of the day, then turning it to the opposite side at another hour of the day.
It would surely have minimum impact on the battery and put to use the already implemented Pan-Tilt feature in the app.

@antian_631697391706231 The Argus series don't have the tracking feature. So we may not able to add this feature to them. We will also add Tracking schedule to the Battery TrackMix.
In our plan, we may add the preset feature to Argus PT - 2K. Stay tuned!

Hello
As I know about its update changes have been made they are 1. Added the auto-tracking schedule. · 2. Added auto-tracking horizontal range. · 3. Added the time settings to stop tracking , or other is done so share here. -
For me exactly the same ... really annoying! -
Love the new option to set horizonal set points and appreciate the updates. We really need the option to also set vertical points because the lights reflect off the ceiling and wash the image out at night. Hopefully this could be implemented in the next firmware update. Thanks.

I would like to see an option to have the camera remain at the last tracked location; add a Never option to the Time to Stop Tracking dropdown. Then fallback to the Auto return to Monitor Point interval if enabled.
It is confusing right now because Time to Stop Tracking dropdown takes priority over Auto return to Monitor Point interval, and it doesn't say this anywhere.Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@fritolays_721934216421523 Yes, this could be another option for all tracking models. While tracking the time to stop timers takes priority over return to monitoring point.
I suggest you to send an email to Reolink Support with your request. It seems that features are prioritised in accordance to requests. -
@fritolays_721934216421523 Thank you for the suggestion. I will forward it to our team.

Please help!
I need to quickly downgrade to the previous version to make my cameras usable again. Can you direct me to the previous version of the firmware? I don't know the exact version number, but it was the original one that came with the camera and I think was dated July 2022.
I have (stupidly) applied this new firmware to my two Trackmix cameras and now the Android app (Android 13, latest version of the Reolink app, excellent Wifi connection, cameras are PoE connected) is failing to connect to the high quality Tracking stream. Sometimes it will connect but the video is incredibly slow and the audio is choppy. It connects to the wide angle stream OK. It connects to the fluent Tracking stream OK, but not the high quality one. The high quality Tracking stream is the most useful stream.
This wasn't happening before I applied the firmware update. There is clearly a problem with this firmware
I would warn everyone else against applying this update as it clearly has some issues.Reply QuoteShare0- Share this Post

@stuart_185312528715954 Go to https://reolink.com/download-center/ and download the fw and apply it using the Windows client.

@joseph_1979
I don't run Windows. I only run Linux. I therefore always apply firmware updates from the camera's own web interface. That is how I do it on all my Reolink cameras - I have a number of RLC410 cameras as well. I've never experienced any issues applying firmware updates this way. I really hope you aren't now saying that Reolink firmware updates can only be applied through a Windows app??? That would be very short sighted.
I applied your latest firmware to my Trackmix cameras via their web interface. The firmware has applied fine, but as I said, on my phone the Tracking video feed won't display. The wide angle feed displays OK, but not the tracking feed. It just sits there with the spinning logo and "Loading stream...". It does load sometimes, but with very laggy/choppy video and corrupt audio.
I have thankfully just found an incredibly useful Github site that provides links to previous Reolink camera and NVR firmware images. I had to go back all the way back to the original July 2022 firmware (v3.0.0.1123_22071300) and apply that before my cameras worked correctly again. Your latest Trackmix firmware(s) clearly have some issue when loading the Tracking stream with my setup.
It would be very useful if Reolink provided previous versions of their firmware on their download site rather than only the newest version.
