Hi all,
In the new launch of Client v8.10.3, we have adopted a new framework, which has improved the Client live view fluency according to the user feedback. So thanks for the help you provided during the Client v8.10.2 Beta test. You have offered us great suggestions for future improvement.
We also received some feedback about some issues that happened after the Client update. We care about them and are trying our best to find the issues. If you find some abnormal issues in the Client, you could submit a request with some screenshots and your PC system info, Submit a request – Reolink Support. We will look into them and try to help.
Thanks!

Hi
Good news about the the new Windows client, thank you.
However when I try to install it, I get "64-Bit windows is required", as I'm using 32-bit windows 10 and previous versions worked fine, has 32-bit support been dropped?
Thanks -
@gary-d_344027431432324 Previous clients were 32bit and the 8.10.x clients are 64bit. Therefore to run them you need a 64bit Win OS.

@reolink-fiona i can post some pics sure
at the moment i downloaded 8.8.5...which strangley says 8.7.2 when into the about info of it
any way here are 2 snapshots with vers 8.8.5(8.7.2) one is in standard mode and one is clear mode
Now i update to the new 8.10.3
and
and i just noticed a new update 8.10.4 sooooo
now what i am experiencing is pixelation almost mosiac but not ...like a real low res scaled up etc its more apparent on standard settings for obvious reasons
interestingly after the 8.10.4 new update the software is say new updat still yet the software confirms i am running 8.10.4???
maybe there is another all ready i will look

thanks -

@reolink-fiona Hello, is here solution to set better high quality of live streaming on single camera view? The picture below is so poor to watch live stream. Thanks for answer
-
@smarticek_594824045961254 Do right click on the live view window and select CLEAR. On the camera side set the highest resolution, fps and bitrate for CLEAR and FLUENT.

That is disappointing, it's a shame development can't build a 32-bit version for those who need it, but thank you for confirming. As I have other software and hardware which only work on the 32-bit OS, I'll stick with v8.8.5 for the moment. -
@gary-d_344027431432324 I hope that they will provide both 32 and 64 bit client and let their client upgrade routine download the appropriate client.

@reolink-fiona All I can say is that the recent incarnations of the windows app have gone from bad to worse. It commenced with no indication that the camera was offline when formatting sd cards. With the client version 8.10.4 it now has no blue dot below the date for indicating recordings, unless I refresh several times, and also now, when changing to my different camera's, I have to click the camera several times in the list before I have a live view - despite it stating the camera is online.
Pretty dire really... -
@reolink-fiona I see that a several people have issues with this version of the application. Sad to hear that.
Just to give some good feedback as well, this version is working great on my PC. Windows11, AMD 5800X3D, Nvidia 3080. -
@reolink-fiona
Using current Windows 11 Pro (22H2) OS setup on my system. Client versions 8.10.3 and 8.10.4 seem to work without any visible problems. -
@reolink-fiona Since installing v8.10.4 I only have Audio Alarm, Record, and Snapshot buttons at the bottom of each camera screen. I really need PTZ control for several of my cameras.
-
@reolink-fiona
I'd like to know where to get all of the client versions for my PC. I want to revert to earlier versions and try them so I can fix some issues I'm having. Help me find a list of previous versions please. -
@randy-parker_585425134895222 See if this helps you https://support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012466173-All-Reolink-Client-Versions/
If, however, you need a specific client then email support.

FYI
No problem(s) with the new window client with noticeable speed improvements using my RLC-511w, RLC-810a, RLC-820a, RLC-823a, RLC-823a 16X, Argus PT 2k and Argus 2 (4 cameras) cameras. -
After installing this new version my screen constantly flickers when using the clear view for all 4 cameras in live view and playback. Can you help troubleshoot this issue.
Thanks,

@user_694003558920413_694003558920413 There is a newer version 8.10.4 just in case you are on 8.10.3.
-
@joseph_1979 I am on 10.4. But had the same issue when I went to 10.3.
-
App crashes constantly with 8.10.3 and the new 8.10.4. The app suddenly closes (crashes) without warning. No errors produced. Compatibility modes change nothing. It can happen within seconds of launching or up to 10 minutes of running. Win11 64bit

@michael_167505559982311 Me too. I'm on Win10 x64. Reverted to 8.8.5 has cured my issues.
-
@michael_167505559982311 I have the same problem since 2 updates ago. The program just closes without any errors.
-
Been down for 48 hours trying to get 8.10.3 working on my system(s). Enough is enough, finally uninstalled and found the previous 8.5.5 version and everything works great again. Next time do a Beta release to the community before releasing any major upgrades, they will flush out any system issues. My frustration resolved, but the problem is not fixed!

@dman_694072276783304 where did you find the old v 5.5.5 software?
-
8.10.3 and 8.10.4 gives me lots of flickering and corrupted/distorted imagery intermittently. No issues viewing through the web viewer. Can you guys please fix the Windows app you just broke!
-
With the new reolink client v8.10.4 I have lost the Talk, Time Lapse, Audio Alarm, Clip, PTZ, Record, Snapshot function icons on my PC (HP Pavilion 23, Windows 10, 64-bit OS, 16GB RAM). I have to scroll across the screen bottom, find the location where the icon is normally, and then a small text box appears with the function. I’m guessing this is a graphics issue (?) but did not exist before the recent upgrade(s).
Any help from anyone on this?Reply QuoteShare1- Share this Post

@davedestin_604541370818687
You are not alone. I also have the same problem. -
@davedestin_604541370818687 +1. v8.10.3 and v8.10.4 broke in this manner for me as well. Need Reolink to elevate this and push out a patch ASAP!
-
I had also very bad experience with 8.10.4, It is flickering in clear mode and in fluent/balance mode I can see only lot of pixels, older version was very good.
-
Installed update v8.10.4 now i can not playback from a past date can you help.
Thanks for the help reverted to 8.8.5 all okay. -
I tried version 8.10.4, and while it does seem use system resources better, there is STILL an issue when using the multiple view screen and multiple NVRs. Consistently, when restarting the app, there are several cameras from one of the NVRs that are dropped and you must bring each of them back to the multi-view screen at every restart of the app.
THIS HAS BEEN BROKEN SINCE version 8.8.5. Reverting to version 8.8.5 solves the issue. Has anyone else experienced dropping cameras from the multi-screen view when restarting the app? Does anybody at Reolink test these software releases before pushing them out? -
I have found 8.10.14 and 15 to be totally buggy, confusing camera names, creating ghost versions of same camera, overlaying good cameras with redundant
copies of other cams. In other words useless. Have reverted to 8.8.5 -
The new version crashes to the desktop all the time it is a worthless piece of garbage. an AI could have put a better poiece of software together!!!

this client v8.10.4 work very well o windows 11 pc.

@ramms_119 Good to hear that. I have it running on Win 10 and 11 respectively.
-
running latest version v.8.10.4:
I can't download the "clear" (highest quality) recordings anymore.
Normally you select on the playback screen with right click mouse in the popup the stream quality.
When you switched over in the past to the "recording" tab the video playback (and download option) was then in the same stream quality.
If I select "clear" on playback, the streams on "recording" are still "fluent", If you switch back from "recordings" to "live playback" all is again on "fluent" instead of the selected "clear".
