RE: New 8.8.5 windows client version
@crimp-on_62210811129 Yep. You have to upgrade it manually. I already notified support.
I cannot understand. I did this many times in my applications. -
RE: New 8.8.5 windows client version
@mamymam2013_465350299701478 Correct. When you click on any camera the defaulted Fluent is always selected. Support notified.

RE: RLC-823a black and white
@user_672035022295050_672035022295050 if it is still under warranty ask for replacement. Create a ticket with Reolink support.
The other cams are of the same model? And I assume it is not placed in the shade? Can you swap position with another one? -
RE: RLK8-800D4-A vs RLK8-820D4-A
@user_667408885637231_667408885637231 It will detect pets in particular dogs and cats. I think it is still in beta version. All I can say is that it detects my neighbour dog.

RE: RLK8-800D4-A vs RLK8-820D4-A
@user_667408885637231_667408885637231 Lower frame rates say under 24fps will have a juddery appearance and will flicker, giving the impression of a low-quality visual. Higher frame rates will appear smoother and more realistic.

RE: RLC-823a black and white
@user_672035022295050_672035022295050 Use the Window client and under Display click on Advanced and you should see the Black and While and color switching threshold. Set it to your desired value.

RE: RLK8-800D4-A vs RLK8-820D4-A
The only differences are the cameras provided and Pet detection (Beta).

RE: bleeping
@user_672101354741791_672101354741791 Most probably the WIFI signal at the cam location is weak and is unable to connect. Can you check the WIFI signal strength at the cam location?

RE: Reolink APP v.4.36 Updates & Changelog
@reolink-fiona That's better. Please push development team for more enhanced features which have been requested by members. Thanks for providing the client for us to test it out.
-
RE: Mobile App improvements
@xaatre Good points. I haven't seen any enhancement on the scene modes feature for quite some time. Status and a scheduler are quite requested.

RE: Reolink APP v.4.36 Updates & Changelog
@reolink-fiona Thanks Fiona. Installed and will do some tests on the test Smartphone. Live view much better but no changes for Argus 3 pro and Duo 2. Stretch mode removed and this means that we don't get the full screen view. I would have left this option.
It is highly appreciated to inform us what other known bugs have been sorted out. This allows us to rigorously test them. Thanks.
Update 18/03/23 ---- So far no issues on Samung S10, S10+ and S21. -
RE: FTP of image on alert is ok but FTP of video on alert is continuous
@user_665631124488285_665631124488285 I cannot reproduce this as I don't have yet the NVR. I suggest you to email support citing the HW version of your NVR. Can you select schedule under FTP and select motion?

RE: Reolink app and viewing camera over cellular?
@d-a-n_l You can get this by capturing a Wireshark trace. First run wireshark and then start the Reolink application. Note that the packets are encrypted but you have an idea of the communication flow. You shall see the client do DNS query to get the A record of the Reolink P2P servers which are being provided by AWS and Azure. Once the client get the IP of each P2P server ( 8 to 10 servers if I recall correctly), it will request the local and public IP of the camera based on its UID. This is all encrypted. Then the client will use the received IPs to establish direct communication with the camera, normally initial packet sent to port 9000. You want more details :).

RE: NVR and Cloud
@smartfamily_666152672268391 You can only bind cameras to Reolink cloud as cited in the following link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008584054-How-to-Bind-Reolink-Cameras-to-the-Existing-Cloud-Account
However, you can use the FTP function on the NVR to upload the files to an FTP server. I don't know whether the uploaded file can be automatically deleted once successfully uploaded. If not available they should add it to their functions/features list. I don't have the NVR yet. -
RE: Reolink RLC-811A making strange noise
@gaël-vanhuynegem_409453155840166 Can you check whether you have sealed correctly the reset button? Maybe you have moisture and is keeping the firmware in cyclic reload. Try to spray some contact cleaner.

RE: Reolink client app won't open on windows 11 laptop with dual graphics
@chade1179_638817498423850 This is a common issue among mobile users who switch back and forth between docking stations and or multiple monitors to the single display on their laptop. The programs are remembering the last X - Y coordinates they were opened on when the device was connected to an additional monitor. Those coordinates have not refreshed and as a result, they are opening in a virtual desktop area that is not part of the physical display.
To overcome this, you have a couple options: right-click + shift the program icon in the taskbar > select Move. Your mouse cursor will now jump to wherever the program is (somewhere off screen). While holding down the left mouse button, move the mouse around until the program comes into the display. Alternatively, you can use the cursor keys to do the same thing. This may take a few tries as you will not know if the mouse has jumped either up-down-left or right.
The other option is to locate the program settings in the windows registry (most modern programs dont use this type of X-Y positioning). I will use Notepad as an example. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Notepad. You will see several DWORD values that denote the Windows Position (measure by pixel position). These values indicate where notepad was in elation to desktop display when it was closed. To reset, you would simply delete these values and then launch Notepad to bring to the center of the main display.
Be cautious when editing registry.
