@reolink-fiona Hope you can also add custom sound support, so you can play audio files on the doorbell when pressed. Fun for haloween and x-mas
-
@reolink-fiona hey Fiona, great to see it is on the roadmap, but will be key to see it having these features
*Motion detection and pre-record
*SD card and NVR record
*POE with a separate version for battery and Wi-Fi
*Chime inside the house
*ring and open app when someone pushes the button, showing the video and a PTT button on screen
*Night vision
*Anti-tamper setup
*IP rated for setups exposed to all weather conditions
*Button with soft glow LED back
*Switched output to trigger a 3rd party lock, through the popup window which shows the video to allow the door/gate/etc to be opened
*Head-to-toe video
*Different interchangeable facias
*Has to be slim and aesthetically pleasing

Please consider having a portrait mode which has a field of view tall enough to see if there is a package left on the doorstep as well as seeing a person’s face. Logitech had one like that but is not available in Canada. Very happy with our Argus 2 for the backyard!

@snuuuz_491893022724241 head to to video is a must however, seems according to this page - https://reolink.com/product/reolink-video-doorbell/ it's not happening. If the doorbell doesn't have head to toe video I'll keep shopping around
-
Great if your doorbell can show this:
Yeah exactly like this one, but better, also with apple homekit integration , else no point. The logitech suffers from heating problems, hence not being available in europe right now... circle view 2? All other doorbells on the market can't show package on the floor left behind by courier. Only logitech circle view capable of doing that. Anything else is useless and a waste of money.

@metal-me_488723804848306 I doubt it will communicate with a lock. Maybe a future model will.

It is a real pitty reolink did not come up with a doorbell camera any sooner, so i already purchased a a other brand.
But beter late then never.
I would like:- PIR sensor with adjustable senitivity. So moving objects not close to the door are not registered based on image.
- onvif support
- Matching ( multiple) doorbel chime on WIFI so not all house inhabitants need the app installed / dont need my phone in reach. and also can place the chime longer distance away from doorbell.
- Fast resonse in the app on the phone. So no need to do x many clicks before i am able to talk, Design you UI well. My current doorbell suck at this.
- Try to remove latency ( might not alway be possible)
- Face recognitions and based on recognised face different ringtone on phone / chime
- Large field of view. or even beter, adjustable ( manual of digital)
- night vision with selectable areas that are not part of the exposure caculation. I have one object near by my front door and with night vision the exposure calculation make the image very dark due to the overexposure of the nearby object. ( i wish this on all camera's)
- Allow on the back a little space so a few cm excess install cable can fit in to allow for easy install. Or better, allow install wires to be cinnecte to bracked and doorbell plugs in bracket.
-
Please, make the WiFi connectivity reliable enough so it can really used. I have tried a few WiFi doorbells, and WiFi option is useless, even though you install an access point just a few meters away from the doorbell. For the rest of features, the community is asking for very good options, so as long as you take them in account, I believe you will have an awesome doorbell in your products catalogue. Thanks!

@balimelón_362138258030731 Hello there, thank you for the suggestion. The video doorbell that we are going to release will support dual-band WiFi for a more stable network connection.
-
Would love if it was waterproof as my front door does not have good protection from the elements. Pretty please!

@spoony_418205715329254 It shall be weatherproof but it is best to add some additional protection for it.
-
RTSP and ONVIF essential
WiFi and ethernet options
PoE and bell transformer power options +/- PSU (?USB) delivered power
IR +/- consider light
Google home compatibility with bell push switch and motion sensor
+ wireless chime unit to go with it (battery, plug-in or USB powered)
I'll buy it.Reply QuoteShare1- Share this Post

reolink doorbell cam wishlist
POE/NVR set up
wifi dual band
colour night vision
good field of view
notifications with the preview of face of the person at the door
2k wifi wired version or 4K POE version
modern design. Slim
clear two way talk
plug in chime or support for Google, Alexa, Apple HomeKit devices to alert when doorbell is pressed.
possibly through Matter support
facial recognition would be great.
AI detection
some form of alarm on the chime or doorbell would be good too -
Great idea…. You must have listened to my suggestion last year!!! In addition to the product specs suggested & promised (POE etc), please can I request the highest possible IP weatherproof rating available & a robust casing with strong fixtures to prevent damage etc?
Thanks & I’ll be placing an order as soon as they’re available -
PoE and a button in the UI to activate a doorlock/gate opener/relay directly from the feed.
Two ways I see this could be implemented:
a) a software feature, sending a trigger to whatever smarthome hub yo have Reoling integrated with (Alexa, GH, Homey, Home Assistant etc.)
b) a physical 5v relay in the unit like the DoorBird has -

@Reolink-Fiona & @Reolink-Lorenz Will you incorporate a button in the UI to activate a doorlock/gate opener/relay directly from the feed? (Sending trigger/command through API to Alexa, Google, Homey, Home Assistant etc. for activation of relay)

@cwleth_495534361215110
THIS please!!! Having an unlock button in the same screen as the camera on the app (e.g. for a wifi relay or even electric strike power out) would be a game changer - none of the competition do this (that I can find) -
@reolink-fiona is this wish forwarded to the product team for consideration?
-
@cwleth_495534361215110 I also support the request to include a relay or somethinng it is able to control an electrical door/gate opener with.
-
Love this! Please ensure the doorbell camera will be able to be included/added to existing camera views on our Reolink app. Would be advantageous if for the doorbell will be powered by AC (110-220v) or wireless (batteries) and provide competitive video quality. I'm predominately looking for a doorbell that can set an auto message on movement detection i.e. "Your image is being recorded". Also, please make this available worldwide. I don't know why some security doorbells have "for USA only". Seems the USA feels they have the market cornered on theft/crime? Unfortunately theft/crime exists wherever there is temptation.

The doorbell can be added to the Reolink APP. And of course, the doorbell will be available worldwide. Thank you for your feedbcak.I cannot believe. I think I wrote an email to Reolink asking for a smart doorbell 2/3 months ago. To me was a perfect integration with camera systems, and the reply was: "we will think about it". I said, OK usual nice version for "do not disturb us" but they are actually doing it.
I am amazed and thrilled to see what will be the outcome. For sure, one of the first customer that will buy it for my new home, that will be ready in September. So perfect match. You guys rock. Listening customers is the right strategy. Respect
Thank you and I pinned the post :- ).

Some features to suggest if not already considered;
- 2-way audio to Reolink app
- 2-way audio with Google Assistant / Android platform
- 2-way audio and video stream with Google Nest Hub
- 2- way audio and video stream with Alexa
- bell press notification to Reolink app
- bell press noficiation to Google Assistant / routine integration
- bell press immediate video stream display on Google Nest Hub
- bell press alarm to Google Home audio devices
- bell press alarm to Alexa
- 3rd party routine link e.g. press bell will trigger Shelly relay to open a gate (option to toggle this setting enable/disable)
Looking forward to seeing your next product.
