@chitdave_638514715078792 distinct functionalities. Check Argus 3 Pro before buying Lumus.
@robertklep_679384755609789 Email support and they will assist you.
@vigy_591093180735512 Push message notification only works on Android(FCM) and Ios (APNS).
@br0kk_364437421093061 if they won't upgrade then click on manual update. Take note of the current firmware.
@villasecurity Unfortunately the siren will go off once the recording will end and this is not what you are after. So in addition to the camera system you need a burglar alarm system which shall have the siren sounding for an average period of 20 min and then it goes off. Normally a flashing light keeps going after the siren has been cut off. Some countries have restriction on the max cut-off time. Another option would be to use the Reolink Floodlight. If your camera can be linked to the floodlight then you can trigger the floodlight and its siren for a max of 10 min. I never tested this. Check this out.https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/11725154886297-How-to-Link-IoT-Devices-to-Cameras
Happy Easter! I hope you're surrounded by sunshine, flowers, chocolate, and family on this happy day. And with a peace of mind of being well guarded by Reolink.
@fugu31_677721121648810 Well said. Today the hardware is what is it and the functionalities mostly come from the software. And in software there is never a conclusion but depends on one's creativity.
@ff_478060152914139 This is available in Reolink download center at https://reolink.com/software-and-manual/
@wg_321310122061999 if you have the floodlight as part of the installation you can link it to the video doorbell and when it detects a person you can switch on the floodlight and its siren.Follow this link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/10905147744025
@md Exactly.
@vasanthkumar15_115466312192137 This is a standard cable and you can buy from Ali Express. If you can unscrew the back and access the board then it is fairly easy.https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32837506833.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.11.3aba6c30j7Cmzb&algo_pvid=d41c40bf-4d7f-4dac-8e18-0e06944006a1&algo_exp_id=d41c40bf-4d7f-4dac-8e18-0e06944006a1-5&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21GBP%212.75%212.37%21%21%21%21%21%40211bf3f716807005937111230d06c0%2112000026754395764%21sea%21UK%210&curPageLogUid=tkmK8S0clZR5Ensure you apply rubber gasket sealer.Or else charge the builder and buy a better one
@reolink-fiona We have seen features introduced related to new products but I think features related to the security of the camera per se have been left a bit behind. For instance I wish to see some of the following suggestions being implemented on your products. These will definitely give more peace of mind to your customers.1. Introduce a log of the source IP logging on to the camera. Have the last 20 IPs together with timestamp logged and exposed them to the Administrator account. Here one can check if someone else tried to log the camera. This should be read-only and cannot be erased even if the camera is rebooted or restored.2. Send a push notification or email when user fails to log to the camera. You have introduced the account locked feature but this is not enough as after timeout the account will be unlocked and you have no idea that someone tried to log on.3. Add the possibility to send a push notification when a user logs the camera within a configured time period.4. Add a privacy shutter which inhibits any recording. This has to be password protected by the admin.5. Introduce a heartbeat mechanism between the camera and the P2P servers and in the event of failing to receive say 10 consecutive requests then send an email/push notification to the user that communication with the camera has been lost. Of course this will definitely increase the load on the servers of the service providers providing the p2p service.6. Encrypting the mp4 files in the SD/NVR (using AES 128/256 bits) and files can only be viewed from the Android/Ios and Windows/Mac applications using the combination of UID and password of the camera. Then if the customer wants to pass this video to police then it can be exported with no protection.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Just to let you know that the version 4.36.1.2 is readily available in the download center. Have upgraded the client on two of my smartphones and when free I will do some testing.
@br0kk_364437421093061 You're welcome. I think the latest is 0326_713_572_47. Don't forget to quote your HW version when submitting the request.
@br0kk_364437421093061 According to the link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000616606-Which-Reolink-Cameras-can-Work-with-Amazon-Alexa Argus 2 can be readily integrated with Alexa. Ensure that you have the latest firmware on Argus 2. You need to email Reolink support as this is not included in their download center. Follow the procedure outlined in "https://(remove space)learncctv(dot)com(forward slash)connect-reolink-camera-to-alexa(forward slash)" Kindly correct the URL as we are not allowed to add external links.
@user_679517071716589_679517071716589 All you need is Filezilla/Cerberus ftp server application running on a PC and allow the cameras to upload the recorded files via FTP/FTPS. Moreover there are cloud FTP hosting services which you can subscribe to until Reolink upgrade their cloud service to accept all Reolink models.
@pg_675675905409149 Most probably this was corrected by the firmware upgrade. Is the ftp server on the same LAN as the cameras? Can you install Cerberus or Filezilla ftp server on your PC and connect it to the same LAN as the camera. Then try again with the Clear mode.
@mouse_589870794760200 Can you uninstall the client and re-install using the admin privilege? Are you the administrator on the PC?
@vicky-ndjeuga_679449038373084 Why you need the Mac address which is at layer 2 (Data Link). You need the layer 3 which is the logical address (IP). Use the UID to access the camera as illustrated in the link https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/11802355581465-Getting-Started-with-E1-ProOnce setup if you need to know the Mac Address then got to Network Menu or if the camera is connected to a switch then check the ARP table.
@crimp-on_62210811129 Mine is working on all the models with the exception of Argus 2 as this is not available. What is not working in relation to push message notification is that when you click on the received push notification (after 5 minutes) it will take you to the live view rather than the recorded clip. This was working on one of the last versions. I cannot really understand.
