Do not have an E1 Pro, but this sound not right. I would contact support at reolink.com (we cannot type URLs into this stupid editor).
Explain the problem and ask for a replacement.
Could there be some light source that is confusing the camera? (some light that goes on and off during the night?)

RE: C1-Pro Not Recording
Correct. The specs say "Maximum 64GB SD Card"

RE: recording while in playback mode
Yes, of course. Separate activities.

RE: Delete recordings on Argus Pro SD card
@nenavodi_648284329952350 I cannot find a "Delete Button" on the Reolink Android app.
- Not for an individual recording
- Not for a Date. (or Date-range)

RE: How to protect my new house, suggestions
This is only "my two cents", but the neighbors are not going to be happy with sirens going off every time a cat wanders by your house at night.
No problem with puny spotlights coming on, but sirens? OMG
I would save the sirens for actual forced entry. i.e. entry sensors, glass break sensors, motion detectors, etc. I also went with a monitored security system because all the sirens in the world will not help if I am not home. (Does everybody rush outside when a car alarm starts beeping in your neighborhood? Don't think so.)
Just my opinion. -
RE: PUSH notification test
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Very nice. "Test Failed. Unknown Error."

RE: Need large building, POE, Cloud solution.
@bakkenkl_524424574742716 I believe all of Reolink's RLC cameras support FTP, which copies motion recording to an FTP server which can be ANYWHERE.
i.e. you can build your own "cloud". Not as slick and fancy, but certainly more secure than having an NVR on the premises. -
RE: Video Doorbell Mounting
@pernoi_434276731408615 When I search the internet for "doorbell mounting height", most manufacturers recommend 48 inches (Ring, etc.) One site claimed the "standard" height is from 40 to 48 inches.

RE: FTP v. SD Priority and recording when Internet down but network up
My Reolink RLC cameras record both to SD Card and via FTP to a local server. To be honest, I have not experimented with disconnecting the internet WAN connection to see if the local FTP continues.
I tend to believe that the Reolink Cloud Storage of motion captures would be interrupted by Internet outages. (Have not subscribed to the Cloud, sorry.) -
RE: FTP postpone problem
I agree. The FTP file appears to be "shorter in length (time)" than the Download File.
The utility Media Info confirms that the files are consistently different. (see mediaArea(dot)net)
I see no valid reason for this to be the case. -
RE: zooming or enlarging in on a recorded clip
On my Windows Client, I do not "Pause", I just click the button "One Frame at a time", which effectively stops motion and does not change the zoom.

RE: zooming or enlarging in on a recorded clip
@crimp-on_62210811129 Some more detail:
- Have to remember to make sure that the resolution (lower left) is on "Clear".
- I found it easiest to start the recording playing, then
- Use the mouse wheel to zoom
- Then use the mouse to get the part of the picture I wanted to view.
- Then, just before reaching the point where I wanted a Snapshot, click the "One Frame at a time" icon.
- Once the correct spot was reached, click on the Camera icon to take a snapshot.
In addition, I was testing this with a 12MB camera and found that when a face is too far away from the camera, even a 12MB camera will not result in a clear image of someone's face. -
RE: zooming or enlarging in on a recorded clip
Using the Windows Client, when a camera is in Playback mode and showing a recording, I can use the scroll wheel on my mouse to zoom in on the picture, then stop the playback and a Camera icon appears on the screen which can be used to create a "snapshot". (Alternately, I use the Windows "Snip Tool" to grab part of the screen.
I have only RLC cameras. No idea if this works on the PTZ. -
RE: Argus 3 Pro updated firmware
The latest firmware for Argus 3 Pro is V3.0.0.1117_2207100.
Have you tried the "Maintenance" menu under "System" in the Windows Client? -
RE: Latest app update
There is a web site called APK Mirror that keeps historical copies of Android apps. Of course, you will have to be alert because Google Play will offer to update it (over and over).
For Apple....... (I have no idea) -

Surely there is paint left over from the last time the house was painted?

RE: Battery cameras - totally disappointed
Another disappointment with the battery cameras is there is no provision for changing how the software functions if the user:
- Connects the camera to a solar panel (which Reolink sells) and thus can recharge the batteries every day, or
- Connects the camera to a USB power supply, which provides infinite power.
The cameras are designed and programmed around the concept of prolonging battery life, with no provision for the user to say different.
The nerd in me wants to determine what the battery cameras are doing to conserve power. I have a strong suspicion that it is the modern technique described in this web article:
howiwifi(dot)com/2020/06/25/power-save-methods/
In other words, the camera responds to connection attempts from the Reolink app or Reolink Client because it sends one quick frame every couple of seconds and if nothing comes back, it goes back to low power mode. When I open the Windows Client, for example, regular RLC camera very quickly show the "Connected" status, and the battery camera remain "unconnected". Clicking on the camera causes it to connect in 3-4 seconds. A nerd with good Wireshark skills could probably capture the sequence of "wake" events and determine exactly how long the sleep periods are. -
RE: Can't download videos
@magnust That is truly crazy. I am using Windows Client 8.8.5 (on Windows 10). When I select the folder to use for Downloads (or Images), the Client checks file permissions right then. and pops an error message if I select a folder that I have no access to. If no one on the community forum offers a solution, it may be time to write an email to support(at sign)reolink.com. (I do not know how Reolink is organized internally, but other vendors I use keep the support techs "nose to the grindstone" responding to customers and do not give them time to spend browsing forums or chat rooms.)
I know it takes a while for a response, but they have always come through for me in the past. -
RE: Battery cameras - totally disappointed
Alas, the battery powered cameras rely on a cheap Passive Infra Red (PIR) chip to detect motion. Whereas the line powered cameras compare video frames to detect how many pixels have changed, the battery cameras get a signal from the PIR chip, "motion detected". PIR chips are dirt cheap and consume practically no battery. (A single AA can keep a PIR sensor going for months and months.)
Thus, the idea of limiting detection to only part of the video frame is not feasible.
With all their limitations, there is a substantial market for "wireless" cameras (The Arlo, Nest, and Ring brands come to mind.) Personally, I found the lack of features and the "change the battery" problem made them unsuitable for me. -
RE: Saving SMTP Info On POE Doorbell
GMail changed to requiring app specific passwords. It is a feature on the Security menu under Two-Factor Authentication. Affected my Reolink cameras and my WiFi router sending logs.
(no idea about Hot Mail)
