@user_798371383681275_798371383681275 undoubtedly. Poe and dc powered cams are constantly comparing frames and if an object is detected and its detection is enabled, the camera saves the video. The video also includes 10s recording prior to the event. This cannot be achieved with battery operated cams. Sometimes if the object passes quickly the camera may be triggered and no object is seen in the video (assuming any motion is enabled). To prolongue the life of the battery, only the PIR circuit is powered. Once triggered it will start the execution of the firmware, start recording if enabled, check which objects are enabled, determine object type, check schedule, zone, push and email, etc....
@user_812059413459103_812059413459103 You're welcome.
@user_812059413459103_812059413459103 Then it is fine. I based my comments on what I have and read from their website. It's a good camera and never had any issue with both the Pro and the Ultra. Note that detection is based on PIR which when set to max sensitivity it will detect objects at max range of 33 feet. And this is dependent on the pattern of the PIR. Detection is immediate if object passes across and delayed if moving towards PIR. Because PIR uses the difference in heat to detect movement, ambient temperatures can greatly affect its sensitivity. If one has power at the location or even better can have a POE connection, then it is recommended to opt for a POE camera where detection is based on pixel changes and one can have either post recording and 24x7. This cannot be achieved through battery operated cams.And as I suggested, use a waterproof self amalgamating tape at the joint. The tape bonds to itself once stretched to form a watertight seal.
@user_812059413459103_812059413459103 I have the Argus 3 Pro connected to a solar panel and using the Reolink extension cable. The extension cable has rubber protections at both ends. However, when connecting the extension to the solar panel end it is recommended to use amalgamated tape around the connection. I have this setup for 2 years now and never had any issue.Moreover please check the connector type on solar and camera. On mine they are micro USB and not type C. Type C is only available on the Argus 3 ultra.According to specs it is still micro USB.https://m.reolink.com/product/argus-3-pro/?gad_source=1#specifications
@user_813255349637347_813255349637347 I suggest you to download a clip in clear mode and email it to support on support(@)reolink(dot)comTry to add 1s delay for vehicle.
@user_813266447470777_813266447470777 The context was on scene mode and no nvr was involved.
@user_812889347916005_812889347916005 Rarely there is an upgrade on battery operated cameras. These can only be upgraded if Reolink Support push you the upgrade based on the camera UID.
@user_798371383681275_798371383681275 Detection depends on PIR which at the highest sensitivity has a max range of around 30 feet. This is when object is perpendicular to the PIR (camera) and is moving along which crosses the paths. Of course if you are watching a live view the Detection algorithm is analysing the objects and if human is detected then its icon will be displayed.
@user_812962223550692_812962223550692 I suggest you to contact reolink on support(@)reolink(dot)com
@ml_812798949916887 At the top left hand there are three lines. Click on them. The appl main menu appears. Click on Adjust Device Order and drag devices according to your taste.
@ml_812798949916887 Just change the credentials and nobody will log other than you.
@joseph_1979 oops Windows Chrome........... then you don't have the https/http enabled on the cameras. Use Win Reolink client and go to networks/advanced/server settings and enable them.
@user_812858598310079_812858598310079 I have been using the client v8.15.6 for quite some time and have none of the issues you have mentioned. It won't take more than 3s to get to the live view of both local and remote cams (directly).Versions 8.1X.Y are 64bit clients. Try to uninstall both (32bit and 64 bit) and re-install the 64bit. Then add the cameras.
