So far some input from my side too...
@Reolink-Fiona have you possibly got any infos regarding this? Even if vague?
Hi,So I finally received my doorbell and it is good so far except a few needed tweaks But my biggest question is: when will be the chime available separately and at approximately which price as I need at least another one for better coverage. Thanks for quick reply
Just received an email that the shipment will be delayed another 2 MONTHS!!You can't be serious? We - or at least I - have been patiently waiting for already a long time just to be notified about another waiting time till Christmas. I mean yeah nice present (I paid for) but still not satisfying to wait again. Especially as I sit here with a not really functional stone age door bell that needs to be replaced asap.I mean it's nice that we get offered a free SD card, but still I am currently very disappointed and sad Hopefully there will be a miracle yet and the shipment will be earlier...
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Well whats the little Siren Symbol then? The third one in scene mode?First is Push, second Record, third siren, 4th email?https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026049414-How-to-Set-the-Scene-Mode-for-Your-CamerasJust curious without having checked by myself, because intuitively it means for me disable/enable siren...
@robert-leyzerovich_519547077562499 Isn't this mostly already included in scene mode? At least there you have the possibility to disable all sirens at once. It also barely takes longer to enter the app and scene mode than to long press the app icon etc.
@user_gil_603497361449078 What makes you think the camera is still there if hit by a hurricane? Or did I understood you wrong?Anyway there are so many factors especially in your case with a massive environmental impact why there is no connection that any guess is obsolete and you'd have to check on site whats wrong in my opinion.Do you have neighbours you can reach that can have a alook?
my husband was able to login and see our cameras before I gave him the password
Now THAT worries me a lot. If this is true and replicable, then Reolink has a major problem with security... I hardly can imagine that, as far as I can remember I already changed passwords on WEB UI and could not see a picture in the app before changing it there too.So please check this twice, also from mobile network. And for the future, don't give away devices without resetting them
@jassi1989_576724897919590 I am afraid I don't really get your issue? Is the picture bad or stuttering?I usually get around 6000-7000 kbps on a 510A in HIGH and around 300-500 kbps in LOW, both in color. That's 0,75/0,038 MegaBYTE/s if that's what you meant. The cameras are wired and I measured these rates from the distance, so through VPN network and mobile phone.Your 2600kbps seems a bit low compared to a 510A, maybe better codec. But if the picture is smooth and clear... I see no problem
@user_607883587289105_607883587289105 As there is already an answer with lots of text I give you a short answer:It is possible to use Reolink cameras through 4G routers as the Reolink cameras usually use a UID and so the camera is reachable anywhere on the world in the App or client software…So there is absolutely no reason to think about IP adresses and so on…
I agree with this answer. We installed a Reolink Camera with a mobile Router (4g or 5g I don't know but doesn't really matter) at my father in law and it works like a charm. He is happy and noticed no connection problems so far.
@user_607190488911996_607190488911996 I think a hard reset on the camera should work qickly. Of course you have to adjust all the settings again.
Hello,in my country there are quite strict legal regulations about video surveillance. One is that it is not allowed to store data for longer than a certain period. Common jurisdiction states for example 72 hours. So that would mean, for a totally legal usage of the cameras, you would have to check for and delete data everyday that is older than 3 days.I would therefore like to see an optional function, that deletes those footage after a specific, editable period (preferrably in hours). So you can decide whether to
Thanks for reading.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Be assured, the camera sends out traffic like crazy when UID is active Just checked it on my router log. So yes this issue can occur, but is resolved within seconds/minutes as the camera sends its data again. But maybe one of the devs can clarify the sync time in more detail.Everything else would lead to customer dissatisfaction when using P2P.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 that is exactly what I said. No need for fixed IP.
Hi,I have several cameras that look at a scene from different angles. Now I noticed that when an alarm was triggered by one camera, whether person or vehicle, it not necessarily triggered the alarm also on the other camera, maybe because of sensitivity settings, distance, object size, whatever...Personally I would find it very useful if you could link some cameras together, so if one registers an alarm it can tell the other camera to record also. Two viewing angles = better identification of intruder or whatever. That should not be a big issue in the same network, as the app for example can register cameras in the same network, so cameras could surely do the same. Or give the opportunity to put in specific IP adresses of linked cameras.Or maybe some kind of "broadcast" the camera sends to the local network and other devices can react. This maybe would also be helpful for an app notification on e.g. mobile phones if you use your cameras only within a local network or with VPN.So that's my wishlist
I saw the doorbell already prepared on the shop site, but not purchaseable yet. Convenient price if it stays like this Guess there are only a couple of weeks left til final sales release. And then please take my money ASAP!!!!!
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Not necessarily, if you use it with P2P, which probably 95% of the users will do, IP adresses are exchanged with your client/app/whatever automatically. Almost every consumer internet product here has a variable IP, so it wouldn't work if you don't renew your IP manually every 8 hours or whatever the lease time is...You would need a fixed IP if you use the camera without P2P and without dyndns and VPN for example. But I still don't understand exactly what the OP is referring to when saying "picked up another network". IMHO that can only be another WIFI, which is indeed curious without any human action.I can also confirm the E1 losing the correct guard position btw... Also the turn radius has changed during time, my far left as it was is now covered by the far right of PTZ... So there is some slipping obviously.
@joseph-chircop_497308027822318 Camera IP is a local IP and has nothing to do with ISP imho.
Have you tried to use another card? Wouldn't be the first sd card that quits working. Had the same experience with a card in my phone. Still was able to read but not to write.
